- goonbaggins, on 06/28/2008, -6/+162I think this was my favorite Pixar film so far.
- Rage67, on 06/28/2008, -1/+89Those truly are Easter eggs...
I for one would not have been able to pick out half of those - Falldog, on 06/28/2008, -1/+85The hidden Mickey one is pretty ridiculous.
- Professr, on 06/28/2008, -1/+77YES. It's a great story, and the characters really clicked with me. Also, if you take a significant other with you, you will win.
- YesImAChick, on 06/28/2008, -3/+66Dugg, but I can't follow the link until after I've seen the movie.
- DelvarWorld, on 06/28/2008, -3/+56And here I thought A113 was leet speak for WALL-E
- SifoDyasJr, on 06/28/2008, -26/+73The Mac chime explains why Wall-e is still operational after 700 years.
The other units were running on Vista. - byrc, on 06/28/2008, -0/+46Great movie, though it did bother me that on premier night here in Portland, the theatre was giving away little Wall-E watches and advertisements for "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" to all who bought tickets for Wall-E. Am I the only one who saw irony in given away little pieces of trash at the premier for a movie where the whole premise is our planet being destroyed by trash? ***** awesome Disney!
Good movie though. - digitalunit, on 06/28/2008, -1/+46It's one of the best movies I've ever seen, definitely the best of 2008.
- inactive, on 06/28/2008, -1/+37The Hal 9000 was very obvious. Especially when you hear the theme kick in.
- philadelphia, on 06/28/2008, -3/+35Good content, but the article could use a good proofreader.
- TheBanditKing, on 06/28/2008, -1/+33Jonathan Ive designed Eve? Awesome. Not quite an easter egg per se, but still awesome.
- Asrrin29, on 06/28/2008, -1/+29It's nerd friendly, family friendly, and romance friendly. It has some good adult themes about consumerism and the future, but lots of cute stuff for saps and kids. It clicks with pretty much every movie-going niche except for maybe hardcore blood and guts action types. It is definatly one of the best movies I've seen in theaters in quite a while.
- Spudster, on 06/28/2008, -0/+28They never mentioned that when Wall-E came through and struck a bunch of satellites, one of them was Sputnik.
- DeadSkinMask, on 06/28/2008, -4/+29No Everyone had fun at this movie:
http://www.funnyordie.com/jokes/74b5336851 - joel8x, on 06/28/2008, -1/+26Pixar takes years to make films. They have not made a bad one yet. it would be worth it if the ticket price was $50.
- rebirf, on 06/28/2008, -1/+27The fact that the title is "WALL-E's Easter Eggs" isn't enough of a spoiler alert?
- Thekirby45, on 06/28/2008, -1/+26not really spoilers just random pictures with easter eggs
- CCB0x45, on 06/28/2008, -1/+24I saw it this morning with my gf and loved it, my favorite Pixar movie that I've seen.
Just wanted to mention that the CGI has really improved in this movie, it is pretty ***** crazy how detailed it is this time around. - LuxFX, on 06/29/2008, -0/+23My favorite hidden joke was the robot operating the binary keyboard (he was guarding an elevator or door entrance, I can't remember exactly). The keyboard had a couple hundred keys but they were all 1's and 0's. And the robot was hunt-and-peck typing anyway!
- aladrin, on 06/28/2008, -1/+24So the 'orange caution cones' were from Toy Story, and not every single construction job in the entire world, eh?
And 'BURN-E' isn't exactly an easter egg... It's not like they added him in reference to anything... The supposed movie about him isn't even available yet, and he was part of the plot (sort of.)
Other than that, it's a good list. I did indeed miss most of them. - carpespasm, on 06/28/2008, -1/+23the hidden mickey and mr incredible ones were pretty weak, and I'm not sure you can call the fact that they're making a WALL E short film for the dvd release an easter egg, but this is a cool list.
- virtualball, on 06/28/2008, -2/+24Anyone who went, was it worth it?
- wacomwacoff, on 06/28/2008, -1/+22Brilliant movie. Works as a great sci-fi movie, a great love story, and a great animated feature.
- marksands07, on 06/28/2008, -0/+20The only one I caught was the mac chime..
- Professr, on 06/28/2008, -1/+21I do.
- DrFeltersnatch, on 06/29/2008, -0/+19I liked how the president said "Stay the course"
- inactive, on 06/29/2008, -0/+17You fail. That wasn't even remotely funny.
- STARTSOMETHING, on 06/28/2008, -2/+19Go see it. It was the best Pixar movie made, to date!
- dsgamer, on 06/28/2008, -0/+16and thats saying something!
- GreatOne08, on 06/28/2008, -1/+16WALL-E Rocks
- AmICoolNow, on 06/29/2008, -0/+13I just saw it last night and it was great. The guy sitting behind me was getting a blowjob, apparently the movie was pretty arousing.
- Asrrin29, on 06/28/2008, -0/+13Not so much an easter egg, but the ending credits are a real treat, especially if you like 8-bit theater. I wish I could find a place online that has those, would love to put the sprites in a game.
- IVIrMP3, on 06/28/2008, -0/+12There aren't any spoilers. Its going to be fun trying to spot all these when I go see it!
- TrevorBradley, on 06/29/2008, -1/+12The first half hour of this movie was daring. It made the adults feel uncomfortable, and I heard kids shuffling in their seats. It was a big risk which they pulled off IMO.
I took my daughters to the movie, on the way home I asked who was their favourite character. They both liked Eve (She is admittedly badass), and I liked the ships captain. This story wasn't about Wall-E himself even if he was the protagonist... - fowleryo, on 06/28/2008, -0/+11easily the best of 08
- captainspud, on 06/29/2008, -6/+16I dunno... Cars was pretty lame.
- inactive, on 06/28/2008, -0/+10Its the mac chine from around the mid 90s I think. There were many variations depending on machines and the year they came out in, all very slightly differentiated. The compact macs and that era made a high pitched bing where as now they make a low pitched bong sound. The one in the movie sounded like my powerbook 1400cs.
- tyywebb, on 06/29/2008, -0/+10I was thinking that this movie is pretty much on par with movies that came out when I was a kid in terms of being a classic. Then I was thinking man, imagine being a kid when this comes out and growing up and looking back on it as dated. Nuts!
- dsgamer, on 06/28/2008, -0/+10yeah that was pretty cool
- inactive, on 06/28/2008, -0/+10One of the coolest Easter Eggs was the Mr. Incredible Comic Book that the kid was reading at the end of Finding Nemo.
- KMartSheriff, on 06/28/2008, -2/+12...Sucks.
Madagascar 2 looks terrible. And why do all these movies have to have the main characters doing a music video to some ***** song (Madagascar 2, that retarded Chihuahua movie)? - deadnoob, on 06/28/2008, -1/+11Should I click the link or see the movie first?
- MickJT, on 06/29/2008, -0/+9Compliment to this story: http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/200 ...
- CarStan, on 06/28/2008, -1/+10three letters: S E X
- Professr, on 06/28/2008, -0/+8When they plugged eve up to a screen to watch her video recordings, the plug position and design looked like they were hooking up an ipod video.
- punkcat, on 06/28/2008, -1/+8so showing shots of earth as a junk yard was a surprise to you?
didnt know identifying pieces of it would ruin the story for you. - Skootles, on 06/28/2008, -2/+10Snorkel.
See? I can do it too. - bs0l, on 06/28/2008, -0/+7If I was him, I'd be pissed off too.
- tyywebb, on 06/29/2008, -0/+7I've always been a fan of Futureworld, Space Mountain, Epcot, etc so this movie was pretty much an hour and a half nerdgasm for me.
