- DryCat, on 10/25/2008, -0/+89So the person who wrote this list has only played games released in the last six months?
- rjinso, on 10/24/2008, -0/+68Just please don't let them be directed by Uwe Boll.
- andrew522, on 10/24/2008, -0/+57I disagree. Portal would be a pretty boring movie because the whole point is figuring out the puzzle. You wouldn't get the same feeling watching a person shoot portals onto walls and going through an obstacle course.
The plot idea (magic gun thingy) could be applied in a different setting but not as it currently is.
half-life/half-life2 however would be an epic movie. - StormCommander, on 10/25/2008, -0/+38Uh... not really. Is this honestly the best list of games they could come up with?
- iDMG, on 10/25/2008, -0/+37Half of them aren't even released. How you would make a movie about LittleBigPlanet is beyond me.
- explnx, on 04/27/2009, -0/+34This list is pretty lame. The author just randomly took a bunch of recently released games that are popular or well-reviewed.
- inactive, on 10/25/2008, -0/+28#9 Counterstrike 1.6
#10 Ninja Gaiden
#11 Half-Life 2
#12 World of Warcraft
#13 Legend of Zelda
#14 Max Pay...oh wait... - InfoAddictOS, on 10/25/2008, -0/+20HalfLife ftw
- crickey23, on 10/24/2008, -11/+30I agree that Portal would make a good movie, but I also think that Hollywood needs to start getting their own ideas. Whenever they do a video game-based film (or even sometimes a novel-based film), they manage to mess it up somehow.
- iDMG, on 10/25/2008, -1/+19Mirror's Edge isn't even out yet
- inactive, on 10/25/2008, -3/+21Team Fortress 2.
- Spartan61, on 10/25/2008, -0/+17But they would get ruined like every other videogame-turned-movie previously made.
- StormCommander, on 10/25/2008, -1/+18Digg really does suck. Who here can honestly say they agree with this? Now ask yourself who is continuing to Digg this innacurate, mindless garbage? Damn preteens! >:{
- artfiend77, on 10/25/2008, -0/+17How odd, NONE of these games should be made into movies, and the author can't even back his claims.
- StormCommander, on 10/25/2008, -0/+16You don't have to be intelligent to get something on Digg. Just be sneaky. This list is one of Digg's many horrible creations made for the money.
- kamikazicondon, on 10/25/2008, -0/+14where the hell is half life? or halo?
- nshady, on 10/25/2008, -0/+11Top 8 Video Games That Should Be Movies, or How I Learned To Write A Digg Frontpage Story On Something I Have No ***** Idea About.
- CoreyHalliwell, on 10/25/2008, -2/+12you do not deserve the name gaming forever... unless by gaming you mean being a nieve douche.
- crickey23, on 10/24/2008, -1/+11Yeah, you're right. Now that I think about it, the only good part would be the fight with GLaDOS.
- cocainxbluez, on 10/25/2008, -0/+9Deus Ex
- loneraven, on 10/25/2008, -0/+9Yea... not a very imaginative list.
There are other games out their deserving of a movie (or not...whatever) than stuff that's about to be released or just release. - vwvwvw, on 10/25/2008, -0/+8This Christmas
prepare yourself for true horror
SOLITAIRE (of death)
It's not just time you're killing. - tmyprod, on 10/25/2008, -0/+8I'd love to see a Max Payne movie, because that piece of ***** that was just released certainly wasn't it.
- Linkshot, on 10/25/2008, -1/+9Where is Metal Gear Solid?
- Funktastic, on 10/25/2008, -0/+8Nobody here seen 'Cube'?
- Motocompo, on 10/25/2008, -0/+7Terrible.
They took some of the hottest games out (including two not yet released) and figure they might as well write an article about how they should movies made without any consideration of any movie element of value.
Stupid article, not worth the read. - redsox2590, on 10/25/2008, -1/+8Where is Bioshock and Halo?
- alexkball, on 10/25/2008, -0/+6Wii Sports
- FallenTurtles, on 10/25/2008, -2/+8Okay, but I actually enjoy Mario Bros simply for how ridiculous it is. I love Dennis Hopper and his awful roles, and the concept is just so over the top that I can't help by enjoy watching how bad the movie is. Regardless of the awful acting and plot, the movie is still visually very appealing. Special effects aren't bad, and the world they created is astoundingly detailed and interesting to look at.
So please, ***** off. - inactive, on 10/25/2008, -0/+6RA to the Men

By: Some guy - inactive, on 10/25/2008, -0/+5Bury this piece of ***** article. Half of these games haven't been released or a completely unsuitable for film adaptation. He mentions several games that are light on plot and heavy on mechanics (Portal and Braid). But completely misses out on plot heavy games like KOTOR, GTA and Half-Life. How long has this chump been playing games for?
- shazammy, on 10/24/2008, -1/+6A to the men.
- NinjaPirateDude, on 10/25/2008, -0/+5tell us then. whats the storyline?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0414852/ - frozensnake, on 10/25/2008, -0/+5team fortress 2, by pixar
rated R - pinstripewizard, on 10/25/2008, -0/+5Portal would be a great reference (GLaDOS cameo) in a Half-Life film. Along with cake.
- Exzhaton, on 10/25/2008, -0/+5Wanna see that CS Movie. I hope they take the dialogue right from the voice commands, and like at the beginning of the movie they say "Get out of there, it gonna blow!"
- Gojirra, on 10/25/2008, -0/+4Too late. Its already being made.
- MrObjectional, on 10/25/2008, -0/+4Yeah, Portal would work terribly as a movie. Can you imagine a puzzle motion picture? Ditto for Braid.
Little BigPlanet is only mentioned for its character's prospects, not the game's.
Gears and Force Unleashed probably belong up there, but Gears would get really repetitive. The story and character development just isn't there for it. - robthom, on 10/25/2008, -0/+4Stupidest thing I've read all day.
Not only because its an inherently bad idea in the first place, but the list sucks too.
The actual games dont suck so much as its just a list of some ***** 15 year olds favorite games at the moment.
Buried. - Dermah, on 10/25/2008, -0/+4The half-life movie would outrage a lot of fans because they would have to pin down Gordon Freeman's character. That or make him not talk at all, which would make for a very boring movie.
- Vodd9, on 10/25/2008, -0/+4How can you not spoil the games by giving a voice to Gordon Freeman, and how can you make a good movie without him saying a word?
- aznpwnzor, on 10/25/2008, -0/+4i would watch team fortress movie tho it has to have like an origin plot or something interesting
the design concept of tf2 is just screaming for movie it's like the incredibles for gamers - DryCat, on 10/25/2008, -0/+4Star Wars: FU? Is that one a joke? Gee, I wonder if STAR WARS would make the transition to film successfully?
- cesclaveria, on 10/25/2008, -0/+4already on production? (or development hell in halo's case)
- almondfilter3, on 10/25/2008, -6/+10No...no they shouldn't. If movie history has taught us anything, its that NO video game EVER should be adapted to film. Simple.
And if you're the guy who tries to be different and wacky and say "no Mario Bros was amazing and was the only good one" = ***** kill yourself, douche. -
