    • teampoop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just got back from a sneak preview. It's a cool movie, as long as you don't let any of the dialog get in the way. The camera work and effects were awesome. I can only imagine it will look even better in IMAX ( Which I didn't know was an option).

      Not all the fight scenes are in slow motion, but the parts that are, you will appreciate ( If you're into watching decapitation, gore, and/or some great stunt/fight coordination )

      Will the wife want to see it? Mine wasn't too happy about being there. She did enjoy picking apart plot points after wards though.

      Definitely on my "gald I saw for free" list. (though I may pay to see it in IMAX)

      1- Good movies must be finacially rewarded (with ticket sales) to encourage more good movies
      2- this movie NEEDS minimum 5.1 sound or theatre sound system. the bit-torrents I have DL'd don;t have that.
      3- it would be tragic to watch it on my 20" iMac vs a huge movie screen.
      4- want to watch special features on eventual blu-ray

If you wanna go complain about MTV's website, either go submit it as a story and see how many people really CARE, or email MTV and complain to them.

    next, could someone please be generous and post a link to a screencapture of the video on either YouTube or on their own site so that the rest of the world can watch the blocked content? I know it would be pretty simple, and I woulda done it by now but yeah.... i live in Canada 8-)

Are they going to significantly edit it before it hits this side of the pond? I probably shouldn't of expected too much from MTV... Proxy info would also be helpful, I've never had to use one living in a free (as in beer) country. Come on Diggers help us out!

I believe they're going to show free screenings at some universities on the 8th, as well. I know they're showing it at San Diego State University.

    • BGFeltenink, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That's why you have an older friend buy the tickets. If that won't work, you should still see it on the big screen so buy a ticket for Polly Pocket's Big Adventure or something (whatever theater is closest to the one playing 300), then go inside the correct theater for PPBA. Wait for the previews to come near an end (assuming you picked a movie with a similar showtime, otherwise just wait about 7 or 8 minutes) then make a quick jaunt into the theater for 300. Easy ***** right there, did it all the time when I was younger.

      Usually by around the time the previews end the people guarding the entrance are gone. Also, don't go on the debut day and when you do go, go during a morning/afternoon time. They usually just guard whatever wing the theaters are in and not the individual one you want to enter. That makes it a hell of a lot easier to get inside. Don't worry about getting caught, they won't do anything to you and you'll be forgotten by the next day as long as you don't look them in the eye or say much of anything (people's memory won't generally recognize people that they haven't actually interacted with).

      I only offer this advice because 15 year olds aren't going to see a damn thing in the movies that will cause them any harm, and likely won't be anything they haven't already seen. It isn't like they show hardcore porn at the theater.
