It should be ok to copy and redistribute a portion of a larger video production as well. - brianb722, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I posted a 30 second clip of an episode of SportsCenter and it was removed after several weeks. It's not like ESPN sells that content to anyone or makes archives available, all my clip did was advertise ESPN and their programming. It's not YouTube that sucks, its the content providers and the DMCA that barely know what the Internet is.

- retrorandy, on 04/10/2008, -0/+0I agree with this guy. I had a whole bunch of great video clips from movies of people I interviewed for retroCRUSH which to me is Fair Use. About a month ago after I posted a pro Clinton video my account was deleted. No warnings about which videos to take down. Just gone. Zip. I tried to log-in and they told me my account was permanently disabled. They're such hypocrites in that the main reason people go to youtube is to look for old movie clips, and music videos people have uploaded. Most of which are copyright infringements.
Most people don't go there just to watch some random guy sing a song or talk about his dog. I say SCREW YOU too youtube! I hate the fact that you took down my videos that took forever to track down & upload. Plus, now retroCRUSH which is a pretty popular site has a bunch of youtube videos you click on & nothing happens. Ugh...total nightmare.
