10. Lord of War (imho pretty good)
9. Flash Gordon (Terrible other than the Queen song)
8. Reservoir Dogs (Good, but top 10?)
7. Austin Powers (Always enjoyed it, myself)
6. Dawn of the Dead 2005 (Movie is broken on their site)
5. Catch Me if You Can (Clever, well done)
4. The Spy Who Loved Me (Really? They're all sorta the same)
3. Vertigo (Classic but dated)
2. Se7en (A personal favorite)
1. Raging Bull (Boring as hell, only got on here because of the movie itself, not the credits) - goldfenix, on 04/20/2009, -2/+52You have a point, batman. Allow me to correct that.

Sorry none of those are embedded, but Digg doesn't support it. - inactive, on 04/20/2009, -5/+47No Fight Club? Are you insane?
- bixby1, on 04/20/2009, -1/+34The first half of 'Lord of War' is a fantastic ride. Movies like 'Lord', 'Blow', 'Casino' are a great ride while the main characters rise to fortune. then there's the decline and I get all sad. For some reason I just wanted them to get away with it.
- relikborg, on 04/20/2009, -0/+30Monty Python's Holy Grail.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWHXxmUgMGw - Monotonousblob, on 04/20/2009, -0/+29The opening for "Thank You for Smoking" is really incredible as well.
- NathanielJ, on 04/20/2009, -4/+31There's going to be some anger about Watchmen not being on this list.
- Lucas123, on 04/20/2009, -4/+26I agree with most of these, but Raging Bull's credit sequence nearly put me to sleep. Two-and-a-half minutes of slo-mo action of a boxer preparing to fight?
- JDanner3, on 04/20/2009, -1/+21I loved the Catch me if You Can opening sequence. It is cool.
- inactive, on 04/20/2009, -1/+18Wow this list sucks
- manergy, on 04/20/2009, -4/+20Wheres Watchmen?
- inactive, on 04/20/2009, -0/+14AskMen is a terrible site.
- timothiuz, on 04/20/2009, -1/+15I think James Bond's movies series have pretty creative opening credits
- geodebug, on 04/20/2009, -1/+15I'm not angry but still think the opening was about the best part of the movie (and I'm the rare goofball that liked the movie).
Definitely should be on this list since it is about the freshest take on credits since I can remember. - bonk2k, on 04/20/2009, -2/+14Not to mention, Lord of War is actually a GOOD Nic Cage movie.
- Mouse13, on 04/20/2009, -0/+12big lebowski, memento, the shining
just sayin. - semperfidoordi, on 04/20/2009, -0/+11I can't believe Fight Club wasn't on here, or The Kingdom. Both awesome openers.
- voteobama4, on 04/20/2009, -1/+11How in the hell is "Magnolia" not on here? Best movie opening I have ever seen, bar none.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAWDEsgMahQ - hushpuppy20, on 04/21/2009, -0/+10I enjoyed "Watchmen", but even for those that don't this was a great opening sequence! It explained a whole bunch of back story, had a cool Bob Dylan song, and featured some really cool camera work and striking visuals.

If nothing else its worth it for the first scene where Night Owl is saving Bruce Wayne's parents. - kdmkdmkdm, on 04/20/2009, -0/+9Wi nøt try a høliday in Sweden this yêr
- DiggityDugged, on 04/20/2009, -3/+12Buried for 10 pages for 10 paragraphs. Redo your whole Web site if you have to, your layout sucks.
- LegomanArt, on 04/20/2009, -1/+10Honestly, it was a really good opening credit sequence. It beats quite a number of the ones on this list, in my opinion.
- JoeParanoid, on 04/20/2009, -0/+9While they mention it in passing, I think the opening to Casino Royale is spectacular and ballsy considering the chances they were taking in breaking from tradition.
- Blinker1315, on 04/20/2009, -1/+8Totally disagree. I think "Raging Bull's" opening is hypnotic, a masterpiece.
- gasin, on 04/20/2009, -0/+7Snatch?
- whiteknives, on 04/20/2009, -1/+8I liked Serenity's intro. One single camera shot.
- manlyandy, on 04/20/2009, -1/+7Credits were at the end of the movie.
buried. - inactive, on 04/20/2009, -3/+9except we cant see the videos in your list. basically the whole point of this post
- mxpx5678, on 04/20/2009, -0/+6Fight Club was really amazing.
- chadley384, on 04/20/2009, -2/+7What?! How dare they leave out The Naked Gun trilogy!!!

and
Family Guy Parody: http://bit.ly/T3paX - doctechnical, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5Dugg for the Pink Panther movies. The opening credits spun off a whole Saturday morning TV show.
Not to mention yet another great movie them from Henry Mancini. - digidelia, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5this is one of my favorites. the song is just great
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHKBIKv0HjA - bradleyland, on 04/21/2009, -0/+5Those responsible have been sacked.
- SwankRock3000, on 04/20/2009, -1/+6Watchmen (sure, it's recent, but it was perhaps the best part of the film)
Jackass: The Movie (can't go wrong with a Spike Jonze-helmed big budget shopping cart gag)
Fight Club - CorporateMartyr, on 04/20/2009, -4/+8better than all of them was the opening of "the way of the gun"
check it out here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9fbIFMAIrQ - borez, on 04/20/2009, -5/+9No StarWars, no Pink Panther, no 2001, no etc. etc. etc. not on one page... buried.
- shadowexilex2, on 04/21/2009, -0/+4Kyle Cooper as a title designer is awesome, he's the one who did Se7en and Dawn of the Dead on the list
his IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0178204/
He also made the Metal Gear Solid 2/3 Title Sequence and trailers. And those HP photo picture frame ads.
His recent reel:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kf2yk1x-Fis&fmt ... - Peko, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4Maybe I'm missing something. That Magnolia link - although compelling - isn't really a title sequence.
- Zanneth, on 04/20/2009, -1/+5Pretty much all of the James Bond films had great openings since the very beginning. I especially liked Quantum of Solace's.
- Spinfusor, on 04/20/2009, -1/+5Barb Wire should definitely be on that list.
- Conguent, on 04/21/2009, -0/+4They're rare. But they happen.
- aknolp, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4Flash Aaahhhh!! Savior of the Universe!
- The2ndAct, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4Throw in best trailer too. Magnolia is an amazing movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwXDHSrNFbQ
"And this will all make sense... in the end." - SKLOKAZOID, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4No Terminator 2? That'd be on my list.
- Fogdelune, on 04/21/2009, -0/+4Contact.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNAUR7NQCLA - dontpanic49, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4I'm not sure it counts as the opening credits but the part in Snatch where all the characters are introduced on those bright colored title cards always gets me. Each one really gets across the characters personalities, like Tony throwing the guy in the trunk or Bricktop bashing the guy's head in with a hammer. I think the actual credits play while Franky's stealing the diamond though, which is still pretty cool.
- tonytroz, on 04/20/2009, -1/+5Correct, Star Wars was one of the first (if not THE first) movie to not have opening credits because Lucas wanted the dramatic opening. Lucas actually had to leave the Directors' guild over this, which rumor says stopped him from being able to have Steven Spielberg direct Return of the Jedi.
- scecilio, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4When I was a kid, this was my favorite opening credit sequence.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtShPnL07bE - Sinaca, on 04/20/2009, -0/+3Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice.
