- woofers07, on 07/08/2009, -1/+34I got a total non-sexual man-crush on Johnny Depp. I'm pretty sure it's non-sexual anyway.
- GoKings, on 07/08/2009, -2/+29Nothing from Blow? Seriously? It was arguable one of his greatest films.
- funkytaco, on 07/08/2009, -0/+20Johnny Depp should play a white michael jackson. He so could pull it off.
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -2/+18I thought he also had some pretty good moments in "Finding Neverland"
- lolupissed, on 07/08/2009, -0/+11Agreed Blow is an awesome/underrated movie
- Ferretman, on 07/08/2009, -0/+10He's really an amazingly versatile actor.
- DrZmobie, on 07/08/2009, -1/+11It's guy love. That's all it is. It's guy love, it's yours and his.
- tomjunlee, on 07/08/2009, -3/+10Johnny Depp doesn't watch his own movies. Even though his children do.
- Albumen, on 07/08/2009, -1/+8Perhaps, but it didn't rape the book.. In fact, it was much closer to the original story
- annmara2, on 07/08/2009, -0/+6What I admire about Johnny is that his personality is so different from his movie characters yet he can portray them perfectly. In all of his movies, I feel like they couldn't have picked a better guy. He's is so awesome. Yes Ferretman, versatile indeed.
- thejackyl, on 07/08/2009, -0/+6Johnny Depp doesn't care about black people. Even though his children do.
- j0kerz, on 07/08/2009, -0/+6***** ign and their multiple pages...
- Albumen, on 07/08/2009, -1/+6Guy love between two guys! /scrubs reference
- DestroyedAUS, on 07/08/2009, -0/+5Man IGN run an intense amount of scripts on their pages.
- mlvassallo, on 07/08/2009, -0/+5Diner or Park scenes from Benny and Joon...
- ninjad, on 07/08/2009, -0/+5"feature-length acid trip featuring Depp's Raoul Duke and Benicio del Toro's Dr. Gonzo, the highlight of which comes when Gary Busey shows up as a highway cop who pulls the duo over"
Busey pulled Raoul alone over while he tried to escape vegas before the cops could catch him for committing capital fraud. Gonzo was in another state at his office and sent a telegram to him that morning telling him he had another assignment.
Too bad the author of the article couldn't catch that little detail... - DouglasQ, on 07/08/2009, -0/+4Dugg fo Dead Man.
I'm with you dude. Diggers only give a crap about lowest common denominator popcorn abortions like 300 and Transformers. - Albumen, on 07/08/2009, -0/+4That movie was amazing!!!
- el_taco, on 07/08/2009, -0/+3And to add to that.
The whole can I have a kiss line was Gary Busey messing around after the take of that scene. The camera just happened to still be rolling so they included it. - KrashTheMighty, on 07/08/2009, -0/+3so what are you? A Non-Digger?
- zachrd99, on 07/08/2009, -0/+3Why are we obsessed with lists?
Here's a list of all the reasons....
http://zrdavis.com/the-top-4-reasons-why-people-li ... - DBLaise, on 07/08/2009, -3/+6You do know it was a book first. The only reason the first movie was the way it was, so different from the book, was technical problems they simply couldn't do what the book demanded. I personally liked the new one because it was truer to the book.
- copypastry, on 07/08/2009, -0/+3The popcorn fertility rate is pretty low as is, with all those unpopped kernels.
- mmijatov, on 07/08/2009, -0/+3I was really expecting the are you a Mexican or a a Mexican't line
- Th3_anOmoLy, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2I was hoping his Buster Keaton/Charlie Chaplin routines from Benny and Joon would have made the list. Definitely not as popular as a lot of his other work, but outstanding none the less.
- Lunchbox37, on 07/08/2009, -2/+4I honestly was sleeping through half of it, and I still thought it was too ***** long. It was totally let down, and Mann is one of my favorite directors.
- inactive, on 07/08/2009, -1/+3All ten moments are from Fear and Loathing. Period.
- Kohdee, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2They picked the wrong scene for Gilbert Grape. The final scene is the best.
- Maynza, on 07/08/2009, -4/+6Buried for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, that movie raped the original.
- quademire87, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2no blow!? i liked him in that better than fear and loathing, altho both his drugged out movies were amazing
- Kidddrunkadelic, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2"we can't stop here, this is bat country"
- network, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2Who cares?
- donkz, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2I've been browsing different "best *** of Johnny Depp" lists for a week now and it comes clear to me that none of these "movie gurus" ever seen or appreciated Blow, which is, to me, Depp's life-time achievment and career milestone.
Blow is, hands down, his BEST movie, best actor defining movie, and one of the best movies ever made, IMHO.
Blow, watch it. Best 2.5 hours of Johnny Depp.
(it is also the best of Ray Liotta borderlining with Goodfellas, best of Franka Potente, and great performance by Penelope Cruz) - Riggaberto, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2Nah:
Raoul Duke: Alright listen to me. In a few hours, she'll probably be sane enough to work herself into some kind of towering Jesus-based rage at the hazy recollection of being seduced by some kind of cruel Samoan who fed her liquor and LSD, dragged her to a Vegas hotel room and then savagely penetrated every orifice in her little body with his throbbing, uncircumcised member. - bradleyland, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2I'm not sure why you're being dugg down. That's damned near a direct quote from him during his latest Letterman interview.
- jimi1337, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2arguably*
- DBLaise, on 07/08/2009, -1/+2Fear and loathing is my favorite movie of all time. Hunter S Thompson was a genius and there was no one better to play that part than Johnny Depp.
- Maynza, on 07/08/2009, -3/+4I read both of the books, and it raped the original movie. The oompa loompas were horrible, johnny depps character was off, and the whole mood was wrong.
- burningrobot, on 07/08/2009, -0/+1For an awesome portrayal of Hunter S. Thompson, check out Bill Murray in Where The Buffalo Roam. I think Murray does a better job acting the part of HST, whereas Johnny Depp damn near IS HST.
- MusicJunkie, on 07/08/2009, -0/+1I've been a fan... and had a crush on him.. since What's Eating Gilbert Grape. How he is doesn't own an Oscar I'll never understand.
- RobertWright, on 08/13/2009, -1/+2The list goes on and on!!
- unrealJEDI, on 07/08/2009, -0/+1agreed... criminal not to put a scene in from blow
- rocknog, on 07/08/2009, -1/+2Clearly you're not familiar with the works of Roald Dahl if you're a fan of the original. I admit, in my younger days I enjoyed it, but reading the book totally ruined it for me, and I have to admit, the Tim Burton version was far closer to the book.
- speedbrown, on 07/08/2009, -7/+8Public Enemy was boring and way to long
- donkz, on 07/08/2009, -0/+1that was trash, sorry
- yammy1688, on 07/08/2009, -0/+1NO 21 JUMP STREET? WTF?
- yacks, on 07/08/2009, -3/+3No "Once Upon in Mexico"?
- alanmanquero, on 07/08/2009, -1/+1"I like baseball, movies, good girls, fast cars....and you....what else you need to know?"
