But if Fox had done it, we could be pretty damn sure it would suck major balls. The fact Warner went ahead was probably for the best on that respect.
Now, I think it's highly unlikely that this movie will never see the light of day, after all this hype. It'll probably get delayed, and Fox will definitely want a fat cut of the profits. What we must be worried here is about Fox screwing up the current movie. If they decide they have the rights to put their dirty little hands on this film to "reach a broader audience" or anything of the sort, THEN we can call it a disaster. Can you imagine a PG-13 Watchmen? That's the kind of thing I'm talking about here.

FOX sitting on this script for 20 years is clearly an indication they aren't interested in either, the judge should prevent an injunction, and quite honestly the previous ruling is crazy. It has been a large studio project which would have been impossible to make without the literal (and legal) promise of a theatrical release. Trent has done a lot of great stuff with torrents recently, but he hasn't released any of his pre-independent stuff for free, and for good reason.
