- rdhogan7713, on 01/07/2009, -0/+16I generally like movie trailers more than I like movies.
- Harrison88, on 01/08/2009, -1/+13Where's Cloverfield?
- thedudeknows, on 01/08/2009, -0/+12The trailer for The Fatties was the best part of the movie? That Sir, is *****.
- tdwtomcat, on 01/08/2009, -0/+9Satan's Alley was much funnier than Fatties Fart 2 in my opinion.
- timusca, on 01/08/2009, -0/+9I thought The Fatties was one of the stupider parts of the movie... was I the only one that thought Tropic Thunder was freaking hilarious?
I mean, you never go full retard. - BeShirtHappy, on 01/08/2009, -1/+8They show all the good parts of the movie in the trailers now. If you've seen the trailer, you've seen the movie.
- mjsamps, on 01/08/2009, -0/+6RE: the adware on joblo - it was an isolated issue with our ad broker (who also handles a number of other popular online sites). the ad in question was isolated and removed from the site immediately after the problem was diagnosed. apologies to all who had any difficulties but know that we take this issue very seriously.
- Supernova36, on 01/08/2009, -1/+7"For the most part when I go to the movie theater I am expecting to see great trailers and hoping the movie afterward might entertain me"
What is wrong with you? apple.com/trailers and save money.. - genconkeeper, on 01/08/2009, -2/+8This link is kicking up adware.
- ObiNguyen, on 01/08/2009, -1/+6Dugg for Quantum of Solace, The Dark Knight, and Terminator: Salvation.
- Sherman901, on 01/08/2009, -0/+5Dugg for Pineapple Express. I love that movie.
- WBWB, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4I enjoyed Tropic Thunder too. Yes it had bits of the low-brow Ben Stiller comedic element but the "meta" movie-within-a-movie and actors-playing-actors offered another comedic element that skewered Hollywood and made up for it. Best scene of the movie was this:
Kirk Lazarus: Everybody knows you never go full retard.
Tugg Speedman: What do you mean?
Kirk Lazarus: Check it out. Dustin Hoffman, 'Rain Man,' look retarded, act retarded, not retarded. Counted toothpicks, cheated cards. Autistic, sho'. Not retarded. You know Tom Hanks, 'Forrest Gump.' Slow, yes. Retarded, maybe. Braces on his legs. But he charmed the pants off Nixon and won a ping-pong competition. That ain't retarded. Peter Sellers, 'Being There.' Infantile, yes. Retarded, no. You went full retard, man. Never go full retard. You don't buy that? Ask Sean Penn, 2001, 'I Am Sam.' Remember? Went full retard, went home empty handed... - thejoker86, on 01/08/2009, -1/+5common... 2008 list again? 2008 is so last year!
- YinofYang, on 01/08/2009, -1/+5I'll be honest, I'm a trailer addict.
I think it stems from the fact that the trailer only reveals enough to get the gist of the movie, while watching the whole movie would probably just disappoint me. Although, Hollywood has this annoying habit of revealing so much in their trailers, there's almost no need to see the movie. - JustinTX, on 01/08/2009, -2/+6"Nevertheless, it is becoming more and more apparent that trailer editing is exceeding filmmaking in quality."
Personally, I interpret that as a decline in filmmaking rather than a rise in trailer editing.
"Look at TROPIC THUNDER. The trailer for THE FATTIES: FART 2 was the funniest part of that movie."
I'd like to say that is like taking the Gold at the Special Olympics but I genuinely respect the amount of effort special olympians apply to their sport.
"For the most part when I go to the movie theater I am expecting to see great trailers and hoping the movie afterward might entertain me."
Really? I've always considered cinema to be a form of literary art much like theater and books... which is not to say that Hollywood makes art.
Buried for stupid concept and description. - Mayday408, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4Top 100?
Jesus that's a lot. Thats seems like every movie came out. x5 move then i would see in the average year anywas. - joshf52, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4THAT trailer was the funniest part of the movie.
- Youlovemoney, on 01/08/2009, -1/+5Digg this comment if you agree with me..
"100" trailers? for 2009.. shouldnt this be titled "Every movie trailer for 2009" ??? wtf - abw1987, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3Only 100?
- daviz0, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3ermm the fatties trailer was the worst part of tropic thunder, i saw it in a mockumentary and at that point decided not to watch tropic thunder as i thought the humour was gonna be like that for the entire film, luckily i did end up watching it andd it was not like that and imo Pineapple express had the best trailer last year,, and i agree that 9 should be higher
- grandhi, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3dugg for changing dark knight with joker...
- DiggityDugged, on 01/08/2009, -1/+4Is this really necessary? Buried.
- getjustin, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3What's the point of a Top whatever list if it's ten percent short of the total number of things you're listing? Let's narrow it down a bit...
- atrus123, on 01/08/2009, -1/+4Dugg down for Adware.
- WafflePirate, on 01/08/2009, -2/+5Definitely dugg for The Dark Knight. I don't care what people say, I thought it was an awesome movie. And Heath Ledger playing the joker made me laugh with all the stupid little jokes.
- SasaLukac, on 01/08/2009, -0/+39 should be higher than #35
http://www.apple.com/trailers/focus_features/9/ - dbldn, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Trailers that premiered in 2007 like Cloverfield aren't on this list. It would be on the 2007 list.
- carlwalton, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Most are played through ***** sites like IGN and MTV. Why couldn't he link to Apple trailers or imdb?
- Sunsneezer, on 01/08/2009, -1/+3I absolutely loathe trailers. They all sound the same, they often make good movies look dumb and ruin most of the enjoyment I would get from being suprised
- zosoIV, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2But, that's the point! A stupid ***** movie like that could easily slip into theaters, which is very, very sad.
- antdude, on 01/09/2009, -0/+2Get a better Web browser. :P
- talkingwires, on 01/08/2009, -1/+3Now we're listing ~movie trailers~? What's next, a list of the top ten lists of 2008?
- MattKy, on 01/08/2009, -1/+3WARNING, Do not click on this link, it's loaded with adware! Buried!
- Meekus, on 01/08/2009, -1/+2Very annoying adware I might add.
- enzobot24, on 01/08/2009, -1/+2The movie came out in January 2008.
The trailer is from 2007 - it played in front of Transformers. - Harrison88, on 01/08/2009, -1/+2Yeah, the 18th of January. That's a whole 17 days of 2008 that the trailer was played, plus the days when it was on at the cinema.
- codaflow, on 01/08/2009, -1/+1Verified. It kicked off my AV.
- greendalek, on 01/08/2009, -2/+2Buried for FAR too much adware and unannounced pop-ups. The hell with joblo.com.
- den1309, on 01/09/2009, -1/+0step brothers really make me laugh till i tear!
- jonnyemmanuel, on 01/08/2009, -2/+1test
- mentorwarrior, on 01/09/2009, -1/+0What I like best about trailers is seeing all the new actors in the films. I can't help but wonder where they all studied. A good acting school is worth it’s weight in gold. The key is to find one that caters to your individual needs. Not only do you need the basic tools for auditioning, scene study and the like, but you need a curriculum that works with whatever your schedule may be. Whether you work all day, go to high school or care for your kids, not everyone can study in the traditional way. Another acting program that works this way is Film Connection. http://www.film-connection.com/Acting.html The Film Connection’s acting program is affiliated with Joe Anthony studios and fetures valuable one-on-one mentoring. They are also available to anyone living in the United States and have financial aid assistance.
- inactive, on 01/08/2009, -4/+3Where's Dragonball Evolution? Come on, that was a pretty narly trailer!
