You weren't supposed to look up to the man who got addicted to coke, wanted to pork his sister, killed his best friend and ***** up his entire life.
Al Capone, the original "Scarface", is more of a "gangsta" than Montana anyway. The man made a million dollars a year in 1922; which is ~$11.5m in 2008 dollars. - celotil, on 11/22/2008, -0/+5Most of the gangster/crime movies have a certain theme, either of the gangster building his empire and losing it in the end or trying to get out while he's ahead, and usually losing everything anyway.
Donnie Brasco and Goodfellas stand out as deviating from this a little mainly because they were based on real life, and although only one has an FBI agent, both end up getting out before they get killed.
Layer Cake I didn't see until recently, after Casino Royale, and the only bit about the movie I didn't like is not that the lead character died, but how he died. Why the hell was the fourth wall broken at the end? There was no need for that.

Yes, a hoodie that was half black/half white just like the poster...and just as bad as you would imagine.

It's funny how a movie/tv show can both glamourise and demonise the black market, something the majority of which could be destroyed overnight simply by making illegal drugs legal.
