The Simpsons Movie : Trailer 2
youtube.com — There's a new Simpsons Movie trailer in town!
- 1826 diggs
- digg it
- ryanmm, on 10/12/2007, -4/+70They better deliver...this movie has been a long time coming
- primehifi, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12"Oatmeal Enthusiasts"
- ratsoid, on 10/12/2007, -77/+10old. this is not the 2nd trailer, it's the first - just like the one added on november 13, 2006 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnCR3fAVPWs )
innacurate. - neggbird, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23ratsoid-
The second half is different. - Kamisado, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Ratsoid did you actually watch the trailer? The first half is the same, but theres two new scenes in the second half.
- dashiel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+35no those scenes have been around for a while, december 22nd i do believe.
you can see here... http://www.apple.com/trailers/ - michaelkirk, on 10/12/2007, -15/+9I'm not impressed. The TV series is funnier than what I see in the trailers. I hope that the movie is funnier too ryanmm.
- optimo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3here's an example of the original source, the problem is there is no news releases date
http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/thesimpsonsmovie/
followed from from going to http://www.thesimpsons.com
The the trailer has made way transcoded onto youtube shows that it should be a dugg video or video digg. Different section.
And someone has rightfully already done whats proper - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -21/+17The movie doesn't look funny at all so far. But then again, The Simpsons haven't been funny since Season 8. They jumped the shark at the second half of "Who Shot Mr. Burns." Must have been around when Conan O'Brien left as one of the head writers...
- metalgod79, on 10/12/2007, -5/+14I dont know, I think the Tomaco episode was from like season 12, one of the best episodes ever.. TOOOOOOOMAAAAAAAAAAAACOOOOOOOO!
- CornStarch, on 10/12/2007, -7/+13You can' just slap Simpsons on something and expect it to be funny. No one has proved they can write a single funny episode of the Simpsons since season 10, let alone an entire movie.
- sideshowRAHEEM, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hopefully there will be an appearance by my favorite character Sideshow Raheem.
- wonderboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'm really hoping this movie is good, but I always say the show jumped the shark when Phil Hartman was murdered.
- DollaDollaBill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@Elranzer I couldn't agree with you more. The show should have stopped when futurama started. I has been horrible for many years. the writing is horrible and not funny. the sad part is from about season 2 to 8/9 almost every episode was a tv gem. so sad.
- quicklunarcop, on 10/12/2007, -95/+5Should have been submitted in the videos section. Dugg down.
- charbarred, on 10/12/2007, -6/+52And people ask themselves why digg is dumbing down...could it be because of users like you? Is it not about a movie? Can it not actually be in the movies section then? *****, I just wasted a whole minute on you...
- misterpony, on 10/12/2007, -48/+5Charbarred, you're my "Friend," but he's right. Why have a Videos section if people don't use it? Reporting as Wrong Topic.
- charbarred, on 10/12/2007, -6/+47Sorry but I don't believe that if something is in video format it necessarily has to be in the videos section.
- lhnz, on 10/12/2007, -32/+5Use a bit of common sense now, charbarred. If that was the case then what would the video section be for.
You got it wrong. Admit this and move on. Don't make a fuss. - appletalk, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9What if it's news in video format?
In this case, it's the "new" Simpsons trailer, it's something being announced, it does qualify for news, not for the video section. - robdiggity, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13Really, this is brilliant - this is like digging down the potential diabetes cure story in the NYT, posted in a health/medicine category, for not being posted in a text/newsprint category.
No one cares about the medium by which the particular content is delivered - the point is what is the story about. - optimo, on 10/12/2007, -8/+9Videos should go in the video section. It's not about it being a section so much as a way to organize and differentiate website links and other forms of online media.
Similarly, the dugg photos on flickr could have a `photos` section. This would make sense, but usually a photo is most times accompanying a description or website. Sometimes a bad photo is not worth 1000 words.
The Simposons trailer dugg herein is not a piece of news. Movie news would be something like `FOX releases new trailer for Simpsons movie` and link to the press release, which would perhaps contain a link to the trailer. Or rightfully so, a digger would leave a comment as to where the trailer could be viewed or downloaded. - lhnz, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2It appears "digg" has spoken and I appear to be wrong about videos going in the video section.
What exactly are the rules?
If I really like a video or can write a spiel that makes out a video to actually be a news release can I post any video in the news section. This is quite a nice idea. Maybe I should start uploading some skateboarders breaking their legs with headlines like: "BREAKING NEWS SKATEBOARDER BREAKS LEG - JAN 7TH". - illegalcortex, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5@lhnz
No, actually you got it right. You shouldn't read too much into the score on your comment.
The system is a little faulty, but it's new so give it time. There should really just be a tag that says "this is a video", which wouldn't use it's own list of topics as the system does now. And maybe one for "this is audio". The default tag would be "this is html". Personally, I like having separate sections depending on the medium of the broadcast. They just need to have a setting in the your profile that determines if you want video and audio to get it's own section or if you want it all meshed together like it used to be. - Joshuarr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5@lhnz
Personally, I think the rules are don't be a *****.
- daload, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3cant wait
- thumbup, on 10/12/2007, -6/+42I get the feeling that this movie will be massively overhyped and people will be dissapointed.
- lhnz, on 10/12/2007, -7/+21And yet it will still be good, but loads of people will go on about how it was so "over rated by the public" and act all snobbily about their taste in movies. yes?
- cybersnafu, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8I'm already disappointed. I wanted the ***** bunny. ***** BUNNY, DAMN YOU!
- LavaHot, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4hey, if you want to do that with a bunny, that's fine, but don't bring that smut onto digg, you sissy.
- daridave, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Overhyped? yes. But bad? Even the very first, ugly-looking Simpsons episode is still great.
Unless they really sleep on the job, it can't go wrong. - duddles, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12I don't want to oversell it - but it's going to be better than ten Super Bowls!
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Let's just hope the plot synopsis doesn't somehow include "...and now Homer must save his family..."
- navster15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I suppose it's irrelevant how bad or good the movie is. I've been watching The Simpsons for as long as I can remember, and even though I will say that the latest episodes are god awful, I know that I have suckled on Matt Groening's teat long enough that I will have to see this movie. I may not enjoy it, but I've invested far too much in this show to not see the movie.
- saucedmike, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0I already saw this trailer in theaters. I forget for which movie...
- professorChaos, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Jackass 2
nm i didnt watch the whole thing great very funny i cant wait
- professorChaos, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Jackass 2
- CiXeL, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5too little too late
- Blackmane, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9The second movie trailer has been out ages and people are only starting to digg it. Have i missed something?
- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5No, you missed nothing, its all the people who are digging this who have.
Honestly though, check out higher quality version of this trailer here:
http://www.digg.com/movies/New_Simpsons_Trailer_released_today
- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5No, you missed nothing, its all the people who are digging this who have.
- crapol, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2I think it is in the right section man
- TheKorn2, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5Same lame ass attempt at a trailer, filling a minute of footage with FOUR SECONDS of content. Gee, are they trying subliminally trying to tell us that we *should* steal this movie?
- cardyology, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6@thekorn2
four seconds of funny ass footage. four seconds or not, it was funny. - BasouKazuma, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5The comedy seems just as bad as any of the recent Simpson's episodes. I was expecting more. Hopefully they're saving all the good stuff for when the movie is released.
- caddoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It sucks though when trailers give the best bits of the movie away, a really good example is bruce almighty.
- cardyology, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6@thekorn2
- cardyology, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15come on guys, be a bit more positive! who cares which section its in...its the simpsons movie. this series has totally gone towards shaping our lives in some small way, so we should all be totally excited. even if its crap, it wont reflect badly on the simpsons empire, cos like i said...its the simpsons man.
- optikalblitz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@cardyology,
couldn't agree more. i was nervous at first..and doubtful that they could pull it off. but even if the movie isn't the funniest thing i've ever seen, i'm going to stand behind it. the satirical nature of this cartoon is a characteristic that other animated series have failed to so maturely and cleverly implement! so i feel at ease; groening & co. must have somethin up their collective sleeve for us.
- optikalblitz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@cardyology,
- KlayBorg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I really really hope they can get back some of their origional flair, rather than the slapstick injury based "humor" that they have shown in both trailers (1st trailer:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnCR3fAVPWs&mode=related&search=)
- derphilipp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yes, I really feel sorry for Homer - the "accidents" happening to Homer are getting cruel more and more over the time.
Like the time he played the Panda for Mr. Burns - poor Homer...
Of course there were always accidents happening to Homer but they mostly were very comic-style or quite harmless....
I beg to stop of the abuse of Homers!
- derphilipp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yes, I really feel sorry for Homer - the "accidents" happening to Homer are getting cruel more and more over the time.

[reply]- ChillyEli, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Look at you go. Twice in one post.
You even copied the reply button. Cool. - Agret, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow you even copied the [reply] button.
How are you going to watch a screener of an unfinished movie? You fail. Digg him down, spamwhorez suck. - traxent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What an idiot.
- ChillyEli, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Look at you go. Twice in one post.
- brianbennett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I sure hope those aren't the 'best bits.'
- wirah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3They have so much to live up to!
I hope it doesn't flop.
Theyre gona need a SERIOUS story.
Homer has to die to make this a success !- lhnz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Homer has to die to make this a success!"
Hahahahaha. That's the funniest thing I have read for weeks.
- lhnz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Homer has to die to make this a success!"
- geoffreyireland, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5Looks like the typical modern Homer we have all learnt to hate.
This movie is going to make box office millions but real fans will hate it,
Its going to suck. - m3mn0n, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Post things in the right topic.
This is a video, and thus should be in the "Videos" section.
Buried.- darkstar949, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5This is also a movie trailer, ergo, it can go in either section.
- drthipp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5reminds me of the time homer hammers a drill into a camera.
"Lisa please. I sacrificed a very expensive camera to get some quiet time." - OlnyGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I can't wait for this movie. Being a die hard Simpsons fan most of my life, I really wish that I won't be disappointed.

download and watch or burn to dvd takes about 5 minutes or watch direct from the website- profOblivion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7So let's get this straight. You got dugg down once and accused of spamming. So you copy, paste and post again in the same thread, copying the reply button as well. People point out your screw-up, so you post a THIRD time in the same thread?
If I paid you to spam for me I'd sure as hell hope you could do a better job than this. Go away.
- profOblivion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7So let's get this straight. You got dugg down once and accused of spamming. So you copy, paste and post again in the same thread, copying the reply button as well. People point out your screw-up, so you post a THIRD time in the same thread?
- KathyAlbrecht, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Does anyone have the link to the leaked clips, those were ***** hilarious, the trailers don't do those clips justice
- Markpdotcom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Anyone got a direct download to the HD movie, as I can't seem to download it here?
- MrSarcasm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Steady.... Steeeaaaady....
- dreimanis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1lol
- fantasmacanino, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2This movie is gonna suck. They should have made one during the "golden years" of the show (3rd through 8th season), not now. Does anyone actually find funny the show right now? It's so stupid.
- emehrkay, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3the simpsons hasnt been funny sinc 98
- krakkinem, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2This trailer appeared on apple.com 2 weeks ago.
That being said, it's not even funny! I fear for the rest of the movie... - GuruKid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It will be weird watching simpsons for more than half hour of story. My guess is they'll do what they normally do: connect the beginning and end with some plot but have the middle part be some completely different thing.
Either way, it's going to be awesome and i'm definitely going to go watch it. - CornStarch, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2error
- venicerocco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think you mean "Doh!"
- Madmod, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1this is not new not even the 2nd half is old i saw it weeks ago how did this make the front page.
- f4nt0m4s, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The Simpsons have been hit or miss the last few years, with a big emphasis on the miss part. But with any luck the movie will be as entertaining as some of the better episodes...
- h00paj00, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wasn't this trailer shown on TV back in September 2006?
nevermind... it's just the same 3d bunny intro as before. different trailer after Moe - markdr123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3All I've seen so far from this movie is slapstick...none of the trademark intelligence I've come to love The Simpsons for.
- fantasmacanino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Those are my thoughts exactly. Whatever happened to the lovable idiot that once was Homer? Now he's just an idiot.
- DrewClayton, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i would agree, but the image of him with the thumb over the nail is pretty funny
- darkstar949, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Or, they are trying to get a laugh from the audience viewing the trailer while keeping the plot quiet until the movie comes out.
Speaking of plot, what is the plot for the movie?
- bmacleod, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0this is far from new, I saw it on apple.com/trailers a couple of weeks ago.
- dadiggdog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4im not sure whether it is that the series has become less funny as the seasons have passed by, but still with inertia, or its just that ive grown older and lost sense of humor. im afraid it will be too difficult for the film to match the standard of the series. i remember hilarious episodes as "the call of the simpsons" and another one called "you only move twice" where homer works for that terrorist guy of the globex company. or that one where bart sells his soul to milhouse. those were good times...but theres no chance i will miss the film anyway
will give it a try : )
excellent !!!
might be a good idea to actually see the best episodes screened on the cinema :) - Derter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2''new''?
- Twist96, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Guys, come on, it wasn't exactly the biggest joke set-up. Unlike shows like Family Guy, most of the jokes have something to with the plot. Certain jokes could reveal plot elements. You could also say that maybe the writers have had writer's block in the last few shows, in prep for this movie.
- slickrick2k1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All of the old school, good writers have returned to do the movie. The series has been better of late, but the guys w/the control over the movie are the og's.
- aragami, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"one film dares to be ugly..."
apart from south park, wallace and gromit, family guy, and corpse bride which were all no cgi animation and were "ugly" in the way they're using the word - Araxen, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Family Guy > Futurama > The Simpsons
- Twist96, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I THINK NOT.
South Park > Simpsons > Futurama > American Dad > Family Guy
- Twist96, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I THINK NOT.
- ajcbrooklyn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DISCO STU DON'T ADVERTISE!!
- directedition, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, there are many ways to say "the Simpsons have lost their edge", but this trailer says it best.
- randomlande, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i saw this over a month ago, not really new
- mpancha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Someone else kinda already saidit, but with too much of an explanation, here's a link to all the trailers on apple's trailers site:
http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/thesimpsonsmovie/
Its got the teaser and both current trailers. Better quality than a youtube video as well. - Vrevolution, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What da *****, this trailer is not new, it been out for like weeks now
- covindesign, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Simpsons are dead not funny it is the family matters of today and back then.

***** this movie its gonna be as bad as the rugrats movie
the only reason sponge bob did well was cause humans still induldge in acid
