- hipnerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14A friend and I saw Office Space opening weekend and laughed our asses off. I tried to take more people back the next weekend and it was already gone. It lasted less than a week in the theater. So not all movies that tank at the box office are crap.

I was all excited about it coming out because I walked away from the first one thinking that Natasha Henstridge was the hottest woman in the world. So of course the movie was total and complete crap. Ten minutes in, I realize that we had completely wasted our money.
Then, a miracle happened. About 40 minutes into the movie, the picture froze and a bright spot of light appeared in the middle of the screen. It got bigger, and then the entire film melted away. The movie was so bad that the projector ATE THE FILM. I don't think I've ever been so happy in a movie theater in my life. Everyone got refunds, and I ran, not walked, away from that place.

Because of the two people who went to see the movie, one videotaped it while the other kept an eye out for theater employees. - payndz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ha, I actually first heard of this movie earlier today (before I saw this story) when I was looking at the-numbers.com's 2006 box office list. Having seen what was at the top, I decided to take a gander at the bottom as well. And there was Zyzzyx Rd.
What I couldn't quite figure out was how there could be two movies *below* it, which somehow earned NEGATIVE box office! Dog Walker got -$3019, and Crash -$825,499. Here's the clincher, we still behaved ourselves.
