Then it gets real crappy - terajoule, on 06/05/2008, -1/+9They're driving a 1984... Sheepdog.
- Alphateam, on 06/05/2008, -0/+6What about Corbin Dallas' taxi from the 5th Element?
Also I think Cheech's car was more memorable than the pot van. I mean come on it had dingo balls. - jefrim, on 06/05/2008, -2/+8DeLorean FTW!
- FyreGoddess, on 06/04/2008, -1/+6I was actually raised in a VW bus. I have quite a few memories of sitting in the bus while my parents found people to help push-start it.
Heh. - AmericanGunner, on 06/05/2008, -2/+6Great Scott!
- Haoie, on 06/05/2008, -3/+7Too bad Knight Rider isn't a movie [yet], am I right?
- mr5150, on 06/05/2008, -0/+3The car used in Mad Max was never an American car. It was designed and built in Australia for the Austrlian motorist in mind and sported either a 302 Cubic Inch Windsor (local V8) or a 351 Cube Cleveland (imported from the USA).

I am a huge fan of The Mad Max series 1 & 2 as 3 was just junk. - Gregsaw, on 06/05/2008, -0/+3buried for 11 pages
- deheler, on 06/05/2008, -0/+3What at the KITT car from Knight Rider?
- spinninnzen, on 06/05/2008, -1/+3its listed in honorable mention
- Evocati, on 06/05/2008, -0/+2The Challenger should be higher. But at least it was included.
- antdude, on 06/05/2008, -0/+2And no single print page. :(
- greenvortex, on 06/05/2008, -0/+2Limiting it to movies eliminates some iconic vehicles. Partridge Family bus? Scooby Doo's Mysterymobile van? (Hey, that was in a movie.) Green Hornet's Black Beauty? Rockford's Camaro? And, yeah, KITT. As a collector of movie/TV car replicas, I'd put the Mach 5 at #1 and the 60's Batmobile at #2, the DeLorean #3 and Bond's underwater Lotus at #4. Obviously, for me, it is the gadgets that make a car craveable.
- zenoz, on 06/05/2008, -2/+4So many pages... *cry*
- inactive, on 06/05/2008, -0/+2What about the modified Winnebago Chieftain of Spaceballs notoriety? Maybe it's not technically a "car", per se, but it certainly made an impression on me (enough to remember it more than the top 40-50 of this list.
- mr5150, on 06/05/2008, -0/+2Dugg it for the 1.21 Gigawatt Time leaping DeLorean....Dugg!
- djstan627, on 06/05/2008, -0/+2Dugg only for the Mach 5 and the De Lorean. They deserve such high rankings on that list.
- anogenic, on 06/05/2008, -0/+2The dude's car should be up there in the top 20
- Thundercat1971, on 06/05/2008, -0/+2While I can understand why it wasn't in the list since its an older movie, I would have REALLY liked to see Professor Fate's "Hannibal Twin 8" car from The Great Race.
EDIT: just noticed.... at least it got an honorable mention - Rhendal, on 06/05/2008, -1/+2They named the list Total Recall and didn't include the Johnny Cab?
- verkon, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1You are so right, my friend.
- curseoflou, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1damn-it! why didn't i read the comments first?!? could have saved countless minutes.
- chicagodj, on 06/05/2008, -2/+3This list is broken with the Bluesmobile only at 11
- SleighBoy, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Interesting info on the Ferrari used in Ferris Bueller's Day Off
http://www.80s.com/saveferris/cast/250gt.html - ThaDRD, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Where is the futuristic Lexus from Minority Report or the Plymouth Valiant and grimy Peterbilt 281 from Duel?
- inactive, on 06/05/2008, -1/+2No Repo Man?
- ezikiel2517, on 06/05/2008, -1/+2Dug for the Dudes car.
"Is this your homework Larry!" - astrotrain, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Dugg for "The Car" the classic forgotten B movie that has that hanting air horn before it strikes!
Now.. they forgot to mention the wonderful load of cars from Death Race 2000, another forgotten classic B movie (that..*ugh* they are planning to remake). - AmericanGunner, on 06/05/2008, -4/+5Shaggin Wagon should be MUCH higher. Dumb and Dumber is a classic.
- RonniSR, on 06/05/2008, -1/+2My favorite is with no doubt The Van.
"Mostly Maui Waui man, but it's got some Labrador in it." - ratsg, on 06/06/2008, -0/+1Wrong, there was a Knight Rider 2000 movie. I believe that large parts of the movie were shot on the San Antinio river walk. Kitt was a Pontiac Banshee concept car.
- BryGy, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Its nice they added the Pursuit ("Ford Falcon") vehicle from Mad Max. But the customized version from Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior was much more memorable of a car.
- Kingal, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1That's what I was expecting.
- mikephimikephi, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1i suggest the honda that bruce willis crashes in Pulp Fiction
'what happened to my honda?' - Pahtcub, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1The speed racer car is in front of Camron's Dad's 1961 Ferrari GT california? I call shenanigans.
- noots, on 06/05/2008, -1/+2i didn't really like gone in sixty seconds (cage), but eleanor is ***** awesome, one of the greatest looking cars ever imo, and a testiment that although 99% of car modifications suck balls, there are exceptions to the rule.
- Bowd99, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1You mean we're smoking dog ***** man?
- bytor4232, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Dude, great list! Well thought out, and the top picks are PERFECT. Good job RT
- LLLSecretChimp, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1It would've been hard to put the top 50 cars in a shorter list without leaving some out.
- MrFurious2k, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Great list and some good commentary.
- LLLSecretChimp, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1They should've included Sam Raimi's Oldsmobile Delta Royale. He's put it in all of his movies except for "The Quick and the Dead".
- jackcrack7, on 06/05/2008, -1/+1They made a Knight Rider movie for TV but they didn't use the original car. Instead they used a new Mustang.
- louiebaur, on 06/04/2008, -4/+4My mom had a 1973 Volkswagen Bus like in Little Miss Sunshine sure could carry allot of people but I think top speed was 60 on the freeway
- bagboyrebel, on 06/05/2008, -2/+2That list could have been much shorter.
- Barbrady, on 06/05/2008, -1/+1This list is a crock of *****! Where the hell is Project X, the '57 Chevy that was in Hollywood Knights? It's only the most famous project car ever and has appeared in so many hot rod magazine articles over the years that it's insane. If there was ever a car that should be on the list Project X would be it!
Just watch this thing launch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69ZEhh6L7DQ

http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/Racing/projectx. ... - Myztry, on 06/05/2008, -1/+1Knight Rider wasn't a movie. But then either was The Dukes of Hazard originally.
Give it time. Eventually everything gets recycled... - justconnor, on 06/05/2008, -3/+3Eleanor and the Vanishing Point Challenger at the back? wtf?
