"I say we go into orbit and nuke the place"
"f***ing A!" - Gizza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4LET you watch it, or MADE you watch it? Sounds like an evil parent.
- Scatropolis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4You guys must be too young. Those images triggered some great memories. In fact I'm going to go hunt down Harry and the Hendersons now. :)
- stuma9000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It's great to read an article from someone who is obviously knowledgeable about what he's writing. I sure learnt a thing or two.
- Mesach, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I'd buy that for a dollar!
- carbonetc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Robocop was a chin away from making it I guess.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4They were astonishing! Pity the movie was panned. Guess the critics wanted a funny muppet movie, not a serious puppet one!
- Str0gg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think the Goomba was played by Forest Whitaker
- alamko1999, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3no big bird from sesame street?
- Mattevil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No love for Rob Bottin? He did the Special FX on Robocop, The Howling, and The Thing(no suits I guess eliminated this one). Bottin's werewolf in The Howling kicks the ass of the one from underworld.
- jeff303, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Did anyone else read this as "Top 20 Movie FX Sluts"?
- scuba7183, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pizza the Hut ftw
- andreascliment, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They forgot about the suits for the aliens in Peter Jackson's Bad Taste!
- greeneyedmama, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@superal1394
My loving and twisted uncle let me watch Alien when I was 6. I am 30 and can't watch those movies alone. Love them though. Scariest monster in all of cinema. - lando3d, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Where the hell is ROBOCOP?!
- Ransomowris, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3"not very interesting"
what do you expect? the blog is called "Cardboard Monocle" - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1finally a list i can endorse.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The creature from Leviathan was just a hodge-podge of tentacles and fleshy bits. That, and it wasn't a SUIT, it was a big puppet, and therefore doesn't fit the criteria for being on this list.
Having said that... wow, someone besides me has actually seen the most underrated horror movie ever? Impressive! Leviathan is one of only a handful of horror movies that actually made me have nightmares for several nights straight after I saw it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Your mom is number one on that list. She was great in Alien Erection.
- DanNZN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No kidding! And the land striders were awesome from that movie as well. Not only were the actors in full suits, they had to perform on four stilts with puppets on their backs.
- martinj88, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2taking bets .....Harry v Chewbaca
- DAC1138, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow. Such an official list /sarcasm. It's from a website about design from two guys who are currently nobodys. Apparently they forgot to mention anything from Jim Henson's company, or even Stan Winston's Terminator suits/props.
- superzorn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Nice indeed. I swear i saw it on freshmeat or somewhere else. http://travelsphere.blogspot.com
- quigles3000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anybody see PAN'S LABYRINTH? Pan's suit design was sheer brilliance. The Pale Man looked pretty awesome, too.
- scomartha, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Not very clever post, but... Wow, these are cool!
- indyGuy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"Never have I found it so easy to suspend my disbelieve with a suited character as I have with Chewbacca"
Dude, I was still in diapers when IV came out and even then I couldn't believe it... I can see the script now "Hans Solo argues with tall guy in shoddy monkey suit.... Chewbacca: roar" - brainxs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Amazing. I was waiting for this for a very long time...
- plamia, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Dugg. I don't like such articles.
- LJRod82, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Minor quibble but for the FX fans out there, I'm pretty sure that Pumpkinhead was designed by Stan Winston and performed by Tom Woodruff. Since a majority of the list credits either the studio or the designer I think the author might have meant Winston. Good list, wish it included Pan's Labyrinth from DDT Special Effects.
- DanSummerhayes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Switch around 1 and 2, drop the Goomba and add the creature from Leviathan, and we've got a winning list!

- milomilomilo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2not one comment, and its down?
- maize, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Yeah, makes my top ten most boring top ten lists of all time. Props to the creator for all the research though. With a few tweaks it could become pretty interesting.
