- evilTak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+281) The title is "Hot Fuzz"
2) The theater won't go down after a few hundred hits - nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17http://duggmirror.com/movies/Top_10_Reasons_Why_You_Should_See_Hot_Fuzz/
- drlha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I live in a college town, 40,000 students. We've got something about 30 screens in town across 4 theatres. They've been advertising Hot Fuzz all week on networks that students like to watch (e.g. Comedy Central) and yet there is not one screen in town that is playing Hot Fuzz.
I'm ***** livid - who exactly makes these decisions and how can I punch them? - Sowdi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I live in England and have seen the movie twice. Some people here have said it's not as funny as Shaun of the Dead but I disagree. Well see the movie, it's definitely worth every minute.
- Lane5slacker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Top 1 reason why I can't see this movie:
1. It's not playing anywhere near me.
Damn you, Small Town, USA!!! - unitedkronos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I saw Hot Fuzz when it was first released in the UK a few months ago, and even though it gets a little slow a quater the way in, the remaining three quaters of the film is great and should be seen at least once, in my opinion. The shame is people are comparing this to Shaun Of The Dead which is a entirely different film, people should see past this and expect something completely different that's only related by its style of comedy and homeage to the writers inspiration.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Shame the American market is perceived as not receptive to British media. I know that Top Gear is very popular over there, especially the uncut episodes as it's very politically incorrect, and not afraid of saying something is crap.

get.a.life-pay.for.a.cinema.ticket-you.cheap.bastard.torrent - Angostura, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Curiously enough, I actually preferred Hot Fuzz to Shaun of the Dead. But I'm not sure if it will travel too well to the states. Much of the comedy, as far as I was concerned involved recognising the foibles of small-town rural Britain. Without that, all you are left with is the film homages. They are funny enough, but they are only half of the humour, IMHO.
Of course, neither hold a candle to the brilliant Spaced. - NeoCortex, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7#11 If you are actually lucky enough to have a local theater playing it.
- dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Hot Fuzz is the kind of action movie that I would make if some crazy ass producer gave me millions to make a movie.
- ghm101, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6what he said
- nathanwalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Man I had two free passes to an early screening of the movie last night here in Austin.
...I got there late, and it was over packed. They refunded my free passes for free passes to see "Next", the new Nick Cage flick. I much rather have gotten free tickets for Hot Fuzz when it officially is released. I'll wait. - goosepillows, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Guide to subjectivity on Digg:
If i like something and you dont, and you post an explanation like "that was crap" you get dugg down
If i like something and you dont, and you post an explanation like "I didn't enjoy the parody, it wasn't my cup of tea" you get dugg down - BananaAmbush, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Anyone who likes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz should do themselves a favour and check out Spaced. The best 14 episodes of anything you'll see in a long time.
- InternetUser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4you didn't just say that, did you?
- daverave999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Perhaps it is just a taste thing? I would probably say it was now in my top 3 movies of all time. I REALLY enjoyed it.
- tkcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3#11: Bill Nighy
- emjaymj, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Totally false that it's hard to find people who didn't like Shaun of the Dead. Personally I did, but a lot of people I know didn't. Of course, those people are generally the type that are into Larry the Cable Guy and WWE wrestling... idiots in other words, and pretty much without exception.
- Rayza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I heard this is one of the loudest movies ever.. Gonna bring me earplugs..
- gazwilwah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I saw hotfuzz and really enjoyed It.
- Hennell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3*Tries to find a "Don't do what digg tells you to" article to submit*
- merdiesel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Great story, soundtrack, editing, and humor... just an all around great movie.
Oh, and some of the best foot chase scenes i have ever seen.
What a movie! - BobbyMC, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2I watched this when it came out in February. Looking back it was an extra good decision as now I don't have to pay theaters over here money after they horribly supported it.
- Kevinok, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2#11 Because the movie is awesome.
- Lunacy182, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The closes theater to show this movie is an hour away, and I'm still going there to see it today. I can't miss this one.
- skellener, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I will absolutely see this movie.
But not for reasons in the article. Rotten Tomatoes gave 'Sith' an 81% which was probably one of the worst films ever made. Can't trust them anymore. I don't need an homage to Point Break or Michael Bay or any He-Man references thank you very much. In fact, those are almost reasons NOT to go. Good job there Neil.
I will see it because it looks like a ***** awesome movie and having already seen "Shaun of the Dead" I have 100% faith in the filmmakers. - Ferretman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Just got back from the movie...loved it! Hilarious!! Well worth the price...I had a great time, enjoyed it more than Pathfinder actually.
- pyromouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I've suffered through some horrible movies this year, so it came as a great relief to see a decent movie. Unfortunately it's wouldn't do the movie justice to say it's the best movie I've seen all year. I would have to say Hot Fuzz is the best movie I've seen in theater in the past 3 years or so. It is comic genius. Don't miss this movie. There may still be hope for the movie industry.
- Nukingtoolbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I watched Hot fuzz with a mate and some other friends way back, like two months ago. And anticipated the same kind of dramatic input that you would find from watching "Shaun of the Dead" for example. In terms of genre "Shaun of the Dead" a example simply because it has the comedy/violence through the whole entire film which is exactly the same "genre" they used in Hot Fuzz. From my opinion inspiration of monitoring the area is present in this film which gives more drama to the film apart from just two genre's-comedy/violence.
- yensed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+211-Screen cinema, but no Hot Fuzz. Its a Damn Shame.
- JAFFA, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hot Fuzz is a comedy GEM!
Not as funny as SotD but good old SUBTLE brit humour .... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22. Dropkick/flying kicks an old lady who is armed with a double barrel in the face
i only point that out because he doesnt like kick someone in the face while they're sitting down for no particular reason - emorphien, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hardly
- emorphien, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Shaun didn't have comedy violence the whole way through. It did for the first half but the comedy dropped off precipitously after that point.
- doczein, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i haven't seen it, but i'm just gonna say that i found the trailer to be purely unfunny. i'm sorry.
- daverave999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Who?
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Your probably not in the US I'm guessing? It was out a while ago in the UK (understandable given that's where it was made..), but it's only recently been shown in America
- LazyZombie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ive seen it, its good. Go see it. That is all
- mlaninfa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm going to the Winchester after seeing the movie!!!!
- nicbrown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Two reasons:
The thing in the hand and the thing in the jaw.
How long before Edgar Wright gets given the reigns of a big franchise film? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1just saw it and it was ***** hilarious
- Dorepoll, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I loved it as well.
"You're off the chain!" - ScrumFritter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hot Fuzz was ***** awesome. Anyone that says otherwise is... well, wrong. There, I said it!
- vietscotch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I felt the need to add that Fracture was genius and shouldn't be on the list of reasons to go see Hot Fuzz. I saw both movies, both were great.
- kevyn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"you want to be a big man in a small town? then f*** off to model village"
- daverave999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I must admit I clapped when I saw that bit.
