- matx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I got the banned episode on my computer :D
It is funny - durandtheman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Tom Cruise didn't ban the episode, sorry to burst everyone's bubble. Tom Cruise doesn't have enough clout to be able to ban something from television. What happened was his publicist complained to Paramount, who OWNS Comedy Central, and for the time being, they didn't want any bad publicity before their blockbuster of the summer, Mission Impossible 3 hits theatres, so they took the episode off the air. I wouldn't be suprised if Comedy Central plays the episode every night once the movie leaves theatres. Comedy Central plays movies UNCUT late at night, saying any word they desire. Explain to me how they do that, but somehow the all powerful Tom Cruise has the power to BAN the episode from television. The word BAN to me is something permanent, and I've seen all the episodes of southpark to date. I believe the all powerful Mel Gibson shat on cartman in the episode The Passion of the Jew. I also believe that the all powerful Mel Gibson complained against that episode. I'd also like to mention that I watched that show air again on Comedy Central. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are gifts to television, and I don't see this stopping them at all. Hail Xenu! Hail Parker and Stone!
- unitedstatians, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3suggestion for new title : Banned South Park Episode (by Tom Cruise) on YouTube
- Reddog_x2000, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I hate censorship. So, I'm psyched to see the web being used to defeat it. Wish I could digg this more than once.
- unitedstatians, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1how do you kill you own story?
- ewhac, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Oh, wait, now I get it: YouTube didn't ban the episode, YouTube has a copy of the episode that was banned.
Suggest you kill this story and re-submit with a less confusing headline (yes, I see you've already done this once). - tdyer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2title made sense. perhaps you should continue your ESL courses?
old news, most people would likely recognize this as "Scientology" episode.
What is Digg?
