"She was absolutely terrified that one of the guards or staffers would get her with the cellphone cam and it would wind up on the Internet," a source identified as a Hilton insider told the newspaper."
Yeah I dont think she really needs to worry about that. I think its safe to say that the cat is out of the bag... - ganjadude4391, on 10/11/2007, -7/+195Ya know NORMALLY i would be happy to see someone get the treatment she did, 1 day of secluded jail than out to an ankle bracelet.
in her case I am very happy that the judge didnt stand idly by and let her walk. If we have to deal with *****, so should everyone else. Money should have ABSOLUTELY NO barring on sentencing. - Insomniac33, on 10/11/2007, -0/+110I'd be more surprised if it didn't involve money.
- Langford, on 10/11/2007, -3/+107If this is true, then is sounds like a certain sheriff and a certain grandfather need to spend some time behind bars.
- rebotfc, on 10/11/2007, -3/+96Note, he is also in the pocket of the Scientologists.
"Baca was a guest speaker at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre International 35th Anniversary Gala in Hollywood,..."

But I had to blow the deputy! - graystar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+80The question I have is at what point does she start doing brand damage to the Hilton Hotel group?

WAHHAHAHAHAHAHA - redfan, on 10/11/2007, -8/+66Except that Clooney's comments are actually worth something, since he has a discernible talent.
- djAnakin, on 10/11/2007, -2/+58I have a question... isn't this considered bribery of a public official?
- dracflamloc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+46If a person runs outside into a busy intersection and starts randomly shooting guns like crazy, but by some luck of chance doesn't hit anyone would you say he doesn't deserve jail time?
If Paris drives repeatedly under the influence of alcohol even after a warning and a suspended license, but by some luck of chance doesn't hit anyone would you say she doesn't deserve jail time?
Sorry, my cousin is paralyzed from the chest down now because a drunk driver ran a red light. To me, the two above scenarios are pretty much equivalent. - rebotfc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+45Clooney has absolutely nothing to gain from commenting on Hilton and what he does say makes alot of sense, if you cant handle the press attention dont be an attention whore...
Infact my guess is he would rather stay away from the issue, maybe he is sick to death like the rest of us of the ***** she pulls. - Alegoo92, on 10/11/2007, -2/+44*smacks face in shock*
- drlha, on 10/11/2007, -1/+42"I have a question... isn't this considered bribery of a public official?"
Only in the same way that all campaign contributions are bribery, i.e. legally allowed bribery. - dru171, on 10/11/2007, -0/+40" Ocean's 13 star George Clooney believes the Simple Life star is a hypocrite for manipulating the press attention to create her current "star" status, only for her whinge about the current media frenzy.
WENN reported Clooney as saying, "You can only get so far without discernable talent - then you either work, or use cheap publicity tricks to keep the public's attention.
"Paris has no reason to complain if she is on the end of bad publicity." "
Dugg for this little quotable truth at the end of the article. That made reading the entire thing worthwhile. - elvenseven, on 10/11/2007, -2/+41She's a disgrace to disgraced America.
- dcmjzero, on 10/11/2007, -3/+41glorified traffic offense? she was driving drunk. if you are driving drunk, then your car is considered a deadly weapon, and you no longer get the chance to use it. she was caught driving twice after that. just replace "car" with "gun" when you think about it. if a person convicted of shooting a gun drunk in public was caught with a gun twice afterwards, then they would be in jail. period.
- guinsu, on 10/11/2007, -2/+35Bribery should = jail time for this guy. Campain contributions for "quid pro quo" should be considered bribery. God we look like such a banana republic when this stuff happens.
- gwolf, on 10/11/2007, -2/+34Tell me you are kidding.
- tHePeOPle, on 10/11/2007, -6/+37Exactly rebotfc. This was a failed Scientology recruitment bid to get Paris into the cult. Well, it seems to have failed anyway. When you follow the money, it leads straight back to the "church."
- zweben, on 10/11/2007, -1/+32They should throw them in the same cell as Paris.
- Daedalus81, on 10/11/2007, -5/+34That would be a little too kinky.
- MadOgre, on 10/11/2007, -3/+32"Oh now there's a surprise! I could have a heart attack and die from that surprise!" - Iago.
- wunderdog, on 10/11/2007, -7/+35That's surprising. I assumed she offered him sex.
- Moocat, on 10/11/2007, -3/+30She was getting far less actually. Most non-violent offenses get cut in half during the serving period regardless of what most people would like you to believe. She however, didn't barely serve three days out of what was supposed to be a 45 day sentence. An easy let off would have been a week or two, not three days. Most people with similar records probably would have served 20 days or so.
As for the sheriff's report, the press does not get called on every arrest made, they are however required by law to record their duties and arrests for the day and anyone who wants can visit city hall and request a police blotter for the day. The fact he didn't record it means he was skirting the law himself.
Myself? I really could care less 99% of the time about celebrities in general, I don't watch MTV or any of that crap, but when someone ***** themselves out of a sentence when they are clearly unrepentant, that kinda pisses me off. Especially when it's found out they bought themselves out, the more people that get caught doing this (and then sent back) the better IMHO. As for DWI offenses, it's a whole different topic but as an addition to my comments, driving drunk is pretty ***** dangerous and the lady needs to be taught a lesson that only a few days in real life can teach you. - sonaboy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+29@NikoKun
shut up, hippy.
drunk driving is illegal and examples have to be made. people who aren't rich serve their time when they perform the same infractions. she thought she could play the system and she lost. good.
i hope your hackey sack goes down the sewer. - tconnect80, on 10/11/2007, -2/+26Fry: I am shocked, SHOCKED
- johnnick, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27Dugg if only for Clooney's comment.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25@suzilla
Actually, Bob Marley first wrote and performed that song. I don't even think BTO ever covered "I shot the sheriff". - jefffm, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25tell me again what's victimless about drunk-driving?
- skyfire1, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23She gets her protein from jizz anyway.
- stainboy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+22taken as sarcasm, that comment's pretty funny.
- theexitwound, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22So it'll take a death of an innocent before she gets to learn her lesson?
- Klydethegreater, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21Must be a bear for rich people to buy a politician (all sherriffs are pols first) and the pol won't stay bought.

OMG, if Paris Hilton didn't exist, you would be my nomination for biggest douche in the universe. I hope you are joking. "She hasn't done anything to anyone." Umm, I'm pretty sure she broke the law.....TWICE! - Jams, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20"Hilton, who was dragged sobbing back to jail, said being in prison was the hardest thing she had ever done"
HARD!? Its not exactly like she has to work or anything.. just sit in a room all day. - Iconwolf, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20Never been in a Hilton, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
- Teku, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18I find a comparison between Paris Hilton and Martha Stewart surprisingly ironic.
First you have Martha the A-typical homemaker, who spends her days talking about bath towels and brunch. Then you have Paris who is down with the hizzay or whatever, she is suppose to go out every night and know the streets and whatnot. Yet here we are, Paris is having a mental breakdown while Martha did her time while reportedly giving the other inmates life advise, cooking for them, and making the best of the situation.
Martha goes away for five months for a white collar crime which was admittedly bad but she did not endanger anyones life. Paris gets 23 days for drunk driving which, to me at least, is whole lot worse then what Martha did. Not only was Paris driving drunk but she was doing it when she doesn't even have to. I mean you or I might get tipsy at a party and have nobody around to drive us home, but Paris Hilton can find someone to drive her home at a moments notice even if it is just her body guard so she really chose to drive drunk and endanger other peoples lives. 23 days and a mental breakdown pill popping public threat vs 5 months and a strong woman who was made an example of specifically to persuade the public that the kind of special treatment Paris is getting does not exist.
Yes, comparing the two rewards us with a surprising amount of irony. - xTRUMANx, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19Wow, this article rocks. I was laughing all the way through.
"....she didn't want to use the toilet....She was absolutely terrified that one of the guards or staffers would get her with the cellphone cam and it would wind up on the Internet,"
Like we haven't seen all there is to see already.
"She was being held in a room by herself with a glass door guarded at all times and her psychiatrist spend all day Sunday with her, the report said."
They should allow people to come and watch her. It'll be like a zoo. Buy a ticket, watch her cry, eat, take a dump. Take photos but don't feed the animal.
"Hilton, who was dragged sobbing back to jail,"
I don't know why, I don't care that she's in jail and don't feel strongly either way if she's given special treatment or not, but the image of her being dragged while sobbing makes me happy.
"Hilton apparently broke down, wailing "mum, mum, mum", as the judge ordered her back to prison saying "the order is final and forthwith.""
One of those moments I wish I witnessed personally. - chicagobiker, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18Not only that, isn't there already a 20 minute live action video tape from 6 years ago of her fornicating in a hotel room that's the sole basis any of us know who she is?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18An elected official taking money? NO WAY!
- joklem, on 10/11/2007, -3/+20Yeah, so people need to die for something to happen.
Good reasoning there. Is your wrist still hurting from all that fapping over that crappy night vision pron? - sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17@tHePeOple: you need to have a brain to be brainwashed.

A little iraq time would do her good -
