- jdbranded, on 07/01/2008, -0/+5Wall-E: Early contender for best film of the year.
- starexplorer, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3no way. i think wall-e ripped off every robot ever created if you want to go that far.
- jdawg, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2any major themes missed in this blog posT?
- ftyuv, on 07/04/2008, -0/+1Wall-E was pretty different from Idiocracy, if you ask me. Idiocracy was about how we're turning stupid; Wall-E was about how even the smart of us are becoming too lazy and complacent, and we're brainwashing ourselves. Those are pretty different messages.
- JoeRockEHF, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1When I seen the previews the first thing I thought was that he looked like Johnny 5.
- virtualsnyper, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1There were a lot of Apple refs in this one. Eve looked like the next iTrashCan in Steve's arsenal. Wall-E's "fully charged" sound was the Mac startup sound ... and I can't help but think Al Gore (who sits on Apple's board) had something to do with the plot.
- virtualsnyper, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1And yes, I realize Jobs' involvement in Pixar, I'm just sayin'
- inactive, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1more towards short circuit i suppose. dang i missed that old title!
- furlopro27, on 07/01/2008, -2/+1And don't forget about 2001: A Space Odyssey. Actually, is it a rip off if it's so obvious? Does it then become a "reference"?
BTW, I thought Kung Fu Panda was better. - pcnerd37, on 07/01/2008, -4/+2It looks like too much of a Short Circuit rip-off for me to want to see the movie. That and I don't do animated movies anyway.
