Although, I don't know if it qualifies, because it's a woman-to-woman fight. Still, it's the best fight scene in any movie in my opinion.
Edit: that's only the second half of the scene. There's the first part where they are jumping across the rooftops. So awesome. - val8ntin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The Achilles vs. Hector battle scene from Troy is an incredible fighting scene. Its not slow, its real and pure coordinated fighting. The shields themselves probably weigh >20 pounds. How fast can you possibly move with them? The movie, although historically inaccurate, was also well done.
For some reason it has received a lot of bad rap from critics. I personally loved it.
Watch the film first, then comment. Just 'cause other people say its crap and "wtf?" - doesn't mean *****.

- jkenneth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The fight scene in Grosse Pointe Blank between John Cusack and that other assassin was amazing, but I'm not surprised it wasn't on this list, it was really odd to find probably the most realistic fight scene I've ever seen in what is essentially a romantic comedy. I can't find a video, but if someone has one, you'll see what I mean.

When it comes to Star Wars fight scenes, the ones in the new trilogy are definitely list worthy. Despite the absence of good dialog or a worthy plot, episodes 1-3 had some amazing lightsaber duels.
