They used the "3ivx D4 4.5.1" video codec which QuickTime can understand provided that the end viewer is willing to hunt down and install the required 3rd party codec.
I don't know much about "3ivx" so I can't address your "non-crap" thoughts (and I don't mean that sarcastically). But you're right if you were implying that there are some advantages to using the codecs that come bundled with media architectures. - Albertpacino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nicley done
