- Rain12913, on 06/30/2009, -1/+36I'm confused, why is he putting Liz Hurley and Catherine Zeta Jones in the same category as Rosie O'Donnell?
- funkymonkey01, on 06/29/2009, -0/+23A monster shark
- AmyVernon, on 06/29/2009, -0/+23I thought Sarlacc needed higher billing at first, but then realized he can't move, so he's not as scary as some of the others - only if you're being held above him.
- inactive, on 06/29/2009, -5/+26No Cloverfield monster?
- gizmo12688, on 06/30/2009, -1/+20No Predator???
- rwbrinso, on 06/29/2009, -0/+19Um, isn't Jaws just a shark?
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -0/+15Although I think the Cloverfield monster should have been on there, I fully endorse Xenomorphs winning.
- DouglasQ, on 06/30/2009, -0/+13"No, we are not talking about Liz Hurley, Catherine Zeta Jones or Rosie O’Donnell, we are talking about hideous creatures that thrive on the weak and the unholy scent of death. Again, we are not talking about Liz Hurley, Catherine Zeta Jones or Rosie O’Donnell."
What an annoyingly weak opening. - funkymonkey01, on 06/29/2009, -0/+11Godzilla FTW
- suntzusputnik, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9Reptar!
- Kajaah117, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9Dugg for Stay Puft! Now I excuse while I go turn in my geek card for not knowing Aliens were called Xenomorphs...
- thenorwegian, on 06/30/2009, -0/+8 I have never seen "The Host," aka Gwoemul. Now I must see it. Looks awesome.
- AWBoy666, on 06/30/2009, -1/+8Clovie sucked. His size differed dramatically between scenes, he was capable of somehow leaping above skyscrapers to catch random helicopters, and he was able to sneak up on a random human in the middle of a park without making a single sound. He wasn't scary, he was stupid.
- AzzidReign, on 06/30/2009, -0/+7That Gwoemul monster thing was weird as *****.
- Ford_Prefect2nd, on 06/30/2009, -0/+6... not only do I generally disagree, but what movie was Obama in? You could at least manage to be witty...
- Xplorer, on 06/30/2009, -1/+7Rosie doesn't want to be fed.... Rosie wants to HUNT!
- iparker, on 06/30/2009, -2/+6Godzilla should be number 1, period.
- suntzusputnik, on 06/30/2009, -0/+4Rancor is way scarier
- MrWally, on 06/30/2009, -0/+4It really is a fantastic film. There are a few quirky bits that get lost in translation due to the different cultures, but it is still definitely worth seeing.
- Amazetbm, on 06/30/2009, -0/+4Nah, it's just a big sand anus.
- Xplorer, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3Yet you are on digg....
- Ford_Prefect2nd, on 06/30/2009, -1/+4Aliens are called Aliens, Xenomorph may be some technical name, but beyond the common vernacular, they call the comics series Aliens and they released the movie AVP, so I really gotta go with Alien over Xenomorph.
- Animan351, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3where's Nosferatu?
- wraiyne, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3dugg for pale man. i loved that movie
- Ouze, on 06/30/2009, -3/+5The Host is an absolute ***** factory of a movie that gets an unbelievable amount of internet love because it's a Korean movie, and people want to seem cool and hip and alternative. Go ahead and rent it, I assure you, you'll regret it very, very quickly.
- suntzusputnik, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Rancor!
- AzzidReign, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2He can wiggle around in the edited version.
That's one of the few things I liked about the re-edited version of ROTJ. I know many people hated it, but I always thought it added more life to the Sarlacc Pit. - DrSnugglebunny, on 06/30/2009, -0/+217-20 were WTF choices but the rest were pretty good. The claw? No way. Clash of the Titans' Medusa would be better, for example. Gwoemul at 5 is a bit much. It was good but not top 5 material.
It's ballsy to put the xenomorphs ahead of Kong and Gojira, but in this case I agree. - Rivfader, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Is this going to be a stand up fight or another bug hunt?
- IllBeBack, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Your motion has been... denied.
- AWBoy666, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2And OMG the facehugger still gives me nightmares. I always have trouble keeping down my food thinking about them.
- wondertwins, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Gwoemul in korean means a monster or beast in general.
- gizmo12688, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2Not as good as ManBearPig
- Bloodwine, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1They were referred to as Xenomorphs in the Aliens movie, when the Space Marines were being briefed on their ship.
It's not their actual name, just what the Space Marines used to classify them. - MrWally, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1I think the reason it works so well is because it really focuses on the family relationship instead of the monster itself. It almost felt like I was watching more of a family drama than a monster movie.
- acid_jazz, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1There are some slow parts, but I love the ending of that movie. It's just a huge "***** you".
- charlietuna, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1More like 20 random movie monsters.
- sampath3, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1there are lot of movies that should come to top like load of the ring.
- NickDB, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1awesome explanation there, until you indicated your whole line of thought is based on people thinking less.
So unless we are morons or have volunteered for a frontal lobotomy, we won't understand your posts???? - Synn, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Because he is a terrible writer.
- rainydaywoman, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Mecha Streisand.
- Drahkir, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1I once saw a monster movie when I was a kid that I'm dying to see again. If you said the monster's name out loud you had to tell his whole story or he would come to kill you. Maybe it wasn't even a movie. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
- kevro, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1how about Grendel from Beowulf?
- Ouze, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Excuse me, sir, a xeno-what?
- agentsrecord, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Because cocaine is a hell of a drug.
- Petestreet, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1I watched "The Descent" tonight and it's ***** creepy.
- kjartan, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1yeah man - the baby eater was by far the most original and creepy things i've ever seen in a movie. god damn that thing was ***** up.
- Petestreet, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1My Favorite monster of all monsters is the Balrog in Fellowship of the Ring.
I loved when it roared like a giant, enraged, blast furnace. - lydiasky, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Pale man in Pan's Labyrinth was pretty freaky.
