- tribble222, on 12/01/2007, -5/+304A rather confident 007 walks into a bar and takes a seat next to a very attractive woman. He gives her a quick glance, then casually looks at his watch for a moment.
The woman notices this and asks, "Is your date running late?"
"No", he replies, "I am here alone. Q has just given me this state-of-the-art watch and I was just testing it."
The intrigued woman says, "A state-of-the-art watch? What's so special about it?"
"It uses alpha waves to telepathically talk to me," he explains.
"What's it telling you now?"
"Well, it says you're not wearing any panties..."
The woman giggles and replies, "Well it must be broken because I am wearing panties!"
007 taps, taps his watch and says "Damn thing must be an hour fast!" - rdrysdale, on 12/01/2007, -10/+146Best bond ever after Sean Connery. Happy to have him for 1, 2, 3, or 12 more!
- rideroyals, on 12/01/2007, -6/+88I love daniel craig he fits the bond roll perfectly. Please continue mr. bond
- halcyon626, on 12/01/2007, -2/+71"It's certainly not four more."
Five more? O.o - mrgulabull, on 12/01/2007, -3/+62I found my next pick up line.
- inactive, on 12/01/2007, -2/+41knickers!
- Klarth, on 12/01/2007, -5/+44Bond's a Brit, ffs. We don't say 'panties'.
- Van3ck, on 12/01/2007, -0/+30Dear God... that was a horrible typo. I did not mean "Batman Forever"... that one sucked. I Meant to say "Batman Begins".
- gidd, on 12/01/2007, -1/+27This submission is woefully inaccurate, as is the article itself.
He did NOT say he's not returning for four more.
He just said that he's not signed up to do more films, and certainly not signed up to do four more. That doesn't mean that he WON'T do four more. Just that he's not currently contracted to do so, and is freelancing it at the moment.
It also doesn't preclude him from signing a deal to do a hundred more Bond films tomorrow. - chkdg8, on 12/01/2007, -6/+29Good for him. Daniel Craig is one of the few actors to take on the character of James Bond and not allow that role to overshadow the rest of his career. Believe me when I say this but Daniel Craig will not be known specifically for playing James Bond. The only reason why Sean Connery is best known for being James Bond is because he was the very first 007. That's it. Sean went on to play so many better roles in his vast and illustrious career and Daniel Craig is playing his cards in the same smart fashion.
- Van3ck, on 12/01/2007, -0/+19Pierce did make a good Bond... unfortunately most the Bond Movies he was casted for were too damn cheesy and really hurt the character of "Bond".
Until this latest one with Daniel Craig, Bond started going the way that the Batman films were, until "Batman Forever" redeemed it. - WickedOwl, on 12/01/2007, -2/+19I agree. Brosnan was the first Bond I saw, and therefore thought he was the (recent) best, but the Craig Bond could beat the Brosnan Bond into an ungodly pulp. Now the question is - who can top Craig?
- sdyson, on 12/01/2007, -1/+17Wales is in Britain.
- EllimistX, on 12/01/2007, -1/+14Five is right out.
- schoate09, on 12/01/2007, -0/+13What are the ingredients of these bond rolls? Or maybe he fit the Bond role.
- inactive, on 12/01/2007, -1/+11Timothy Dalton is British.
- inactive, on 12/01/2007, -1/+11What, you can see the future, or something? Let's wait and see what the guy does. He's only made 1 Bond movie. When he's done 4 get back to me on the typecasting.
- badjoke, on 12/01/2007, -4/+144chan's over there. *points*
Leave. - brent218, on 12/01/2007, -0/+8as long as i dont have to see him in swimming trunks again im happy
- adikt, on 12/01/2007, -1/+9You forget that Connery is a god and normal rules do not apply to him. Craig is but a mere mortal... we'll see how he fares...
- Van3ck, on 12/01/2007, -0/+8You prefer seeing him swimming in a speedo?
- Typhoon2009, on 12/01/2007, -1/+9At the risk of losing my manliness card, I gotta say he had some insanely jacked back muscles in Casino Royale...
- coolmanmax2000, on 12/01/2007, -0/+5Opinion is always based on bias...
- tribble222, on 12/01/2007, -0/+4You think Drew Carey should play Bond? :-P
- Lynxpro, on 12/01/2007, -0/+4
But that wasn't the fault of Brosnan. Brosnan had been wanting to do *Casino Royale* ever since *GoldenEye* proved itself to be a success. He even wanted Tarantino to direct it but the stupid producers kept on saddling him with crappier films instead. TND and DAD were absolutely the worst Brosnan Bond films. At least TWINE was entertaining regardless of what people said about Denise Richards.
Truth be told, just about anyone would have been good in *Casino Royale* because it is a good story. Prior to that, *On Her Majesty's Secret Service* was considered the best Bond film ever, even though it had George Lazenby in it. Even the Roger Moore haters would have liked Moore in *Casino Royale* had it been made circa 1980 or so. - Willravel, on 12/01/2007, -0/+4The title should read: "Daniel Craig not NECESSARILY returning as James Bond in 4 more films". There's a good chance that he may.
- anjinash, on 12/01/2007, -0/+4As much as I'd love to see Craig as Bond for many years to come, it's a smart move to take it one movie at a time. Casino Royale was the best thing to happen to the franchise in decades, and if they can continue in that direction it would be great. If not, he can bail out and let the franchise go back to his cornball roots without dragging him down.
- inactive, on 12/01/2007, -0/+4... why??
- thomasprebble, on 12/01/2007, -2/+5Digging me down makes my boner harder!
- diversionmary, on 12/01/2007, -0/+3Not your type eh?
- richlizard24, on 12/01/2007, -5/+8Welsh actually.
- bpeacock22, on 12/01/2007, -0/+3The title of this Digg is misleading. In the subtext alone, Craig just didn't confirm it, saying he hasn't signed on yet. He has a "we'll see" attitude. It didn't totally discount it.
- inactive, on 12/01/2007, -0/+3I loved the first hour of "Casino". The second hour dragged on a bit. Hours three through nine were downright painful. I have no idea why they felt the need to shoe-horn in an entirely different (and boring) storyline after the main plot had concluded.
- electricmba, on 12/01/2007, -0/+3Totally inaccurate title. Welcome to Hollywood people - actors do this all the time to not only create buzz for the next film, but to hopefully pressure and create public awareness on the contracting phase for his next set of films. Craig is smart, and wants to maximize his bucks if he's going to lock in. Nothing to see here, move along.
- cvindustries, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2No, he thinks John O' Hurley should have been the Price is Right host, who also looks like an aging bond.
- Katana314, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2Well I can tell you one thing. The One-Liner dressing that Pierce Brosnan put on them made them taste awful.
NOW LET THE METAPHOR DIE. - spudnic, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2Craig was more true to what Bond was like in the books, Brosnan played it way too cheesy for me, but I guess that's the script more than him
- Juntistik, on 12/01/2007, -2/+4yeah I've been noticing alot of unfunny/annoying 4chan memes making its way onto digg comments... annoys the hell out of me.
- Blackbow, on 12/01/2007, -2/+4I have to say I was blown away by Craig's performance in the last Bond movie. I think he is the best Bond yet.
- thebigmatay, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2By he, you mean Connery, right?
/ducks - mr5150, on 12/01/2007, -1/+3Craig is a smart cookie, he'll keep playing bond until the cards turn against him and then walk away proud and not really having done damage to his future movie prospects. I like this style of self management putting the actor in charge of his destiny instead of a contract owned by a studio.
Kudos to his smarts. - Scoresheet, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2Yeh lets hype it...over a year before its released...with a small story about his contract length....
I know I'm sold. - techlinks, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2Umm...it's so he can demand more money for the next films, because they'll want him so bad.
- daliminator, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2...Conan O'Brien as Bond?!!
Sorry, but I can't imagine a lanky, 6'4" redhead Bond with a pompadour...it's just too weird. I'd expect him to crack jokes and drink his martinis out of those massive glasses every two minutes. - Snuff99, on 12/01/2007, -0/+1That's awesome.
- maexus, on 12/01/2007, -0/+1True but playing Bond isn't his first movie roll.
- SQLDigger, on 12/01/2007, -1/+2I sure would like to see him getting his nuts hammered again.
- SQLDigger, on 12/01/2007, -0/+1why, indeed.
- 1ofMany, on 12/01/2007, -4/+5I thought the Craig turned in a great performance, especially in light of all the controversy that surrounded his taking on the role of 007. The story, however, bored me to tears. I know it's not the popular consensus but that's how I felt.
But then again, I actually liked Timothy Dalton as Bond as well. Shows you what I 'know'. :-)
Now click on the red button and read the next comment. - spectre_25gt, on 12/02/2007, -0/+1Dalton just gets a bad rap because the movies he was in were too dark for when they were made.
