If you're looking for some deep, brilliant cinematic masterpiece, this movie is NOT for you.
If you're looking for cheesy nostalgia, humor, mindless action, over the top explosions, and random scenes that are there only to show off Megan Fox's body, then this will be a great film.
The first TF movie was way better than a lot of people expected it to be. And those of us who went in the theater knowing what to expect had a great time.

Granted the movie was good with its battles and all that. but it also was a let down...

- AYork, on 06/10/2008, -0/+3Isn't Unicron supposed to get blown up? They kill him off in some epic Autobot-Decepticon alliance, killing Megatron in the process. Then his (Unicron's) parts drift into some nebula somewhere and winds up making Terrorcons who raid Earth and steal all the energon. He winds up bringing Megatron back, hilarity ensues, etc.
DISCLAIMER: My son is really into Transformers. He got a book at the library about the Autobots fighting the Terrorcons. I've read it to him 1,573 times since last Friday. - Double0Doug, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2Agreed, when I first saw the movie, I couldn’t even recognize which Autobot was which with the exception of Prime and Bumble Bee. The others were rather unremarkable from a character standpoint.

Yeah, I agree, thats what happens in the old lore, but as we can see by bumblebee having at first no voice, then sounding like Mr. ***** Belevedere, Bay's not sticking to lore.

Frank Welker -who did Megatron for the whole entire series did the voice for Galvatron when Megatron was clanged in form after the animated series picked up after the animated film !
The same Frank Welker who is the voice of SOUND WAVE!!
