- erikerikerik, on 06/19/2009, -5/+23The story sucked, however the visuals where amazing.
- LordDshyzL, on 06/19/2009, -2/+19Yeah it actually is visually stunning but the story is horrible. The director Tarsem Singh has a great visual aesthetic , check out his film from 2006, The Fall, it is visually amazing and actually a good movie.
- inactive, on 06/19/2009, -4/+13I actually paid $16 for two tickets plus popcorn to see that god awful piece o' ***** & Jennifer Lopez didn't even get naked
- junkmasterzero, on 06/19/2009, -1/+9Please tell me you're talking about the original.
- steelersfan7roe, on 06/19/2009, -0/+8DO NOT WANT
- barryiggins, on 06/19/2009, -0/+8something tells me Tarsem's not back on board for this one
- whiskeyklone, on 06/19/2009, -0/+7Anyone who thought The Cell was good despite it's flaws should look for the 'Scary As Hell' fan edit. It removes some of the flaws (all the stuff about Edward's parents) and makes for a much better watch. Still can't get around the poor casting. JLo? And Vince Vaughn in a serious role as a FBI agent? Really?
- sealink, on 06/19/2009, -1/+8Yeah, I thought of the original Cell movie as something akin to an art flick. Amazing to look at, but lacking in just about every other department.
- teethandeyes, on 06/19/2009, -3/+10People are way too critical of modern movies.
I found the 'Cell' to be visually awesome and somewhat entertaining.
I would LOVE to see all of these people that hate on every damn film produce a work of their own. - sindex, on 06/19/2009, -3/+9The Cell is nothing more than an hour and a half long Nine Inch Nails video with all the music replaced by the horrible shriek and ridiculous floundering of J-Lo attempting to act. Why anyone would think making a sequel to that piece of ***** is beyond me...
- GregLoire, on 06/19/2009, -1/+7I haven't seen The Cell, so I'll withhold personal comment, but Roger Ebert gave it 4 stars: http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic ...
Just sayin'! - sHockz, on 06/19/2009, -1/+7The Cell 2 was freaking terrible. It was in no way comparable to the first one. If you were expecting the creepy, sadistic set of the first one get set for a let down. Not once did I feel any thrill, fear, or enjoyment.
Wanna know why we pirate ***** MPAA? BECAUSE YOU RELEASE THIS ***** CRAP, if anyone pays more than $.50 cents for this crap you got majorly ripped off. I feel that I have now lost 2 hours of my life because I watched this *****. In fact, the MPAA STOLE these hours of my life. I am going to sue for $39847234087509273450923598764587 dollars... per second missed - danwallace, on 06/19/2009, -0/+5Why does the CGI look like something from an old episode of The Outer Limits? It doesn't take a big budget to make halfway decent effects these days.
- inactive, on 06/19/2009, -1/+6It is possible she WAS watching the same movie we are. That technology was perfected fpr Spaceballs.
- MaddieCakes, on 06/19/2009, -0/+4This looks like it's shot like torture porn, too.
- Frostek, on 06/19/2009, -1/+5Perhaps we'll find out in Cell 3, that the real sadist in Cell 2 was the person who created the movie, so causing extensive suffering for his jollies.
- Yazilliclick, on 06/19/2009, -0/+3Pirates are always telling jackasses like yourself why they download stuff but you're so busy sticking your thumb up your ass you never get the message and instead keep repeating your circle jerk nonsense of what you think is the reason.
- sappro, on 06/19/2009, -0/+3For what it's worth, I really liked The Cell (the original). I thought the story was entertaining and fresh. The characters were pretty well developed. The visuals were amazing. All in all, a very good movie.
- MisterRik, on 06/19/2009, -0/+3There is a guy called Joe Phillips going around defending the new film against any and all detractors! When I reviewed it and gave the chase scene a particular kicking (two cars, no other traffic, driving slowing around a factory avoiding hitting each other until one of them spontaneously breaks down) he responded to the review saying that the chase was thrilling - and that the film that I should have been comparing The Cell 2 to was Se7en!
- kaniz, on 06/19/2009, -1/+4I remember watching The Cell as a teen and actually enjoying it. Then, last year I took a trip down Nostalgia lane and deiced to give it a re-watch. I think I made it about halfway through before thinking "I actually liked this?" and turned it off.
- Llanowar, on 06/19/2009, -0/+3The biggest problem in hollywood is that they shoot a crappy movie, make a trailer that makes it appear to be a good movie. And when you get to see it it's nothing like the trailer, or all the good bits were in the trailer.
And then they expect you to pay the full price for a ticket without possible refund. And they get away with that, so they keep making more crappy movies. As long as the trailer makes it appear to be good or it has a big name to it it usually sells well. - Wareznuke, on 06/19/2009, -1/+4This crap fest is pretty highly rated and liked amongst the imdb community. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209958/
- buckrogers1965, on 06/19/2009, -0/+3The Cell was based on a series of short stories that was pretty good and they created a a decent movie on the concept of travelling into other peoples minds. I would even call the movie hard science fiction based on the well explained method of using a machine to let one mind enter another mind for psychotherapy. The explainations of how things worked were reasonable and did not detract from the suspension of disbelief.
Cell 2 threw away all the science. She was entering peoples minds by touching something they had touched before. Without any machine helping her. I was thinking "bull *****" to myself a minute into the second movie. Then the entering the mind sequences began and it was the crappiest special effects since movies in the 80's. - Thirty37Seven, on 06/19/2009, -0/+2Watch the car chase scene, looks like it had the budget of a youtube video.
- monkeywithgun, on 06/19/2009, -0/+2That's one of the biggest problem in Hollywood. Who cares how amazing the visuals are if the story sucks! TV commercials have amazing visuals but they're still annoying. On the other hand I can forgive cheesy effects if the story telling is riveting.
- sHockz, on 06/19/2009, -0/+2ok let me clear this up, I did not pirate it. where did i specifically state that i pirated it? ***** idiot. juat because i bring up piracy and the MPAA you immediately think I pirated it? You do realize how ***** stupid that sounds.
i watched it on PPV if you want to know where I watched it. I would have changed the channel but it was a timid enough "thriller/horror" to keep my pussy of a girlfriend interested without getting too scared. So I was forced to continue the onslaught of stupid.
Thank god I don't pay the cable bill. - LogicBomB, on 06/19/2009, -1/+3The only tolerable J-lo movie. And I've very, very sadly seen a few.
- xsecretfiles, on 06/19/2009, -0/+2There wasn't much of J-los ass in the movie last time........
- postal21, on 06/19/2009, -1/+3yeah but check out the cell 2... lol 3.3
- V1z1on, on 06/19/2009, -2/+3It's a good ***** movie, AMAZING visuals, quit hating haters
- ryanize, on 06/23/2009, -0/+1Easy to find actually....
http://www.mininova.org/tor/1736028 - MisterRik, on 06/19/2009, -0/+1Which film? The Cell 2 didn't get a theatrical release AFAIK
- crescentfreshld, on 06/19/2009, -0/+1Loved The Cell. At least the crappy sequel was straight-to-DVD.
- Subcide, on 06/19/2009, -0/+1Because this is probably the only page on the internet in the next decade that will bring together people who liked "The Cell"s visuals, definately check out Tarsem's "The Fall". Its fairly hard to find but is worth a look.
- justhim, on 06/19/2009, -2/+4The story sucked, the visuals sucked. Anyone who remotely liked The Cell 2 needs to turn in their Blockbuster card or cancel their Netflix subscription because they have no business watching movies due to lack of taste.
- kaosethema, on 06/19/2009, -0/+1the only good thing about the first Cell?
J.Lo's ass in panties in the kitchen.... - deadasdisco, on 06/19/2009, -1/+1out of sight was pretty good.
- Talcire, on 06/19/2009, -2/+2This is the only time I ever commented on someone's parenting...but I actually saw two pre-teen kids with a parent leaving the film when it ended. I yelled "Nice movie for kids!"
- Astark, on 06/19/2009, -1/+1The first one would have sucked without a chopped-up horse and a big round latina ass in a skin tight plastic suit. Both of those things seem to be lacking in the sequel.
- MisterRik, on 06/19/2009, -3/+1You were doing so well, right up until the point where you insulted your imaginary girlfriend and used her to bolster your argument.
- Elranzer, on 06/19/2009, -2/+1The last 20 minutes of The Cell looked like something out of Final Fantasy VIII or Parasite Eve, but other than that the movie really sucked.
- torgo112, on 06/19/2009, -5/+3The Cell was an awful movie. I'd watch Manos: the Hands of Fate before I'd watch The Cell again.
- Elranzer, on 06/19/2009, -4/+0"Pirates" are always coming up with reasons they pirate other than that because they can get away with it and they want free *****.
- furntree, on 06/19/2009, -6/+2Are we going to bring back J-lo?
- inactive, on 06/19/2009, -6/+0So...it is such crap that you have to pirate it rather than not watch it?
Do you not realize how ***** stupid that sounds? - agent42, on 06/19/2009, -17/+5No, the visuals also sucked.
