- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -1/+113As long as they all rock. Sure, why not.
- doiveo, on 02/05/2009, -3/+87Assuming there's a DP that will touch the project, sure.
- seanthebond, on 02/05/2009, -0/+52Lets give the estimate of 3 years to make each movie. There are two already out, so 3 years for 5 movies = 15 years to make all of these movies. --2024
I don't know about you guys, but I can hardly picture 2013, much less 2024. I don't see the WB being successful with their plans, at least not with keeping the same actors. - rheaume, on 02/05/2009, -0/+47BREAKING: Large company wants many many dollars

- twiztidsinz, on 02/05/2009, -3/+42I think as long as the DP's understand NOT TO ***** WITH THE LIGHTS DURING A SCENE MULTIPLE TIMES, they'll be fine working with Bale.
- oboshoe, on 02/05/2009, -0/+35Seven.
Because eight is just way the ***** to many. - JAGUART, on 02/05/2009, -1/+30Why So Serial?
- douce2, on 02/05/2009, -2/+23Spider-man 3 was no where near as good as the first film. Digg me down all you want but everyone knows it's true.
- bjs3171, on 02/05/2009, -0/+17They never ***** learn, do they? How about you just see how each one turns out first, before you commit to 5 more movies. You don't need to run EVERY good franchise into the ground, do you?
- RuthlessPirate, on 02/05/2009, -0/+15Thanks for this, this was my favorite scene in the movie and I had been looking for a screencap of it.
- iceman0113, on 02/05/2009, -2/+16Batman is a fictional character, created by Bob Kane. What he does is not real and it looks like your parents never sat you down and talked to you about this, but don't believe everything you see. Especially if it's in the movie theaters. Even with documentaries, do your own research afterwards. Oh and diggers would not love to see the Joker rotting in prison, diggers would like to see him think up another diabolical plan involving Gotham and Batman.
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -1/+15uh, did you miss all those corrupt cops and moral gray areas and investment in public works?
- Trekhawk, on 02/05/2009, -1/+14Just don't ride them into the ground, WB. Know when to go out on top, before it becomes embarrassing (looking at your current Simpsons).
- inferno10, on 02/05/2009, -0/+12How low can Batman's voice go?
- Bigmodirty, on 02/05/2009, -1/+12I don't know how double penetration is going make the project good
- whiskeyklone, on 02/05/2009, -0/+11It would have been digitally removed by then.
- sjbdallas, on 02/05/2009, -1/+11I didn't notice the wire when I saw that scene in the movie.
- snagglefoof, on 02/05/2009, -0/+10No, no, no. I have a feeling they're going to suck after the third. The best series are the ones that know when to end...
- SystemJinx, on 02/05/2009, -0/+10The DP has to be a nice guy. Christian Bale said so.
- chugatussin, on 02/05/2009, -0/+9hahaha
- spike85, on 02/05/2009, -0/+8*****! This is EXACTLY what scared away Michael Keaton back in the day. I remember when he was asked why he didn't want to do anymore Batman movies, he stated, "I DONT WANT TO BE KNOWN AS BATMAN MY WHOLE LIFE!"
This movie exec idiot just made the same mistake. Soon as Christian Bale hears this, he's going to think the exact same thing Keaton did.
Thanks jack ass. - petebot, on 02/05/2009, -3/+11So...they want one more batman movie?
- fancywares319, on 02/05/2009, -1/+8this next one will come out around 2011 using the 3 years estimate, world ends 2012 so irrelevant
- AmusedToDeath, on 02/05/2009, -1/+8Typical Hollywood dumbassery. Instead of saying "Hey, this movie made a billion dollars! Let's make 10 more until people are so bored of the concept they stop buying tickets!" why not figure out what they did *right* in TDK and apply those good movie making principles to a fresh new story besides Batman? In the old days, you could go to the movies and expect to see something you had never seen before, now it's just another notch in the brand's belt. So boring. So unoriginal.
- praisethelard, on 02/06/2009, -0/+7Think about it. You walk into a video store, you see 8-Minute Abs sittin' there, there's 7-Minute Abs right beside it. Which one are you gonna pick, man?
- bdiggitty, on 02/05/2009, -0/+7I smell Batman Forever!
- nateypoo, on 02/05/2009, -3/+9WHAT DONT YOU EFFING UNDERSTAND!?!?
- Balanced, on 02/05/2009, -0/+6There are hundreds of Batman comic books. Probably thousands.
- glenshaw26, on 02/05/2009, -0/+6Agreed but I'm looking at 1990's Batman #3 & #4.
- immatellyouwhat, on 02/05/2009, -0/+6Are you ***** kidding me!?!?! That's so unprofessional man! Come on Shane!!! You are ***** kidding me!!!
- pnunn, on 02/05/2009, -0/+6Sounds like seven movies a certain DP will not be working on...
- gaqua, on 02/05/2009, -0/+6They're not going to keep the same actors, that much is clear. I'd say another movie for Bale and he's done unless they wave a wad of cash in front of his nose that has to be carried by a forklift.
But that being said, 2024 is only 15 years away. Batman Forever, the Val Kilmer one, was 14 years ago in 1995.
It's not that hard to imagine if you think about it. But then again, I'm 30, so I remember it pretty easily. - Volatile36, on 02/05/2009, -0/+6Christopher Nolan will at least be able to keep going, but he'll get bored around the fourth one and then they'll start to suck.
- slyzxx, on 02/05/2009, -2/+7I`ll watch them as long as they don`t suck.
- Nutmegan, on 02/05/2009, -2/+7That's Fox, not WB.
- TheThirdLevel, on 02/05/2009, -0/+5Heptalogy
- Lst01, on 02/05/2009, -0/+5Bewkes added, "We hope to ***** up the franchise by 2014. We are currently soliciting ideas as to the best way to go about doing this."
- pootpoot, on 02/05/2009, -0/+5I'm hoping the dreaded third-installment curse doesn't rear its ugly head...
Spider-Man 3
Superman 3
X-Men 3 - sanman, on 02/06/2009, -0/+57 movies
just enough to cover the executive pay packages - deetank, on 02/06/2009, -0/+5"That's good. Unless, of course, somebody comes up with 6-Minute Abs."
*starts twitching*
"NO, not 6! I said 7. Nobody's comin' up with 6. Who works out in 6 minutes? 7 is the prime number here man. Step into my office"
"why?"
"CAUSE YOU'RE *****' FIRED!" - neocr0n, on 02/05/2009, -0/+5I can't see Christopher Nolan and his brother Jonathan sticking around for another 5 movies. Without those two they just won't be as good. I'd like to see them get back to making films like Memento and Prestige.
- downneck, on 02/05/2009, -4/+9"Assuming there's a DP that wants to make good money and have a major studio blockbuster credited on his resume, sure"
fixed - dpowre, on 02/05/2009, -0/+5who proofread this?!
- Tyrghast, on 02/05/2009, -0/+5Milk it boy, milk it gooooood.
- SirBruce, on 02/05/2009, -0/+4Why am I the first person to point out that there are actually going to be *EIGHT* Harry Potter movies, not seven?
- TheWilder, on 02/05/2009, -0/+4I hope Zack Snyder, Frank Miller, and Warner Bros. goes nowhere near a live-action adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns.
- Bloodwine, on 02/06/2009, -1/+5Voice acting is respected and lucrative these days. I don't believe it is the red-headed stepchild of the acting universe or anything.
Besides, Michael Keaton will always be Beetlejuice to me. - mikelieman, on 02/06/2009, -0/+4I don't know how it makes it anything but AWESOME!
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -0/+4...what?
