- mediaphile, on 01/01/2009, -0/+175This isn't a leak. This is playing in theaters around the country as part of those blocks of programming they show before the trailers start. I saw this at a Regal Cinemas in front of Benjamin Button. Also, there's no behind the scenes footage, just a description of the characters and the story.
- virtualonliner, on 01/01/2009, -5/+164They should just release the entire movie in hi def on piratebay.
- EMFK, on 01/01/2009, -6/+127In other words, "SCREW YOU, FOX". :-)
- AZRoboto, on 01/01/2009, -2/+66Buried as inaccurate.
This isn't a leak at all, and it isn't behind the scenes. - Corbinwaltz, on 01/01/2009, -3/+58Im surprised WB hasn't released the entire movie yet.
- MrFisty, on 01/01/2009, -1/+24I'm sorry, but when a studio "leaks" something, it means they've "released it officially".
- Bartboy919, on 01/01/2009, -0/+23holy ***** balls.
I never see movies at midnight. But this will be one of them. - DarkShroud, on 01/01/2009, -5/+25And then get sued for libel & damages by fox. A case that fox would probably win and get money for. So fox would walk away getting a pay check while WB gets screwed looses all the time & money spent on the film. Yeah great plan there.
Not to mention that if a studio releases the movie it would probably be in the .mp4 container with the AVC (h.264) codec would would be awesome. And then a bunch of dicks would complain that it's not .mkv x264 because they have no idea about containers or video quality/encoding. - immatellyouwhat, on 01/01/2009, -3/+23Muse's "Take a Bow" was meant for WATCHMEN
- nshady, on 01/01/2009, -0/+18I really hope this hits the release date they keep pushing.
- Emilio8605, on 01/01/2009, -3/+20Haha. I love how the second paragraph had nothing to do with anything. Nice rant.
- unitedkronos, on 01/01/2009, -4/+19Warner Bros. should piss off Fox and leak the whole film to the Internet, cause and effect.
- inactive, on 01/01/2009, -0/+14Better earlier than later! Oh, wait...
- NeoCortex, on 01/01/2009, -0/+14I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a case for libel.
- filovirus, on 01/01/2009, -0/+13One character keeps reminding me of Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder, only white.
- pe5t1lence, on 01/01/2009, -3/+14WOW!!!
Looks better and better. - newman328, on 01/01/2009, -0/+9Read the comic. READ IT.
- dajumbles, on 01/01/2009, -1/+10Fox can eat all the dicks.
- kontraire, on 01/01/2009, -0/+9awwww....do you need a bwankie?
- JamesBondJr, on 01/01/2009, -3/+12hehe, happy new years Fox :P
- c07g, on 01/01/2009, -0/+9You're not special for hating the movie. Hating the movie because it's "Hollywood trash" that Alan Moore doesn't care about doesn't make you smarter either.
Anyone who is a real fan would appreciate someone who is trying to make a decent movie based of a great book, even if it's going to be a blockbuster(why can't blockbuster be good movies?).
Yes it's not going to be YOUR idea perfect, and it never will be. So quit your "Oh I hate it now because it's mainstream now." attitude becuase you're ruining your own day and getting one everyone elses nerves.
BTW: Having that "I'm enlightened, I see how the world really is, and people are stupid for not seeing it." attitude doesn't mean ***** becuase you contribute as little to society as everyone else. - armakaryk, on 01/01/2009, -1/+10we should start a mail-a-squid protest campaign
head to your local fish market, chinese market, or wherever. get a squid (or octopus) and mail it to fox.
i found this address for 20th century fox, which seems good.
10201 W. Pico Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90035
Phone: (310) 369-1000
and enclose a polite yet poignant letter about how pissed you are about them being massive dicks. - inactive, on 01/01/2009, -1/+9Yes it does, people always complain. Even in the hypothetical case that the company for this special situation gives the movie away.
- forthex, on 01/01/2009, -0/+8Mmm, love me some Muse. And that particular song's lyrics are actually very appropriate for Watchmen.
- pootpoot, on 01/01/2009, -0/+7JBrown99, the "rumors" seem to be true. In an interview, Snyder suggests that the alien is replaced by Dr. Manhattan.

Now, I realize that a mainstream movie would need to replace some elements as they are too "comic booky", but what many fans and I are afraid of is that the original intent of Veidt's plan will not come to fruition. If Dr. Manhattan destroys NY, the rest of the world would be blaming the U.S. because, after all, they nurtured and used him throughout the years. The world is united against destroying Dr. Manhattan, but at the same time, they'll probably be pissed off at the U.S. for trying to tame a God. Like any other devastation, people will always look for someone to blame, even after the immediate threat is extinguished. That would further divide the U.S. from the rest of the world. Hopefully, this doesn't turn out to be the case. - bagboyrebel, on 01/02/2009, -0/+7I read the comic because the trailer looked so awesome. Possible one of the greatest things I've ever read.

I posted this a day and a half ago.
Bury me, but I did.
***** you, digg. - alexkball, on 01/01/2009, -2/+8You guys are really gonna be upset when this movie turns out to be terrible.
- lemonloser, on 01/01/2009, -1/+7darkshroud seems to struggle to understand sarcasm.
- alexkball, on 01/01/2009, -0/+6Zack Snyder looks like the illegitimate lovechild of Seth Green and Jamie Kennedy.

Podcast: "Watchmen Video Journals" (same thing) - JamesBondQ, on 01/01/2009, -4/+10Was it just me or did that banner say Minutemen?
I'm pretty happy about that, it seemed like in the other trailers they were going to go with calling the groups the Watchmen which I thought kind of did a disservice to the book's title. - Tochi, on 01/02/2009, -0/+5This movie prompted me to go read the comic. Yes, I'll admit it, I was someone who had never heard of The Watchmen until I heard about the movie. I didn't know what I was missing.
- BrownBears, on 01/01/2009, -0/+5Should they eat all the dicks? Without a doubt.
- VinnieDaMac, on 01/01/2009, -0/+5That's not really a leak.....that's just an interview with some movie footage. Still damn good footage though.
- lulzitsadigg, on 01/01/2009, -1/+6Why? That'd cost money - take a ***** in an envelope instead.
- smacksaw, on 01/01/2009, -1/+6Eh...I dugg it. It's a good clip. Let's suffice it to say that the clip makes up for the subby's gross incompetence on this particular submission.
- Blandyman, on 01/01/2009, -1/+6I've never read the comics, but I'm gonna see it.
My girlfriend despises comics, video-games, all that nerdy stuff, and she can't wait for it to come out. - unitedkronos, on 01/01/2009, -3/+8No wise company would ever spend several million dollars on developing a film they don't have the full rights for. If anything, Fox waited until the film was finished to try their luck and get as much cash as they can, companies shouldn't be allowed to delay their legal intentions just for the sake of a bigger payday.
- Rebornhunter, on 01/01/2009, -0/+5in reply to pootpoot:
*spoilers* It is highly doubtful that Dr.M will end up destroying NY. After watching this footage this was actually an discussion my roommate and I had about it. We have both read the novel and were somewhat perturbed by the idea that it COULD be Dr.M blowing up NY. Then we remembered what Veidt said in his last speech before the big reveal. he said that the alien's transporting technology was actually based on Dr.M's transporting abilities, so in theory it would look like his teleportation to begin with. so chances are that is what you see in the footage, not Dr.M - Pobotrol, on 01/01/2009, -0/+4I'm looking looking for the lawyers' audio commentary on the DVD,
- fmstringer, on 01/01/2009, -0/+4angel by massive attack
- Sasquatchxing, on 01/01/2009, -1/+5I think most people just want to see the movie, and since Fox is pushing to block its release, we're choosing to view Fox as the bad guys.
- solmakou, on 01/01/2009, -2/+6to support fox?
- alexkball, on 01/01/2009, -1/+5Muse is not good. Sorry. It's like somebody took Audioslave and Radiohead, mashed them together, and then shook out all the creative parts, and added a crappy singer.
- IceOfDiamonds, on 01/01/2009, -0/+4muse is pure epic. watchmen the comic is epic. it only makes sense that their paths would cross to reach a whole new plateau of epicness
- golhra, on 01/01/2009, -2/+6Minutemen are the original superhero cast from the 1940s.
Actually - read the book. - knutslie, on 01/01/2009, -0/+4I agree.
- iceman0113, on 01/01/2009, -0/+4I think they should just host a server and release it via bitorrent or bot. Add some subs for the international downloaders.
Then for money they can:
1. Put some ads on the site, I'll be more than happy to click on a few _every day_ until they take the movie down.
2. Make us pay a reasonable amount to download it, which I'll do despite having private trackers.
3. Donation button. - catbeller, on 01/02/2009, -0/+4No group was actually called the Watchmen. That word was reference to the old phrase, "And who will watch the Watchmen?"
