- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+26Reminds me of the Terrace and Philip: Asses of Fire 2 trailer on South Park.
The kids were waiting weeks to see the trailer, and all it shows was their two names float across the screen and say the movie's title. The kids were all "WOW!!!" - powerbook86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21It's not on the FOX servers or anywhere else online. I ripped it from the live TV broadcast. So I'm lame for giving everyone a teaser trailer before FOX does? ...yeah ok
- kimos, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21That wasn't a trailer, it was a teaser. Only a few seconds long, and says nothing about the film other than that it will exist and has a release date over a year away...
- Mongoose, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18I saw Ice Age 2 yesterday and this isn't really a trailer... More like a teaser ad.

I don't know, The Simpsons hasn't been funny for a while, but I still have hope. Maybe this is just what they need to get things going again - msprout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10The Family Guy Movie DVD wasn't originally made as a movie - it was a three part episode set to air in the 4th season, but I guess somebody at FOX decided that they could make a heavier profit if they charge people $20 - $30 to see 'em.
- Darrelc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14Crap, too late to edit. anyway heres a YSI link

- valan, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13"The ____ _____ Movie" always makes for the worst title ever
- TopherT, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13Yeah for the first 6 seasons
Try comparing a recent episode with something from the middle of the series. They canned some great writers including John Stewart. - msprout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Apparently, they're assembling a dream team of former simpsons writers to do the movie. So I have faith that it'll be golden.
- ilikedginger, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9And what expectations are those? At this point, it seems like most people are expecting the worst.
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Older Simpsons (pre-season 7) was funnier than Family Guy. But the Simpsons jumped the shark after the Who Shot Mr. Burns plot. It's been downhill ever since. (They do not have the same writers as they use to, that's why).
- Jeffrey903, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6As far as I know, it's not on the fox servers.
- UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I agree but I watched last week's episode and the one before that and I was completely surprised that I laughed my ass off!! I love season 1-8 or 10, but I had stopped watching the show because it was too painful to watch.
I'm torrenting tonight's ep as week speak, just to see if they keep me laughing. - Eidola, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I have to agree that Ricky Gervis did a fantasitc job writing last weeks episode, especially when compared to the episodes of the last number of seasons.
I hope he writes more, and not necessarily with his "David Brent" character in the show, although he was pretty darn funny in the episode. - DEFSMAC, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7summer 2007: simpsons movie july 2 and transformers movie july 4. now there is a weekend.
- powerbook86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Wait a second...Ok I've examined the link from www.movie-list.com, and downloaded the file, compared theme frame by frame. They stole it from me! I mean come on the file is named the same, is the exact length, used the exact same compression format and style...even the compression artifacts are there! And how do I know it's mine? Well because there is a small black border around it, this is a bad habit of my DV to Analog converter. Also I missed the first second of the trailer actually but, these are the same length exactly.
How dare you accuse me of stealing when I am the one who has been robbed. - farfromsubtl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Exactly, this is a teaser, not a trailer.
- Rio517, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It's also up on YouTube now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUYvGWOyAK4

. . .
Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. - patrickmcguire, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9$20 says you don't know your simpsons, and/or you're retarded.
the simpsons has a fabulous writing crew. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Not surprising that there are so many "The Simpsons haven't been funny in years" comments. You Digg haters never let me down. Just talking out of your collective cyber-asses simply to be heard. Only way you'd know that 'The Simpsons haven't been funny in years' would be if you have still been watching it all these years...
Would you like some tea with your hypocrite sandwich? - deff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4another mirror
http://videos.fearlessenemy.com/simpsons-movie-trailer.mov - powerbook86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I didn't steal crap. I plugged my PowerBook up to the AV out of my cable box with my digital converter when it was shown on TV. Maybe if you've read some these comments you would of understood that. I don't care if they had it first, the file was digitally recorded by me and I didn't copy it, or take it from anyone else. If I would of seen it at that site I would of posted a link to it...thus saving me my exceeded bandwidth problems and possible fees. I've been dugg...and it hurts!
- ggko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"simpsons-movie-trailer.mov" isn't exactly a unique filename. Fortunately though, that isn't the stronger point of your argument.
My suggestion, everybody grab it from movie-list, use up their bandwidth. >;) - 12340987, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5thankyou powerbook86. I knew someone would do it for me eventually :)
- defjuan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5last weeks episode was funny because it was written by ricky gervais
- funk49, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Well, I for one am hoping they get Conan O'Brien on board for it. Some of the most warped ***** that they ever released was written by him.
- sych0, on 10/12/2007, -6/+9hopefully it wont be as bad as tonights episode was :(
- crazyman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5The 'excellent' at the end of the preview made this preview.
- levyjl1988, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Is this the Simpsons Movie to end it all? Or are they going to continue the tv series after they finished the movie? hmmm.
- Aslan72, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Matt G. did say that when he sensed the show was nearing the end of it's run he was planning to do a movie. I wonder if this is that nail in the coffin?
--pete - meekar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3the Superman thing was only a gimick for the teaser, it's been done before... (and with decent movies, mind you -- so it's not exactly a warning sign)
also, don't you dare diss 2-D!!! - knellotron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Maybe they'll kill everyone off at the end of the movie.
(me = bitter) - mancat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Those of you saying Simpsons has sucked in recent years are correct. Fortunately, the writing staff of the movie includes only the "veteran" writing crew. Groening and Brooks are the two main script writers, with Simon adding some additional material to the mix.
Hopefully we'll see a lot of classic Simpsons plot elements and humor, rather than the bland slapstick that has comprised the show in the past few years. - powerbook86, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Well it's on my .Mac server which has 10gb of bandwidth...it SHOULD be ok....the keyword is should haha
I wish it was widescreen too, FOX did the same thing with the Episode III trailer...heh - Pureeviljester, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3True worst title, but has no effect on the movie.
- meekar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5wow, that was quick -- thanks!
too bad it's not the widescreen version of the trailer, but eh, I can deal - Nerfdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2tenacious: how can you condemn South Park for "pushing the envelope", and then praise Drawn Together? DT is just one shock gag after another.
on topic: i can't wait for this movie. - Pureeviljester, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3They call those "pre-trailers", teasers. Because they tease you... =(
- imdwalrus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3What happened to having faith in a product until we see it realized?
Wait...this is the internet. Never mind. >_>
In all seriousness, though, there's still a chance that the movie could be good. The TV show has been a letdown for the past few seasons, but considering how important the series is to Fox, I don't think they'd risk releasing a crappy movie and watching the series get dragged even further into the mud. - antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5*Cough* Jump the shark *cough*
