- Frankttank, on 06/05/2009, -0/+28How many of you saw the pic of the transformer USB thumb drive and instantly googled to find one?
- bellisimo, on 06/05/2009, -0/+27i hate the fact that the new versions look like they've survived the attack of Shredder...
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -1/+27It doesn't matter. The Transformers are so overly-detailed, the action scenes so fast and blurry that you can't tell them apart, anyway.
- OLTP, on 06/05/2009, -0/+15I can't figure out if I should digg for Starscream or bury because they look like magnets with iron filings stuck to them.
- Mykal73, on 06/05/2009, -0/+15and then preordered it...
- ravishingluke, on 06/05/2009, -0/+13I hope the next movie includes the transformers that turn into dinosaurs. T-Rex wasn't very smart, but he was a fricken T-rex.

This has been done. The last time I saw it happen it was a trilogy about a group of very short men trying to toss a gold ring into a volcano. - RealmDown, on 06/05/2009, -0/+12Not as well as Megan Fox.
- morningmatters, on 06/05/2009, -0/+11I hope in the next movie Unicron eats earth.

Not to defend Michael Bay (he's an ass) but catering to the fans is a surefire way to have a failure on your hands. - A1SURF, on 06/05/2009, -0/+5That brought back some memories..
- unfilterthought, on 06/05/2009, -1/+6What the hell are you talking about?
Plenty of Transformers have had their names used as BOTH decepticon or autobot throughout the multiple iterations of Transformers.
Get your head out of G1. G1 is NOT the best Transformers series. It was simply the FIRST.
Laserbeak for example is an autobot in later transformers series but a decepticon in G1.
Hell theres a "GOOD" version of Soundwave. - strad2, on 06/05/2009, -0/+5Yes because Spielberg has no reason to hype up a crappy film - he's only an executive producer...
- richal257, on 06/05/2009, -0/+5half of these new transformers... I have no idea what I'm looking at. what happened to the clean, iconic design of the originals? I hope they all eat sand and die.
- lichnor, on 06/05/2009, -0/+4Is it just me or did Hollywood do to Devastator what they did to Godzilla (1998)?
- jc7012, on 06/05/2009, -0/+4I really hope the second movie is better than the first. I mean.. it's robots fighting robots. How do you mess that up?
- danwallace, on 06/05/2009, -0/+4Why do I care what Spielberg has to say? I saw something the other day where he was backing some game and people were saying "dude, if Spielberg says so..." What exactly has Spielberg done in the last decade that I should care about? The guy consistently hires Tom Hanks and ***** Tom Cruise. Come on.
- Pxtl, on 06/05/2009, -1/+5Michael Bay, congratulations for managing to make a movie that is somehow less mature than the late-'80s children's cartoon show it was based on.
I look forwards to having the obligatory fat black dude walk on for comic relief, more jokes involving cellphone tech-support, and Jar Jar Frenzy.
Seriously, re-watch the original animated movie and tell me that Bay did better. - astrotrain, on 06/05/2009, -2/+6Michael Bay just keeps ripping up the original TF universe one movie at a time. He screwed over what he now calls "Devistator", gave the Autobots Decepticon names and vice versa, and then screwed around with their names as well. For ONCE I would like to see a director take time and get in depth with the origins and what the fans want to see and expect, not something pulled out of their ass and filming that without getting some fan input.
Okay so he didn't want the "box" versions, but at least keep the names strait for once thing, and their respectful sides. - elo91, on 06/05/2009, -0/+4http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367882/
Undeniable proof that Spielberg's opinion no longer matters. - danwallace, on 06/05/2009, -1/+4and then took an English lesson to learn the proper usage of "your"...
- UselessTrivia, on 06/05/2009, -1/+4Why all the Shia hate? Am I the only one who actually likes him? I thought he was a great fit for that character. It actually made me not mind as much that the humans got more screen time than the robots.
Unlike Anthony Anderson, who is given a meaningless comic relief part as the stereotypical funny black guy. Shia's part made sense. The female cryptologist's part made sense. Megan Fox mad sense...but why halfway through the movie did we need to introduce a new character for no other reason than to decrypt a signal? Could the hot australian chick not have just done that herself?
But the reason is pretty clearly that they were padding the script so that they could keep the expensive-to-animate-and-render robots off the screen as much as possible.
I have hopes for the sequel because it has a much bigger budget, which means more robots and more screen time for them, but unfortunately instead of using the robots as characters I fear the money will go into more explosions and action sequences. That's cool and all, but why not some dialog every now and then? - smack1700, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3Me Grimlock love smash decepticons!!
- ShingoEX, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3You really aren't familiar with the Transformers series. It's been consistently re-invented since Generation 1. "Robots in Disguise", the AEC Trilogy, and Animated were all set in their own continuity, but all of the sudden , *Bay* is the only one messing with the timeline?
Please, do some research... - ontariontario, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3and then had a romantic fling with your English teacher Ms. Schweitzer...
- bixby1, on 06/05/2009, -1/+4agree and disagree. the descriptions are better but there aren't any photos.
- mooshcala, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2I don't know why you're getting dugg down, personally I agree with you. There is no integrity to the character designs. It's as though the people making the movies brought them back because all of the kids who were born in the 80's and watched Transformers the cartoon show are now late 20's/early 30's and would pay big bucks to see it made into a movie - but then they designed the characters to appeal to dumbass kids who were born in the 90's and don't know jack ***** or care about the original content. Rancid sour cheese balls indeed.
- kirakun, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2They could've considered Galvatron's canon form too. That looks mad deadly.
- Karstark, on 06/05/2009, -4/+6Wikipedia does a better job, this is kinda poor.
- lolipop99, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2"NOOOO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO" and end scene!

- thisismydigg, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2usb ravage, badass!
- kirakun, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2A comment like that requires hard evidence.
- UselessTrivia, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2This one should be better as far as telling the robots apart. There's a lot more size difference between robots now, and they seem to be much more colorful now, especially the constructicons.
- ShingoEX, on 06/05/2009, -1/+2Also, without fan input, much of the first movie would be different. Peter Cullen reprising his role as Optimus Prime was a DIRECT result of fan input. Once again, do some research before you start spouting nonsense.
- ontariontario, on 06/05/2009, -1/+2...of 2007?
- Philbert, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I'm not sure why, but I don't recognize the names "The Fallen" or "Sideways". Are they from a later series or something? I stopped watching when Gen1 ended, the other series' since then looked lame.
- Darksoul, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1I love how you group all of us Transformer fan's into one group not all of us think the movie sucked. I have a brain and know the movies would be different, the fact that it was made in 86 like you said an was created originally to sell toys should of told everybody that some ***** would change. People really need to get over it.
- Darksoul, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1I herby volunteer to obtain that evidence.
