- ErrorLoading, on 12/13/2008, -2/+25Someone record, torrent plz k thx.
- superkendall, on 12/13/2008, -3/+24Even if you only use it for Blu-Ray, the PS3 is still by far the best Blu-Ray player around.
- AcousticBoom, on 12/11/2008, -0/+18Will there be booze?
- superkendall, on 12/13/2008, -1/+15Except for the millions of people with USB headsets who have played Karaoke Revolution, or Singstar, or the millions of people who have bluetooth headsets for phones...
Oh that's right, you wouldn't know about consoles that were actually able to use non-proprietary devices to talk with or install new hard drives from standard PC parts. - xPsych0, on 12/12/2008, -2/+16Or a PlayStation 3.
- seattlerock, on 12/12/2008, -1/+13Damn. I need to get Blu-Ray
- dandonia, on 12/13/2008, -2/+11And nobody only uses it for blu-ray. It has decent codec support (even better if you install linux) and is great for watching youtube/porn on a big screen because you can zoom without losing too much quality. And when you have nothing left to watch you could always load up Home and play chess, pool, bowling, icebreaker, echochrome, etc all for free.
Why anyone would buy a different BD player is beyond me. - TheJas, on 12/12/2008, -0/+6How the ***** do you register? I tried it right after it hit gizmodo and went to this site as directed:
http://warnerblu.warnerbrothers.com/registration/
However, that site says the following: "We're sorry for the inconvenience. The message boards registration system is unavailable
while we implement an upgrade. Please check back later. Thanks for your patience during this upgrade."
It's been like that for a day so am I missing something or what am I supposed to do? - smacksaw, on 12/13/2008, -3/+8@dustin
PS3 is future-proof. Many of those cheaper players are a lower spec and can't support BD-Live, which is the point of this entire Digg submission. - aceakm, on 12/13/2008, -0/+3Poor Christopher Nolan, he won't have a moment of silence during this event haha.
- pe5t1lence, on 12/13/2008, -0/+2LOL, they are just going to record this and put it on the next BR release.
- ZoomBoy, on 12/13/2008, -0/+2So he'll have wine coolersssss.
- PrometheusBorn, on 12/14/2008, -0/+1I still don't see any appeal to BD-Live. I have a computer if I want to go online and read or explore those types of extras. I don't care if I'm watching something at the exact same time with my friends. I don't think anyone wants to see a webcam of me commenting on TDK.
Stupid gimicky frill is all it is for now. - duckarrowtypes, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1Seriously, who has the time for all of the commentaries and extra feature crap?
- dandonia, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1It's your house
- inactive, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1Chances are I'm getting the Blu-Ray as a Christmas present, so I'll just have to wait for the commentary to make its debut on the Pirate Bay.
- wello321, on 12/12/2008, -0/+1I have just turned a light shade of green! Like seattlerock said... :-)
Just tooo late! - smacksaw, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1I can't haz Warhawk?
- Tyler2tall147, on 12/13/2008, -3/+4smacksaw, most of the 200 dollar blurays have an ethernet port, thus making them futureproof, and BD-Live compatible....
- crashingechelon, on 12/13/2008, -0/+1I'm thinking you have to register from the Blu-ray itself. When you put the movie in there's a BD-Live option on the screen and it takes you where you can sign up and register for the BD-Live stuff for the movie.
- dandonia, on 12/13/2008, -1/+1The first sentence makes no sense, I couldn't agree more with the second and the rest is just you been a tool. So I will digg you down.
- BlameCanada, on 12/13/2008, -1/+1Dammit! I'm going to see Bruce Campbell live at a screening of his new movie, "My Name Is Bruce" that night.
I'll be giving away my registration slot to the highest bidder. - RaulMuadDib, on 12/14/2008, -3/+3Will Heath Ledger be there?
- dustinmacdonald, on 12/13/2008, -3/+3Uh, two years ago maybe. These days you can get a Blu-ray player for about half the price of a PS3.
- SilentBob2112, on 12/19/2008, -0/+0Registered, but the "Express Yourself" part of BD live is not showing as active, and I can't get in.
- Ph03N1X418, on 12/13/2008, -2/+1well, that's kind of silly. The guy does submit some good articles. (With his ratio, I guess it's hard to NOT get some good submissions)..
- pgouy, on 12/13/2008, -2/+1C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!
- kdorf, on 12/13/2008, -2/+1I never really understood the point of the Blu-Ray live/extra feature stuff. The only cool extra features are deleted scenes and alternate endings, IMO. I don't really care about seeing some boob's face pasted over the movie while they make stupid comments like "OMGWTF THIS IS SO BADASS!!!11!!" Less so when it is the director, but still not very important to me to hear what he has to say.
- Rhydeble, on 12/13/2008, -7/+5buried for babyman
- slapded, on 12/13/2008, -5/+2was i the only one who didnt jizz my pants over this movie? it was aight.
- A11YND, on 12/13/2008, -6/+2Would be ***** if Giz gave us an actual link to the RSVP site instead of waving around their invite like a 12 year old who just discovered his ***** gets hard.
- screwy3333, on 12/12/2008, -6/+1You can run the digital copy through Vista right?
- warthor, on 12/13/2008, -7/+1Christopher Nolan is a coke head and a jerk.
.... but i guess i will sign up anyways. - GeeksSpeakFont, on 12/11/2008, -12/+1Um yes please! Dark Knight is soooooo good! Can't believe that it wasn't nominated for a Best Film award at the Golden Globes!
