Why ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Won’t Sound Familiar

The latest piece of news concerns why Lucas hasn’t brought back the actors who portrayed the characters in the Star Wars prequels.

  • 0U8I2, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8I'm glad Hayden Christensen won't be in the animated movie/tv show. I don't want to jump on the hate wagon, but his acting was terrible in the prequels. Remember how he sounded when he asked Padme "Is it Obi-Wan"? He''s been better in other movies, just not in SW. But Christopher Lee will be in The Clone Wars, and isn't that more important? I think so.
  • empressofmetal, on 08/11/2008, -0/+8George Lucas just totally dissed the prequel cast and Angelina Jolie is one swipe. He did get SOME of the actors back though, wonder why those particular actors returned and not others. Was Hayden Christiansen REALLY too busy? Yeah, right.

    I'd bet that they probably persued all actors and some just declined. But why say that if you can just say "I don't need anyone, I'm George f'n Lucas! My stories make billions. Give me the cast of Cheers and the movie will still be brilliant! What the hell is an Indiana Jones? Who are you people?! Where am I?!?"

    Sounds to me like something he'd say, anyway.

  • copperplated, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Did any of the actors return for the previous Clone Wars television series? That was a great series and I obviously didn't notice who did the voices and it really didn't matter.
