Transformer 2 should have been a direct to video title IMHO.

I think that you forgot the first if you are favorably comparing the 2nd to it. Even GI Joe is better than Transformer 2. But the fact is, if you liked the first one, you'll like the second. If you don't, then you should probably go watch the first one again and realize just how many cheesy jokes and one-liners there were. People wanted more robot action, so that's what they got.
