- Happy_Phantom, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Good.
Where are the superhero vs superhero movies? Thor vs Hulk. Hulk vs Spiderman. Batman vs Superman.- quomen, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1Sigh.
- Charlotte_Web, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Superman vs. Muhammed Ali
- Sarzec, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1They already did a Hulk/Thor movie in '88
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095368/ - D3koy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2The only good hero against hero movie would be Punisher v. Daredevil....but a movie based on Civil war would be amazing....
- counterplex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Dugg for Civil War movie
- H0tKarl, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Spiderman vs. Wolverine FTW.
(I don't think Superman vs Batman would be a very long movie)- tnvwboy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3aww come on, you have to bring on the story that brought Wolvie to the Marvel universe. Hulk vs. Wolverine! It would be EPIC!
- Kinkistyle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Ooooo yes, Thor vs. Hulk. And there should lots of hammering, grappling and oil.
- sarjuva, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0The Avengers vs. Thunderbolts. With Captain America and either Zemo or Hawkeye. Then again there wouldn't be budget to make it both good and profitable at same time.
- quomen, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1Sigh.
- coltrane68, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15On the one hand, I'm a huge Thor fan. On the other hand, I just don't see a Thor movie franchise.
- h2g242, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2Who is a Thor fan... seriously?
I guess this IS digg...- hiPpymIck, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4..the day of the week..Th(o)rsday
- jordanlund, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It could be done...
The Mighty Thor - Introduce the character getting exiled to Earth, imprisoned in the body of the weakling with the walking stick, rules about only those who are worthy get the hammer, etc. Then Thor goes and beats up a giant monster or something.
Thor 2 - Beta Ray Bill story
Thor 3 - Ragnarok, Odin dies, Thor becomes king.
- h2g242, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2Who is a Thor fan... seriously?
- badjoke, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I wonder what will happen when the Hollywood types lacking any creativity suck the superhero genre dry. Maybe they'll move onto remaking the superhero movies.
- RealmDown, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Can you say "Roadrunner" ?
- adougherty, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Like Batman Begins, and Superman Returns?
There has also been two remakes of Captain America, though most people don't know of one or more of those versions existing.
- RealmDown, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Can you say "Roadrunner" ?
- deadowl, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I worked at an amusement park with this kid who was actually named Thor. I'm told that he had really weird parents. He quit last week. He missed the kid ***** on the bumper cars and the kiddie train ride that went runaway when the on/off switch broke.
- SimonGray, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Thor is normal name in Scandinavia, as is Freja (Frey) and some other Viking god names.
- UPGR4Y3DD, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Thor was already in "Adventures in Babysitting". If they wanted to do a Thor movie, it should have been in the 80's during the hair rock band era.

- whatthefu, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4This is going to be pretty ridiculous, i.e., the Marvel adaptation of Norse mythology on the big screen.
- mos6507, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7The bible belt won't like it.
- mos6507, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7The bible belt won't like it.
- bobcrotch, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3They need to make a movie based on Cable (of course with Deadpool too).
- Area51mafia, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Since there's already a whole bunch of superhero movies, I'd like to see a movie based on Civil War.
I was never a big Thor fan, and I can't really see this being a big success with most people. - carl25, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7For the love of god
doesn't anyone else think that marvel is just trying to surf the superhero wave ? honestly they are completely screwing good superheroes over- Spr0k3t, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2You're right. Marvel is making a mockery of their own. The only way they can solve this problem is if they let only one production studio use the rights or open the rights to all studios per character. I doubt we will ever see the hero vs hero or even a villain from one world merge to another.
- Osjpr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I think the solution is to hire a director and screenwriter who are independent and who won't pander to the preteen/teen market.

- D3koy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7Thor is a weak comic book character and I can't think of anyone who is capable of playing him....Sounds terrible, plus isn't this old news?
- miyamotofreak, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Ugh. If there's a non-major superhero movie that needs to be made, it's the Question.
- BooostedAWD, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11I had a roommate named Thor..
..He was an *****.- blackjack75, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Were you getting hammered all the time?

- Osjpr, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1I'll be the first to say this will be pure rubbish like all the other films...well one of the first...
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Stan Lee invented Thor, The Asgard God of thunder?
How ***** old is that man?
Seriously, how many hundred years will it take before Jesus is in a comic book fighting crime alongside Mohammed?
A few hundred years ago, the Thor character wouldve been blasphemy!- Dumbledorito, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1No, "Beta Ray Bill" was blasphemy. Seriously, why do people like that character and his dippy-ass name?
- bat-21, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It's been done. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_best_friends
- Ouze, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1The only way I would see this movie is if Samuel L Jackson was cast as Thor. Frankly, I think every movie would be a little bit better if Samuel L Jackson played the lead - go ahead, stop a moment and think. What would my favorite movie be like if it starred Samuel L? Chances are, after you ruminate a moment, you will agree - improved. Anyway, he'd be great as Thor, the M-F'ing God of Thunder.
- archer104, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Samuel L. Jackson's Day Off?
"Life moves pretty *****' fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a *****' while, you could miss it *****." - pinchduck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I can't believe Vivian Leigh beat him out for Gone with the Wind. He would have been a great Scarlett.
- archer104, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Someone get these *****' yanks, out of my *****' SOUTH!!
- archer104, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Samuel L. Jackson's Day Off?
- gamerzx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Let's see... we have Iron-Man, and now Thor. I've heard there are plans for a Captain America movie.... who else do we need to complete the Avengers?
- hiPpymIck, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1The Toxic Avenger
- carl25, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1hulk ? done
giant man? god no
forgot the other main avengers - foolishimp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'd love to see a Dr Strange movie, he was always a favorite of mine - and would probably have more resonance with audiences than Thor.
Wait ... i vaguely recall some Dr Strange movie ... made long long ago. Found it! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077469/- UlicBelouve, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Good news. There's an animated one coming out tomorrow. They don't seem eager to do a Live-action one, but if you Like Dr. Strange, check it out.
- Lister169, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Strange would kick ass.
- rmeddy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Great idea for a movie ,I just hope that those idiots who made the Underworld franchise have nothing to do with this.
- Postoasted, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2I hope they don't screw it up like they did with The Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer. That movie sucked.
- s1ade, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Hopefully it will start with him hanging round Heathrow trying to catch the 3:37 to Oslo.
- Kinkistyle, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I love Thor in the comic books but after some recent Marvel-based movies I think this has a Ghostriders chance in hell of being a good movie.
Someone oughta make an Aqua-man movie.... and it should be a musical.- Osjpr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"Someone oughta make an Aqua-man movie.... and it should be a musical."

- mikoyski, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Mjolnir on the big screen!
- Complexium, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Norse mythology ftw
- nausic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0haha, that would be awesome to watch his hammer fall from the sky.
- MoDinero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thor vs the Hulk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWmHEF_PT8E - robotderek42, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Dug down for lowering Thor to superhero status. He's a God. WTF.
Still, not a good idea. This will end up next to Dare Devil & GhostRider. Maybe they'll sell it as a three pack. - mr804, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I hope it's based on the Ultimate thor. Who they just thought was some crazy dude.
- Complexium, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1"A few hundred years ago, the Thor character wouldve been blasphemy!"
More like 1000+ years.- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1You're right. That's 10's of hundreds but still hundreds.
Who cares, this movie is going to bomb big time unless it includes some cameo appearances by Captain America, Spiderman, Iron Man etc. I dont know why Marvel doesnt spice up these ***** movies with proven money-making characters.
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1You're right. That's 10's of hundreds but still hundreds.
- shauncorleone, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4A Thor Superhero movie? I would prefer a Thor Romantic Comedy movie.
- xenoploid, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1They are officially scraping the Marvel barrel now.
- aadnk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I think the cast is going to experience a lot of thunderstorms. ANGRY thunderstorms.
- xkrwlng, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1i guess h2g242 hasn't read any of the Ultimate series comics from Marvel. Thor is a badass.
- laptopgen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Wasn't this done in the 80's? I seem to recall a huge blond guy with a helmet that was way too large for him. Maybe that was the Spider-Man made for TV live action series....or Flavor Flav.
- drnoel1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Am a big fan of Thor, but I've got a lot of reservations for this one. It'll break my heart if they don't get it right.
- GaleaXander, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Antiquities are history defaced, or some remnants of history which have casually escaped the shipwreck of time.
- rjbatty, on 02/14/2008, -0/+0All things being even, a Thor movie could be spectacular or a dud. I would like to see Thor juggling a crisis on earth and in Aasgard at the same time. If you think of the success of "300" and "Lord of the Rings," Thor has plenty of potential. I pray that the film makers stay close to the original Jack Kirby design. Everything since has been awful. If they treat the character and material seriously, people will suspend their sense of disbelief. Hey, any hero who can lift the Hulk off the ground from a kneeling position has the right to some high-level exposure. Please use a real actor for this role and not some buffed-out muscle man. Maybe they should begin casting in Iceland. Man, myth and magic could be a recipie for a true Norse saga (trilogy). I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
- mpn62, on 05/13/2008, -0/+0I'd vote for Triple H of the WWE to play "Thor". He has the look and build to play the part. Anyone else have an opinion on this idea?
