- slightlyoffbeat, on 05/12/2008, -3/+139Rumor has it, that at least half of the movie will consist of the two lead actors frantically running around corn fields and randomly yelling "Mulder!"..."Scully"!
- tyywebb, on 05/12/2008, -3/+106I want to believe this movie won't suck.
- bicyclethief, on 05/12/2008, -3/+97Mulder better finally tap that Scully ass.
- hmemcpy, on 05/12/2008, -2/+68**SPOILER!**
* Scully calls Mulder
-"Mulder, where are you?" - drowningfish, on 05/12/2008, -1/+67Do I have issues if I teared up a bit upon hearing the original theme from the series?
- dafragsta, on 05/12/2008, -2/+60I want to believe... that I will still find Gillian Anderson to be hot, but in a much more MILFY way.
- imnalien69, on 05/12/2008, -5/+63LOL Xzibit!
- Chaomancer, on 05/12/2008, -7/+51I don't just want to believe, I want to see it!
- cugar, on 05/12/2008, -1/+42scully with long hair = win
- jsd8cc, on 05/12/2008, -0/+34Supposedly, the film is more along the lines of the MOTW (Monster of the Week) episodes, so it doesn't have anything to do with the Mytharc story (aliens, government conspiracy, etc.) like the first movie.
...At first I wish they had revealed a little more of the plot, instead of a minute and a half of people running around, but I think they want to keep it somewhat of a mystery.
Big fan (obviously)...can't wait. - limes4all, on 05/12/2008, -1/+29SUP DAWG, WE HEARD YOU LIKED THE X-FILES, SO I PUT MYSELF IN THE MOVIE
- loveandrockets, on 05/12/2008, -0/+27Nah...I miss it too.
- Powermac, on 05/12/2008, -1/+26Cornfields... people keep asking about them.
The story on them: The pollen in the GMO corn in the story of the X-Files is made as a carrier for either 1) the black oil, the plague of the Alien virus or 2) the cure or vaccine for the black oil, meant as a way to fight back against the alien colonists.
Yeah, I'm a nerd. - ncairns, on 05/12/2008, -0/+22Carter's mantra for the show is that 'no one ever really dies'. That was kind of the theme of the series finale with 'dead' characters from throughout the series like Deep Throat and the Lone Gunmen making appearances as 'ghosts'. The entire point of the show can more or less be summed up in one of Mulder's last few lines; "I want to believe that the dead are not lost to us."
Wow, that was pretty geeky. The X-Files rules. That is all. - Shagmire, on 05/12/2008, -3/+29Where's the smoking guy?
- SoapsCum, on 05/12/2008, -1/+24It sent chills down my spine thinking of a time when TV actually had something worth watching. A year ago I watched the entire series over again only to realize this then. A series like this dosn't come around very often, not to mention the cult following. My name is Jim and I'm an "XPhile".
- Aadain, on 05/12/2008, -0/+22He was killed near the end of the series. A missile exploded in his face and the literally showed his body being vaporized, so there isn't going to be any of this "you thought he was dead, but he actually survived/wasn't hit/wasn't even there/etc" crap. As the famous line goes, "He's dead Jim".
- Ninjao, on 05/12/2008, -0/+19When that theme song came... Man it bought back memories of me staying up late to watch X-files when I was 10.. :)
- HigherLogic, on 05/12/2008, -0/+18I came in here to post almost the same thing, except I got goosebumps instead of tears. Can't wait to see this!
- hammerpants, on 05/12/2008, -0/+20Anybody else notice the X from "Fox" is on the screen for a frame after the rest of the vanity card (20th Cent Fox) flashes off?
- cardinalb, on 05/12/2008, -0/+21Excellent they have Billy Connoly in it, a great Scottish comedian (and actor ;-) )
- bicyclethief, on 05/12/2008, -0/+19And it's part lizard, like in V.
- uberAileen, on 05/12/2008, -0/+16so ambiguous! i predict awkward sexual tension that is still going strong after all these years haha
- brokenworlds, on 05/12/2008, -0/+16Awesome, if they make enough money and get enough interest again maybe theyll make a season 10.................a guy can dream
- JazzClutchkick, on 05/12/2008, -0/+13Looks like classic X-Files. I miss this show!
- kolinkoolface2, on 05/12/2008, -0/+14this show was so good because they were on the border of believability and sci-fi
- lex0nyc, on 05/12/2008, -0/+13Awesome. I wonder if they'll ever find Special Agent Dale Cooper. David Lynch should direct one of these.
- SolidSnake24, on 05/12/2008, -1/+12For those who don't have IGN Insider, but want to watch in HD: http://www.sendspace.com/file/xr010q

I'll get dragged to see it regardless of what I think anyway. Hooray for incredibly nerdy friends. - veloscaper, on 05/12/2008, -0/+10we never saw crispy cancer man remains.
- citizenchan, on 05/12/2008, -1/+11Must've pimped the casting director's ride.
- pastasauce, on 05/12/2008, -1/+10You bastard!
- creepydarkwurm, on 05/12/2008, -1/+10It's a sci-fi movie, there's ALWAYS a way to bring someone back. Whether or not it's believable or not is a different story.
- SoupNoZi, on 05/12/2008, -0/+9Movie is going to be great
- mentol, on 05/12/2008, -0/+8July 25 - that means I have exactly 74 days to wait for it.
I want it soooooner. - fletcher008, on 05/12/2008, -0/+7how much of the trailer would you have liked to have seen? have you ever seen the x files before? plot twists are usually in an abundance, so for that im glad it was as short as it was.
- AgmLauncher, on 05/12/2008, -0/+8Scully with any kind of hair = win. She's one good looking 40 year old.
- rockstar1o9, on 05/12/2008, -3/+12Doesn't David Duchovny now look a bit like Mike Myers?
- amidtheblue, on 05/12/2008, -1/+9OH SNAP. I've been waiting for this to happen for six years. I wonder if they continue with the storyline of Mulder+Scully+baby William.
- SupaDawg, on 05/12/2008, -0/+7oooo. This actually looks pretty good...
mind you they have had friggen ages to work on the script.
I'll see it. - Vash265, on 05/12/2008, -0/+7I read once that Carter and Lynch were big fans of each others shows, but that a cross-over wasn't ever going to happen. Props for the Twin Peaks reference though.
- lex0nyc, on 05/12/2008, -4/+11Cancer Man
- Acglaphotis, on 05/12/2008, -0/+7I thought it was Xzibit?
- veloscaper, on 05/12/2008, -0/+7What about the aliens? are we still set for the 2012 take over? if so, then who gives a shat about some 'lil monster of the week.
- FelixdaaHack, on 05/12/2008, -0/+6Yes, yes I can picture him now on Inside the Actors Studio
- TheG2, on 05/12/2008, -0/+6I had no idea they were making a new movie...holy crap excited.
