It is insulting to think that emotional endearment between them means they want to screw each other. And I am not implying that homosexuality is insulting - I imply it in the sense that if I (a female) were to give a guy a hug and someone comments, "So what does that mean? To get really specific, it's a problem with Elijah Wood's narrow-ass acting range. But it's also in combination with editing, music cues, etc.
