- Gozita, on 08/16/2008, -4/+105I see why they cut it. That was pretty boring. Great movie can't wait for the DVD..
- fugeelama, on 08/15/2008, -1/+101"I'm thinking of a number between one and five"
Every time I try that line the girl says 1 and walks away... - NYCEST124, on 08/15/2008, -2/+62So basically Tony Stark does what everyone in here wishes they could do but will fail.
...And he sleeps with 3 beautiful women. - seiga, on 08/16/2008, -2/+56The fact is that most scenes in a movie like Iron Man are "awkward" when you lay them bare. But after the editor tightens up the cuts, the sound guys make them seem alive, and the effects guys create a sense of location, everything is hunky dory. There's a reason a movie like this costs 150 mil -- a lot of extremely talented people work very hard to create the finished product.
- Ooddiey, on 08/15/2008, -7/+57Dumb ass title Stark always had more women that bruce.
- shagg187, on 08/16/2008, -0/+47The difference between Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark is that Tony Stark is a playboy billionaire first and Iron Man second. Bruce Wayne is Batman first and playboy billionaire second. If Tony Stark hangs out with 3 women, it's because he can. If Bruce Wayne hangs out with 3 women, it's because he have to. Bruce can't live with 'em and Tony can't live without 'em.
That said, I'm glad this scene didn't make the final cut. Too cheesy and out of place. - Managua8Green, on 08/15/2008, -7/+47well, he should have ***** them before his way out. Now that's just inconsiderate.
- ChronicColonic, on 08/16/2008, -0/+39This movie was rated PG-13, not PG as the article and description states.
- DoctorDuckey, on 08/16/2008, -1/+31If they put some decent dialogue in, that could have been ill.
(By the way--the sultan who gives Stark the two ladies is Ghostface Killah. He often refers to himself as Tony Stark) - adventflux, on 08/15/2008, -1/+31That's not what that title means. It refers to the fact that Bruce Wayne always has to leave wherever he is during an emergency.
- Darusame, on 08/16/2008, -0/+27Should have been cut? It was cut!
- mlvassallo, on 08/16/2008, -0/+21First off, wasn't Iron Man PG-13? Second, didn't he ***** a reporter he picked up at a party once in the movie already?
- sadsadrobot, on 08/16/2008, -0/+21No he flew away during the fireworks...
- jasonh1234, on 08/16/2008, -0/+18I think the trick is to be a multi billionaire when you say it.
- liljay2k, on 08/16/2008, -0/+18poor put-upon Pepper Potts
- alexkball, on 08/16/2008, -1/+17I can see why they cut this scene out...it just seems forced and contrived.
- Miamisun, on 08/16/2008, -4/+16That was an awkward seen....good editing whether it was to get a rating or just to clean up the movie
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 08/16/2008, -1/+11*scene
- sanman, on 08/16/2008, -1/+10hopefully this scene will be included in the DVD version
hmm, so that's where the phrase "stark naked" comes from... - seiga, on 08/16/2008, -0/+9You're right that in many ways it's not different from other movies. I was making my point against those calling the scene categorically "awkward" and therefore unfit to be in the movie.
But I do think movies like Iron Man are conceived in particular way so that what's actually going on while filming is only a small part of what is planned in the finished product. And this is why the scenes can seem particularly awkward, because you're seeing a small subset of what will eventually comprise the film. And I would say that the writers sacrifice realism in the dialogue to make it best complement the sound, cg, pace, etc of the movie.
Contrast this with a movie like Shawshank Redemption or The Godfather (to be imdb neutral ;) where the characters are at the forefront and most scenes are shot as they will be seen in the end. - largesandwich, on 08/16/2008, -1/+8I saw that too. Sucks they cut Ghostface out of the movie. He's my favorite Wu for sure. He uses many other monikers like Pretty Tony and Ironman. Him and MF Doom supposedly were making and album together running with their Marvel comics alias'. Only a couple of tracks I've heard that leaked. Still waiting for the album (doubt it's coming though)
- Genecalypse, on 08/16/2008, -3/+9Sorry Bruce Wayne would have 4 ladies, and that girls boy freind would want to come too.
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 08/16/2008, -0/+6Cleaning up the internet one comment at a time!
- bishopknight, on 08/16/2008, -3/+8...more women *than* bruce.
- coheedcollapse, on 08/16/2008, -0/+5It's funny that a scene that could be shown midday on some entertainment show would have pushed up the movie rating past Pg-13 (or whatever it was).
Either the ratings system is completely screwed up or the reason that that clip was deleted was not to tone it down. - AxYoung, on 08/16/2008, -2/+7Iron Man and a skyscraper? Dubai has it made!
- alenox, on 08/16/2008, -1/+5god i hate hollywood's version of party scenes...has anyone seen Never Back Down? sooooo ridiculously unrealistic.
- NuttyVirus, on 08/16/2008, -0/+4No wonder that scene is "deleted".
- crmecozzi, on 08/16/2008, -0/+4Dugg for GFK
- centran, on 08/16/2008, -0/+4This was a good dump to the cutting room floor. If you think about it in the context of the movie then it doesn't work.
People where not skeptical that he was Iron Man until the very end and he didn't give a *****. This scene would have ruined the pacing of the movie as it doesn't really make sense with the direction the movie was going.
Actually, this scene could fit into the second movie. I believe they want to tackle his alcoholism and Tony throwing a bunch of parties would fit in. - inactive, on 08/16/2008, -1/+4Ghostface!!
- sfcaptainrob, on 08/16/2008, -0/+3I see why it was deleted. Other than the three girls in bed, it was kinda boring.
- jimmick, on 08/16/2008, -1/+3He walks into the bathroom, then it cuts to fireworks.
I hope it's not just me seeing the connection - inactive, on 08/16/2008, -4/+6Perhaps next time "a number between 3 and 5" may yield more positive results.
This is nothing more then a slight problem with too many options and chances of probability not being in your favor at that particular moment. An improbability drive may also be useful in future encounters. - dhughes, on 08/16/2008, -0/+2 I like how everyone is dancing but there isn't any music since it hasn't been overdubbed yet.
- helooksmortal, on 08/16/2008, -1/+3what does he say at 1:44-1:42ish about that blonde woman? i can't make it out.
- sgvprelude, on 08/16/2008, -0/+2Was that him flying away in the suit during the fireworks? If that's the case Iron Man maybe isn't that Iron at all.
- imakecomments, on 08/16/2008, -1/+3Yeah, and this could "definately" improve your spelling: http://www.d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y.com/
- laronde20, on 08/16/2008, -1/+3Soooooooooooooooo not fresh.
- 000dnj, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1So wait, you're telling me women aren't attracted to me because I've perfected my routine? lol at PU.
- ninerskeet, on 08/16/2008, -1/+2Tony Stark meets Toney Stark, awesome!
- guyperson, on 08/19/2008, -0/+1On the other hand...
- Engine24, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1Haaa!!! Nice, smooth moves, like it!
- hadak, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1Yummy.
- bullioncube, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1It must feel akward dancing without music, especially that one cuban guy who was reeaaally lettin it loose.
- inactive, on 08/16/2008, -1/+2Tony Stark reclaims his 3rd lady total pimp style. He's got the deal, a future favor, and dude's party girl.
- Lezlee798, on 08/17/2008, -1/+1It would spelling, not grammar.
- Kinsbane, on 08/16/2008, -1/+1Iron Man had amazing pacing to its story and editing, this would have just thrown it way off. Glad they dumped it.
- phrenzy, on 08/16/2008, -0/+0I believe Glengary Glen Ross had very little CGI in it.
- cscottamos, on 08/30/2008, -0/+0Tony Stark's the man
