- ViRaZ, on 02/29/2008, -0/+49Should have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in there.
- demonotaku, on 02/29/2008, -3/+32It's a pretty good list. Though he said it was Jason Lee who died during the filming of the Crow. It was actually Brandon Lee who died. Jason Lee is doing "My Name is Earl."
- spammishking, on 02/29/2008, -4/+27The shadow? how did that get in there???
- ra3ndy, on 02/29/2008, -1/+17What, no Tank Girl? TMNT 1,2 & 3 ?(Turtles in Time ruled! *barf for lying*) Men In Black? (tho by the 4th draft, it was similar in name only, but it WAS based on a comic miniseries)
- OSUTodd23, on 02/29/2008, -0/+13Never any love for The Rocketeer.
- RSTaichi, on 02/29/2008, -1/+11Dugg for a nice list, but, dude, you need some help with the title.
- inactive, on 02/29/2008, -6/+16none of those movie even slightly funny. bury inaccurate.
- DeviantDragon, on 02/29/2008, -0/+10Dude, that guy doesn't know about The Mask comic books if he thinks the movie was true to the comic book story. They changed the story a lot, made it more family friendly, and took out the gratuitous violence and killing.
- guess88, on 02/29/2008, -1/+10Why does everyone forget Conan the Barbarian was a comic?
- MillionsLivio, on 02/29/2008, -0/+9Mask of the Phantasm is such an underrated movie, glad to see it finally gets some of the praise it deserves
- AsSubtleAsABrik, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8thank god that little thumbs down button makes comments disappear.
- TheRooper, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8No Rocketeer?
- CleverGecko, on 02/29/2008, -0/+7"I'm can make myself invisible... but only when no one's watching."
- demonotaku, on 02/29/2008, -1/+8I actually really enjoyed the first Blade. The other two were terrible. Definitely replace "The Shadow" though. Or "Mystery Men."
- coheedcollapse, on 02/29/2008, -0/+7I was so hot for Cameron Diaz when I was a kid.
- c0baltfish, on 02/29/2008, -2/+8They just had to add Mystery Men and make the title invalid.
- Zoctogon, on 02/29/2008, -0/+6The boom is because the rights and certain legal issues with Marvel has only become untangled recently, finally allowing for films to be made of their comics. Notice how most of the movies on that list were DC Comics but none were Marvel?
- SmegFirk, on 02/29/2008, -0/+6You can't talk about how much you loved The Crow and then mention how sad it was when "Jason Lee" died... idiot.
- tyler0is0sexy, on 02/29/2008, -3/+9Mystery Men > Superhero Movie
- haydesigner, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5What evil lurks in mens' hearts? The Baldwin brothers substance abuse clinic knows!
- ablacksunrise, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5Let me just apply some marketing research.... move this...and... ok here we go...
Top 10 Best Comic Movies Ever! (MUST SEE!) [Pics] - AsSubtleAsABrik, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5First was awesome. Second had Vanilla Ice so credit there. Third went back in time.. no excuse for that.
- mlvassallo, on 02/29/2008, -1/+5Mask of the Phantasm needs to be higher on the list.
- blacksteve0, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4Although I didn't click the link I'm more than willing to bet there is a RickRoll behind that.
- Mootabolife, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4The Phantom!
- misterparry, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4WTF?! No TMNT? Buried for the blatant insult to the turtles
- iMick, on 02/29/2008, -1/+4The Shadow rocked! Baldwin brothers FTW!!!! :P
- Chancellor740, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3The only retrojunk I can see is their server.
- ray023, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3Description: TITLE SAYS IT ALL
- inactive, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3Dugg for Blade.
- wallcloud111, on 02/29/2008, -2/+5BATMAN & BATMAN RETURNS are the best superhero movies i think (aside from X1 & X2). It's okay to stray really far from the comics if it works!!
- inactive, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3How the hell did the mask get there. It did not justice to Mask the Comic book character. The original Mask mas a psychopathic homicidal maniac.
- greenriver572, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3The author says Jason Lee died during the production of the crow. Evidently their comic book collecting days have intertwined with the movie Mallrats, because "the crow" himself was played by BRANDON Lee.
- passedoutghost, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3I see you live up to your name.
- cubbiesx, on 02/29/2008, -1/+3man that was good at first then really, really fell apart at the end.
- matt850, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2While the last few entries on the list were pointless, I'll digg it for Mask of the Phantasm; best Batman movie before Begins. When you have a great story and script it doesn't matter if it is live action or not.
- passedoutghost, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2No. For one thing he doesn't look like an orange oompa loompa. There's a height requirement.
- goreyend, on 02/29/2008, -2/+4yeah i would have replaced spawn with the shadow or blade
- Senshi, on 02/29/2008, -7/+9What about Spawn?
- passedoutghost, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2I loved that movie, despite how corny it was. It's too bad that they've stopped airing it. Is there a copy on ebay or amazon.com?
- meed, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2wtf, two of my favorite comic book movies were snubbed. Captian America 1990 and The Punisher 1989. DIck Tracey and the Shadow? give me a f'ing break, those were radio shows later adapted to comic books. If your going to include stuff that didn't originate in a comic book, then you must include Transformers: The Movie 1986 and G.I. Joe: the movie 1987 too.
- gypsi, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2batman returns was great, but it has to be superman 2
- Konrad9, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2I fell asleep watching tomb raider.
- solid12345, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Buried for not including the greatest adaptation of a comic book of all time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMcCt2Ag4Sg - Gisgis, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1I'm glad to see someone finally notices the shadow as one of Alec Baldwins best works
yea.... - solid12345, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1The Punisher with Dolph was the *****, him dropping to the floor and hurling a knife at that Yakuza bitch in the tea house, priceless. Much better than the watered down crap of the new one.
- Xondar, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Because it was first and foremost a series of short stories. That's like saying "why does everyone forget that Superman was a novel?" because of the novelization of the death of Superman.
- Subassy, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1Assuming you're talking about the one from the 90s I always thought it was more based on the cartoon.
- solid12345, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Well everyone else are all just rude, thoughtless little pigs.
- Xondar, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1It's funny how the author says "Jason Lee" died while filming The Crow when the image almost right above it says in huge letters "BRANDON LEE THE CROW."
Also I noticed the author used an apostrophe as a "look out! here comes an S!" mark as well. The moral: there is no excuse for stuff like this, proof read your work before you get submitted to Digg. -
