- Kingal, on 11/01/2009, -1/+15So bad it's good. With rifftrax, even better.
- fishbeef33, on 11/02/2009, -0/+10I did naaht hit her, I did NAAHT.
- therayven, on 11/02/2009, -0/+8I thought Plan 9 was the "Citizen Kane of bad movies"? Could it really be that much worse/funnier than the Ed Wood masterpiece?
- VanillaIcee, on 11/02/2009, -0/+8Anyway, how is your sex life?
- monodelasno, on 11/02/2009, -1/+8Hello doggie
- jasoj2, on 11/02/2009, -0/+6Ahh, Rifftrax. It makes any movie incredibly delicious.
- Crashwithuhk, on 11/02/2009, -0/+6I don't think Plan 9 has been the worst for a while now. Even before The Room, Manos: The Hands of Fate took the title of worst film ever from Ed Wood.
- thebreach, on 11/02/2009, -0/+6What can I say, everyone loves a good trainwreck. I guess it is cool that The Room is getting "Plan 9ed" as one of those cinematic steamers that is just so bad you have to see it.
Though to stand there as the director and try to pass it off as "the critic just didnt get it" is a douchey thing to do. Just admit that it is a terrible film and be happy people are paying to see it because it is so jaw dropingly terrible - monodelasno, on 11/02/2009, -0/+5Do yourself a favor and purchase the RiffTrax version.
- ShadyCroquet, on 11/02/2009, -0/+5Oh, hi Mahrk!

- scrumtrallecent, on 11/02/2009, -0/+4You can all just leave these stupid comments in your pockets.
- atlasdugged, on 11/01/2009, -2/+6there is no accounting for taste
- calmanny, on 11/02/2009, -0/+4Agreed. Plan 9 is perfectly watchable.
Manos is the worst movie I've seen, followed closely by "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies," which has some of the worst cinematography I've seen---and it's by an Oscar-winning cinematographer. - tjdoom, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3I don't think this site knows what trolling means.
- candre23, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3Yes. The Room is worse and funnier.
- monodelasno, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3Picks nose
- 0tis, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3Douchey, yet somehow adding to the hilarity (*loads up on plastic spoons*)
- hasslinthehoff, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3The real question is, is it worse than Manos: The Hands of Fate?

makes me want to see it now. - candre23, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2I, for one, believe him. I just don't see how anybody who was intelligent enough to raise the money required to make this movie COULDN'T look at the finished product and know it was hilariously bad. Sure, some people are naturally oblivious, but anybody stupid enough to think this movie was actually good would have died long ago. It's simply not possible for someone so out of touch with reality to survive long enough to make $7 million and produce a movie.
- Gill850, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2long live Troll 2
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/02/2009, -3/+5This movie is bad and all, but I don't think it can top "Plan 9"
I mean, they used hubcaps for flying saucers... - muteSirens, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2Wiseau definitely made this bad on purpose.
just look at his appearance on "Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!"

Clip From "The Room" in the same episode
http://www.adultswim.com/video/?episodeID=8a250595 ... - zephc, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2Also, this year for April Fools, Adult Swim showed it in its entirety (nudity blurred). I remember thinking "Wow, this is bad, i hope it doesn't last more than half an hour"
Of course, with commercials, it lasted two hours, and my morbid curiosity kept me tuned in - schavira, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2No, the Room is pretty terrible, and I've seen both.

- monodelasno, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1Let's play football in the alley
- rebrad, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1You keep telling yourself a story long enough you might even believe it. Crap Spam.
- 8880415, on 11/03/2009, -0/+0Worse than "The Apple"?
Wow, now I HAVE to see it. - kernel16, on 11/02/2009, -2/+1The worst movie ever made was Druids (Vercingétorix): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0199481/
Staring the dude who plays Highlander. - BrandonJM, on 11/01/2009, -5/+4I need to see this.
- odetonarwhal, on 11/02/2009, -3/+1This makes me so happy. I've been going to The Room here in LA for about 2 years. Tommy's gotten the cover of nearly every news sources in America this year.
He knows he's not taken seriously. He's actually a very sweet and (if you can believe it) smart guy. He pulls the gimmick really well at q and a's before the screenings. He's well aware that he is NAHT taken seriously.
I'm so happy for his success. What a brilliant artist!
Yours,
Tommy's Facebook wife. - skztr, on 11/02/2009, -5/+2I thought Citizen Kane was the Citizen Kane of bad films
- SunCrushr, on 11/02/2009, -5/+2I thought Citizen Kane was the Citizen Kane of bad movies... Sorry, was never really a fan.
- HeDiggMe, on 11/02/2009, -7/+1Damn, I really wanted SoaP to take that distinction
- PeppermintPig, on 11/02/2009, -12/+2I've seen this one twice. To think this movie was intentionally made to be bad.. and Wiseau is considering more projects along this line.
Every weekend I get together with friends to riff bad movies via shoutcast tv stream. We watched a semi-sanitized version of The Room which cut out the sex scene stuff (which was actually somewhat of a relief). We might have an IRC transcript of the riffing if anyone's interested in comparing notes with the Rifftrax one.
My Wiseau impression skill is about an 8 out of 10 at this point. Don't touch me mutherfarker!
