- h4mx0r, on 01/26/2008, -1/+58Oh man, remember the dismembered cyborg dolls in the first movie? Those creeped the ***** outta me when I was really young :(
Last thing I need is to see them again in 3D :( - silentcollision, on 01/26/2008, -0/+53Talk about setting the benchmark for animation. 13 years on, it still looks incredible.
- aussieNickuss, on 01/26/2008, -0/+48Pixar do a pretty good job with each film they produce. Ratatouille and Nemo are two recent films that are awesome.
- rayzha, on 01/26/2008, -4/+42Ah. I miss those movies. Seems like it's getting harder and harder for them to produce movies of that caliber.
- cowsgonemadd3, on 01/26/2008, -4/+37What a awesome couple of films those are!

- matt487, on 01/26/2008, -1/+30I love those movies so much.
"You are a sad, strange little man and you have my pity." - bobartig, on 01/26/2008, -1/+25I thought Ratatouille was right up there as a fantastic story, and artfully crafted. Heh, my spell checker wants to replace Ratatouille with Bouillabaisse!
- counterplex, on 01/26/2008, -0/+18We toys are watching eeeeeverything... so play nice!
- 8ight, on 01/26/2008, -1/+18My almost 2 year old son loves Pixar movies. In fact he's on my lap watching Monsters on my 2nd monitor right now. Although the dates seem far off in the future, they're perfect for him. He'll be at just the right age to be blown away. His first theatre movie is going to be WALL.E. He loves these things... and so do I.
Great news! - mattyoi, on 01/26/2008, -0/+16Jurassic Park... in ........ 3D. I'm droooooolling at the thought
- spidoman, on 01/26/2008, -1/+17If it continues, they'll hire scientists to make movies in 4D.
- Smaulz, on 01/26/2008, -0/+15Crap, thanks for making me feel old. The damn movie hasn't been out THAT damn long fer pete's sake.
- Scopitone, on 01/26/2008, -1/+16Nice. Can I get Toy Story and The Incredibles on Blu Ray now, please?
- xXMetalJesusXx, on 01/26/2008, -0/+15This is SICK!
Toy Story was one of my favorite movies as a kid...now all they need to do is re-release Jurassic Park in 3D and I can die a happy man. - spidoman, on 01/26/2008, -0/+13It used to be, but it's improved vastly over the past few years.
- Sheff, on 01/26/2008, -1/+14Don't worry, someday you'll meet someone and maybe you'll have kids too.
- Dan11023, on 01/26/2008, -0/+12Your mother sucks.
- dafragsta, on 01/26/2008, -0/+12I don't understand why you would say that, or why you are being dugg up. CGI movies have displaced the cel animated movie almost completely. Can you think of the last time Disney made an animated feature length movie? We see a new Pixar movie almost every year, they are pretty high quality. Not to mention the stuff Dreamworks has done with Shrek and other one-offs like Antz. I know I'm forgetting a lot too.
- chugger1992, on 01/26/2008, -0/+11I bet it would be fun to see how fast the rendering goes on today's computers compared to 13 years ago.
- ryan83189, on 01/26/2008, -3/+14impossible. That would require 2 cameras at the time of filming.
- solidus636, on 01/26/2008, -0/+11No, 3-D...
as in... Three Dimensional... - pfranz, on 01/26/2008, -0/+9Nighmare Before Christmas was converted to 3d. So were portions of Superman, 5th Harry Potter (both theatrically released), and Star Wars (seen at trade shows).
- bladebronson, on 01/26/2008, -0/+9I saw Nightmare Before Christmas which was also Disney Digital 3D. It was amazing. Traditionally, 3D movies must be filmed from two viewpoints. I don't know how they were able to add the depth into Nightmare, but I'm hoping that Toy Story can simply be re-rendered from a secondary angle. It should be pretty amazing.
- mattcoady, on 01/26/2008, -0/+9Not sure of your definition of 4D.... although the back to the future ride did take me to the prehistoric age.
- spidoman, on 01/26/2008, -0/+9You know what?
You suck! - volacide, on 01/26/2008, -0/+8I sure hope so! Ratatouille and Cars on Blu-Ray look ***** stunning. Probably the best HD movies I've yet seen. Can't wait for Finding Nemo later on this year and I desperately want The Incredibles too.
I mean how can you not like Pixar. - stackered, on 01/26/2008, -0/+8This is one part of my childhood I would actually like to relive.
- rz8472, on 01/26/2008, -0/+8Cue Randy Newman.

- woflox, on 01/26/2008, -0/+7Reach for the skyyyy.
- camintmier, on 01/26/2008, -0/+7Or start cloning yourself. Whichever comes first.
- pfranz, on 01/26/2008, -0/+7I agree for 3d conversions, but think 3d filmmaking is yet to be tested. In the 50's, full support for 3d only lasted about 18months... and support has been minimal since then. I feel these conversions are just like colorizing black and white film and I'm very suprised Pixar is doing this (although, Lassiter's dubs of Miyazaki films are superb... and they do pay special attention to pan&scan conversions of their films).
Yes, the recent support for 3d is to get more people in theaters. So was surround sound and color films. Both of which were used in a very tacky way for the first few films. Unfortunately, bad 3d can make you physically ill a lot easier than bad color or sound. I think their main goal is to get theaters to adopt new digital projection systems (that will make monoscopic and stereoscopic films look good) and get rid of the old, crappy film projectors many theaters have used for too many years. This could also be motivation to adopt projectors that support digital delivery of films. - troyfoley, on 01/26/2008, -0/+6Mickey's Philharmagic FTW.
- pfranz, on 01/26/2008, -0/+6A lot of the recent 3d filmsy have been converted to 3d after shooting (I heard King Kong, Superman, Harry Potter). I also heard all of the Star Wars movies have been converted and supposed to be released. Nightmare was done this way. It came out really well... possibly because it was a stop motion film (no motion blur). I've seen others that didnt come out so well. Sounds like PIxar is pulling out the original assets and rerendering it (what most all cg films do for 3d)...which sounds like a huge undertaking for such an old film and pipeline.
- zzz@tkz, on 01/26/2008, -1/+7Pixar is an amazing company, most of their films are very high in quality. I was worried when Disney bought them out, but they let them stay pretty much the same, which is great. That new movie with the robot looks awesome :P (but if you haven't noticed, I'm a sucker for Pixar).
- RiMac, on 01/26/2008, -1/+7Fantastic. My first and second favorite movies of all time.
- anotherjeff, on 01/26/2008, -0/+6wtf?
- jackcrack7, on 01/26/2008, -0/+5Have you ever rendered anything before? It will be much more than a days labor.
- Dylson, on 01/26/2008, -0/+5THERES A SNAKE IN MY BOOT!!!
- markthegoth, on 01/26/2008, -6/+11HELL YEAH!!!!

- Daniel591992, on 01/26/2008, -0/+5He sucks his mother?
- mattcoady, on 01/26/2008, -0/+4Then clearly we've entered the ninth dimension.
- Orkahm52, on 01/26/2008, -0/+4Don't worry the frames are white these days.
