- seanmx, on 06/11/2008, -2/+47*Spoiler* when Edward Norton gets angry in the movie, he turns into the hulk!
- GlennRubenstein, on 06/11/2008, -2/+39For all we know, the Captain America cameo may very well end up being an added surprise after The Incredible Hulk's end credits. Marvel held Nick Fury's appearance from advance Iron Man screenings so the surprise of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury wouldn't be ruined before the film's release. But chances are, any Captain America cameo will only be a minor one (like the scenario described in the linked story, which may very well be just a passing shot of Captain America on ice in his state of suspended animation). After all, Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger movie isn't set for release until 2011 and no casting has been announced as of yet. Plus, word has it that the Captain America movie will take place during WWII with a modern day Avengers team-up movie to follow the same summer that brings together Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and other heroes of the Marvel Universe. Therefore, it would make sense the plot of the Avengers movie would involve the recovery and thawing out of Captain America from the frozen state he ends up in at the end of WWII. - Glenn Rubenstein
- Owned1Up, on 06/11/2008, -3/+29IRON MAN!, I am Nick Fury, you must help me...get the mother ***** snakes, off the mother ***** plane.
- cjacks9, on 06/11/2008, -3/+2270 minutes cut from the movie? Well, I guess it'll help sell dvds. Shame on the director for trying to get more folks in the theaters for a cameo he knew wouldn't be there (if it's true).
- drewdown112, on 06/11/2008, -1/+15Definitely looks better than the previous Hulk movie
- PowerLlama, on 06/11/2008, -1/+14How the hell do you cut 70 minutes out of an action movie? Was the movie originally 3 hours long? This rumor doesn't make any sense to me.
- MrHairy2005, on 06/11/2008, -0/+12This looks so good, I love Edward Norton!
- Kallius, on 06/11/2008, -4/+16And when the Hulk gets mad, he turns into Chuck Norris!
- JeyNyce, on 06/11/2008, -0/+11My favorite part:
"So to sum up: No Captain America in The Incredible Hulk, but it’s completely safe to take your kids to see a movie about a guy who gets mad, turns green, and beats the ***** out of anyone and everything around him. Marvel is all about family entertainment. " - Xihix, on 06/11/2008, -0/+11No... NO! That Arctic scene sounds too ***** awesome to be cut. Seriously, if it's true, I am seriously pissed at Marvel.
- solid12345, on 06/11/2008, -0/+11"DESCRIBE WHAT BRUCE BANNER LOOKS LIKE!"
Wha--wha?"
"Say what again. SAY WHAT AGAIN. I dare you, I double dare you, *****. Say what one more goddamn time! "
H-He's green!
"GO ON"
He's muscular!"
"DOES HE LOOK LIKE A BITCH?!"
nooo!
T"HEN WHY YOU TRY TO ***** HIM LIKE A BITCH BRETT?" - Scrappy1850, on 06/11/2008, -1/+9no need to sign your comments, Glenn. your name is automatically attached.
- psbpv3o, on 06/11/2008, -0/+8It's not a continuation. They're completely ignoring the Ang Lee/Bana Hulk.
- louiebaur, on 06/11/2008, -4/+11Edward Norton looks like a good person for this roll
- crichton101, on 06/11/2008, -1/+8Shame on the director? Who says he knew it wouldn't be there when he made the comments? That actually sounds a bit more like a studio decision and if the director wants to keep control of his movie his choice is pretty much only to do what his bosses tell him. He isn't a Spielberg or a Cameron or a Lucas, he can't just do what he wants. He had been in agreement with Norton in previous stories about wanting a longer cut, and a more introspective movie then just pure action. So it's the pretty much the studio to blame for things getting cut.
- MisterRik, on 06/11/2008, -1/+8He even looks good for the role...
- 321george, on 06/11/2008, -0/+7That's not hard
- freddoo, on 06/11/2008, -0/+6Ed Norton and Tim Roth can't go wrong
- inactive, on 06/11/2008, -0/+5What's the story with this movie again? I haven't been keeping up with it, sorry to say. What's the difference between this one and the flick with Eric Bana?
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 06/11/2008, -0/+5"Why are you yelling?"
"I'm Samuel L. Jackson." - tehpopa, on 06/11/2008, -0/+4Incorrect. When they were going over it at the con in San Diego last year, and in the press since, they stated quite clearly, that this has nothing to do with the previous incarnation. They even went so far to say that their movie's Hulk only has one color, and doesn't change sizes. (In reference to the first where his skin color changed, and how he kept getting bigger)
- walastika, on 06/11/2008, -4/+8I make sure to quote my own comments too. - walastika
- inactive, on 06/11/2008, -0/+3When Robert Downey jr is trying to get out of the suit for the first time, and Paltrow walks in on him. When she comes around the front, there is a shot from behind her. You can see Cap America's shield on the table behind Iron Man.
- infinitus64, on 06/11/2008, -1/+4have you seen him in this roll?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU - chocula78, on 06/11/2008, -0/+3I have heard Matthew Mcaunaghey (sp?) attached as Captain America. Terrible choice because he is too much of a pompous frat boy. My vote goes to Matt Damon. We know he can kick ass (Jason Bourne). Although, if Jason Statham could pull off an American accent he would be my hands down favorite - despite the irony of him being Bri-ish and all.
- Lucifugerising, on 06/11/2008, -0/+3You hit the nail on the head. It was roughly 3hrs long due to Nortons screenplay and what have you. Yet they had to cut it down cause honestly even if was fantastic the general public tend to skip movies that pass the 2 hr 30 min mark.
- KyjL, on 06/11/2008, -1/+4Captain America's shield was in Iron Man? At what point? I saw Iron Man twice and I would pick something like that out pretty fast.
- inactive, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2are you retarded ? .......A) Cap was in WW2 and in the comics was found frozen brought back into the 60 's !!
Of course they can't use that time line !! it's 2008 !
But what the can do and will do ! Is have Cap in ww2 in the cap movie ! He freezes and reappears in 09 or 2010 whatever the year the film is made ! .It could be possible to show up in Hulk ! It woudl not hurt or confuse time lines !
Your theory on it being a period movie is only a guess and mostly likely will only be a 25 min blip or less explaining and showing he was in WW2
The Avengers were a team long before Cap arrived on the scene - besides The Marvel Movies can and will create their own timeliness out side of the comics - it mostly as of recent looks to be taking from the Ultimates Story lines runs !
So just chill - inactive, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2You suck.
- Aokami, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2eh.. or just pointing out a guy named Steve Rogers. The costume isn't necessarily surgically attached. Granted I also have taken the appearance of ice cubes as a Captain America nod, but I will fully admit I have Cap Fever. Doubly so if it's Tamoh Penikett.
- Lucifugerising, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2When Tony's armor is being disassembled while he's in it. Him and Paltrow are both on screen when you see it. It's a tad bit behind him on his workbench.
- Lucifugerising, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2A few yesr ago Marvel released a mini series called Truth. Which revealed teh first super soldier experiments were done on African Americans. One of those men survived and became the first cap but was kept secret. It's a pretty good story, the mans great grandson is in Young Avengers.
- mjsamps, on 06/11/2008, -1/+3If there was a formal Cap Am cameo wouldn't word have leaked by now on who was playing him? The Sam Jackson thing leaked almost right away from the HULK set.
- CircleFusion, on 06/11/2008, -0/+2Here is a screen cap...
http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/05/09/captain-ame ...
and then a post showing that the shield was planted into the scene.
http://toysrevil.blogspot.com/2008/05/captain-amer ... - Kenzan, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Why a Captain America?
That guy hasn't been popular since........
geeze..was he ever popular? - djAnakin, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1It's just a quick cameo and it's at the end of the movie.
- inactive, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Has experience with multiple dissociated personalities.
- CircleFusion, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1There is a Captain Britain in the marvel universe.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Britain - inactive, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Never mind the "British" thing, Captain America IS NOT BALD.
- djAnakin, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Wow.
- RetlawST, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1I was reluctant about Ant-Man too...but I heard rumors of Simon Pegg playing our favorite failure and really liked the idea.
- infinitus64, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1AMERICA!!!! F**K YEAH????????????
- Lucifugerising, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Youre being forced to watch them against your own will?
The Fiends!!!! - RicDesan, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1RED FLAG: Kids movie? Everyone is all agog about Norton but they better hope Leterrier's rendition of the Hulk measures up to what Ang Lee achieved! If this comes off as some dressed up Pixar cartoon you kiss goodbye any hopes of an extended successful franchise. Make no mistakes TV Hulk was nothing like it was in print.
- infinitus64, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Not chronologically and the character who "killed" him was told that he was not dead being revived by top scientists. Captain America is also a position not one man rumored to be taken over by the winter soldier.
- Lucifugerising, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1No need to worry the MM rumor was killed a few weeks ago.
- djAnakin, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1If you read more into it he [director] said Cap was in a scene in the Arctic where BB contemplates suicide [I believe]. This was cut from the movie due to content. It's also rumored that it was cut from press screenings but will be added before or after the beginning or end credits.
There are still 4 Cap references in the movie. -
