- wheresmclean, on 10/03/2008, -2/+100Who the hell wouldn't admit to loving "The Goonies?"
I think them's fighting words, if I was at a bar and someone said "F)(@ the Goonies," I'd scream "GOONIES R GOOD ENOUGH!!!!" and start swinging :D - LoveWidescreen, on 10/03/2008, -3/+89Actually, I don't like most of the movies on that list. However, any man who fears announcing from the highest mountain "I LOVE 'THE PRINCESS BRIDE'!!!" does not deserve any right to ever watch that movie again and must have any "Geek" credentials not just removed but ripped off to where blood is drawn. That was a f**king AWESOME movie, and I have no problems at all announcing that!
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
"When Harry Met Sally" is a total classic as well. - Nauru, on 10/04/2008, -0/+46My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
- elemenohpe, on 10/04/2008, -3/+46this list sucks.
- solid12345, on 10/04/2008, -0/+40Wtf, what guy is afraid to admit he likes the Goonies and Beetlejuice? This is a bizzare mish mash of cool pop culture movies and chick flicks, sorry, failure, buried.
- LucasVB, on 10/04/2008, -1/+23INCONCEIVABLE!
- PReitz, on 10/03/2008, -0/+22The Princess Bride and What About Bob were both awesome movies, and I don't care who hears me say that. Most of the others I either haven't seen or am not really much of a fan of.
Good Will Hunting is the only one I can imagine myself admitting to liking in a hushed voice. - Ebeniz, on 10/04/2008, -0/+21I LOVE THE PRINCESS BRIDE
- sadisticmind, on 10/04/2008, -1/+21I LOVE THE PRINCESS BRIDE!!!
- dweeb79, on 10/04/2008, -3/+22Adam: What are your qualifications?
Betelgeuse: Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen the EXORCIST ABOUT A HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SEVEN TIMES, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT... NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU'RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY... NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK? You think I'm qualified?
Yeah he's qualified. LOVE THAT FILM! - Dagreenman, on 10/04/2008, -1/+18this list is *****. EVERYONE loves these movies. i own almost all these movies.
here is an example of a movie you won't admit you love : Moulin Rouge. - Gundabad, on 10/04/2008, -0/+15I don't like half the movies on that list, and love the other half proudly. Crappy article
- cheese0089, on 10/04/2008, -0/+13I am a fan of the Princess Bride and proud to say it
- joncannon, on 10/04/2008, -1/+14Why the hell is Beetlejuice on this list? Michael Keaton ***** owns and it's a movie I would kick back and watch with others and not feel embarrassed about.
- DekarCorvus, on 10/03/2008, -1/+13I love almost all those movies (i've never seen About Bob, or Say anything.
The rest...i'll admit to.
Infact The princess bride is one of my favorite movies!!
I'm dressing up as the dread pirate roberts for halloween! :) That or V from V for Vendetta...haven't decided...
thoughts? - calenerd, on 10/04/2008, -0/+11I loved "Love Actually" and I was man enough to say it to all my friends. Best romantic comedy ever!
- Erodeo, on 10/04/2008, -0/+10What a crappy list. Those are all movies that are celebrated by twenty somethings the world over.
- TheBuz, on 10/04/2008, -0/+10People are ashamed to admit they like the Goonies?!
Buried as inaccurate. - kmesp86, on 10/04/2008, -0/+9STOP SAYING THAT
- pnmoore, on 10/04/2008, -0/+9Inconceivable!
- inactive, on 10/04/2008, -3/+11What the hell? Okay, of the movies on that list, there's none that I've seen that I wouldn't admit to loving. Hell, I don't even understand how Beetlejuice could even be on that list.
- dezweber, on 10/03/2008, -1/+9Not ashamed to admit that I like all of these...however, I see that this is from spike.com so it's targeting guys...in that respect, i want to know how many guys will admit to liking Sense and Sensibility. I have guy friends who like all the others...
- PReitz, on 10/03/2008, -0/+8V may be more recognizable, but someone might mistake you for a Scientology protester :)
- omnithought, on 10/04/2008, -0/+7What, no Brokeback Mountain? Oh..um...I mean....
- GlitchEnzo, on 10/04/2008, -0/+7Go watch The Princess Bride right now! It is my favorite movie!
- NathanielJ, on 10/04/2008, -0/+7Again though, why would anyone not admit to liking Starship Troopers? It has lots of explosions and Neil Patrick Harris. By this list's idea of what makes a "good movie", Starship Troopers is the best thing ever created.
- nublet, on 10/04/2008, -1/+7i don't know about you, but i brag about my love for the goonies.
- ErickStevenson, on 10/04/2008, -0/+6Really? I like most of these movies, I haven't watched 2 out of 10 but thes are good movies and I would admit that I liked those 8 that are on the list. I lOved the goonies.
- NathanielJ, on 10/04/2008, -1/+7Some of the movies I can understand being on this list (Say Anything, Love Actually) despite their awesomeness. However, I don't understand why movies like The Princess Bride or Good Will Hunting are even on here. Just because there are no explosions in them, or what?
- NeonGod, on 10/04/2008, -0/+6Buried as lame and possibly inaccurate. I wouldn't deny admitting I liked those movies.
Bonus lame points: It was Peter Gabriel's song, not Phil Collins in "Say Anything". - Frodoholic, on 10/04/2008, -0/+6Colin Firth did a version of Sense and Sensibility? I think it might be the BBC version of "Pride and Prejudice" you're talking about.
- HaloZero, on 10/04/2008, -0/+6Yeah, seriously what's wrong with liking any of these movies except Sense and Sensibility and Love Actually. Those are kinda girly and I can understand if somebody didn't want to admit liking them. But seriously, what's wrong with What About Bob? Awesome Bill Murray movie
- mtrip, on 10/04/2008, -0/+6I do not think that word means what you think it means.
- passedoutghost, on 10/05/2008, -0/+5I LOVE THE PRINCESS DIARIES!
Oh *****. - DekarCorvus, on 10/03/2008, -1/+6Even better!!!
i just happen to hate scientology!
its win win!
and thinking about it....if i was the dread pirate roberts...people may think i'm zorro without a cape :(
on the other hand...its a good excuse to buy knee high pirate boots! lmao - karmon3, on 10/04/2008, -0/+5Before even reading this I knew Love Actually would be number one.
- wreckosaurus, on 10/04/2008, -0/+5What kind of douche bag is ashamed to admit they like a movie? A couple of those movies are actually my favorites. You either like it or you don't, what's the big deal? ***** tough guy retarded ***** from spike.. and half of those movies actually suck. Buried.
- DephexTwin, on 10/04/2008, -1/+6Then your life has been a waste.
- jbarket, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4Indeed. Of all of these I've seen, Garden State is the only one I didn't like. I've got no problem publicly admitting that Say Anything is my favorite movie.
...and that I own Peter Gabriel's So album and that it rules, heh. - Foenetik, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4these articles from spike are all horrible.
- Chicken2nite, on 10/05/2008, -0/+4"I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that."
"How many of them really know what they want, though? I mean, a lot of them think they have to know, right? But inside they don't really know, so... I don't know ,but I know that I don't know."
Words to live by - dezweber, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4I bet you liked Moulin Rouge, too, didn't ya?
- ligyron, on 10/04/2008, -1/+5My name is Lig and I thought Good Will Hunting was a good movie.
- IndustrialJones, on 10/04/2008, -1/+5Yes :P
- TheSabre, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4I admit it. I love that movie. *hangs head in shame*
- lolwutpear, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4Everyone loves Beetlejuice and The Princess Bride. The Goonies and Good Will Hunting are certainly worth watching once, too.
- TheSabre, on 10/04/2008, -1/+5I disagree. I'm definitely straight and I own Love Actually. The problem is, most Diggers *think* that no straight man owns Love Actually. Most Diggers are also single as well. Here's a tip: girls actually like guys that like those kinds of movies. I'm happily married (I've owned Love Actually before getting married) and I'm not afraid to admit it, I enjoy Love Actually.
- TheSabre, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4Definitely go as V. Everyone goes as the Dread Pirate Roberts. I don't think anyone has dressed up for Halloween as V yet. /s
- adragontattoo, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4Uh I own Goonies, and Beetlejuice and The princess bride. I am pretty sure that I own most of these movies and I have no problem admitting that I like the previous three and Say anything.
