- DeadFox1, on 07/26/2008, -4/+236Do teenagers these days even know about Tron? This is HUGE. Welcome to 1982 redux.
- klitzbtc, on 07/26/2008, -9/+237What is this, a trailer for ants?!
- Foliot, on 07/26/2008, -2/+117The trailer has to be at least... three times bigger than this!
- papabean, on 07/26/2008, -4/+108Disbelief washes over me as I couldn't help but get the shakes when watching this. Please, for the love of all that's holy, don't screw this one up. My childhood memories have already suffered enough at the hands of a greedy Hollywood.

- yokozuka, on 07/26/2008, -0/+50I don't know about teenagers, but I'm 35 and this movie and War Games got me into technology. Can't wait to see it.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -0/+49I hope they bring back Ram. When me and my friends used to play Tron outside, they used to make me be Ram so they could pummel me with Frisbees and kill me. I want retribution!!!!
- timdorr, on 07/26/2008, -0/+46They've switched from int's to float's!
- Lendon2020, on 07/26/2008, -0/+43*gone to re-install Tron 2.0*

- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -0/+37That gave me chills, even with the sh*tty video. Jeff Bridges is back, awesome!
- drethedog, on 07/26/2008, -1/+35Oh Tron, getting the geeks goosebumps since early 80's....
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -1/+34As the article says: George Lucas is not involved.
Your memories are a little safer now. - Ramble, on 07/26/2008, -2/+34A thousand nerds just orgasmed.
Including me. - Tyrghast, on 07/26/2008, -2/+32I'm 19 and Tron was what my parents had me watch instead of Sesame Street or Barney. I love that movie so much.
- T8erT0T, on 07/26/2008, -1/+31"You down with M-C-P?!"
"Yeah! You, know, me!" - eboy, on 07/26/2008, -0/+29Holy *****... another reason to stick around.
- Fixthemedia, on 07/26/2008, -3/+31I will see it as long as Shia LaBeouf is not involved.
- hazard99, on 07/26/2008, -0/+28He's absolutely right........
- rz8472, on 07/26/2008, -0/+24Needs Bruce Boxleitner.
- BitKid, on 07/26/2008, -2/+26I'm waiting for Flight of the Navigator 2.
- BestJaxx, on 07/26/2008, -0/+20I believe the term is "nerdgasm".
- Tenlow, on 07/26/2008, -0/+19It really tied the room together.
- banmaster, on 07/26/2008, -0/+18I want your parents!!
- Radan, on 07/27/2008, -1/+19Yeah like The Dark Knight, Aliens or LOTR: The Two Towers.
- Tyrghast, on 07/26/2008, -6/+24Unfortunately you don't banmaster. They have good taste in movies but they're ridiculous hyper-christian zealots who heap damnation on me any time I don't go to church with them.
- Briii, on 07/26/2008, -3/+20yeah im 15 and i watched seen it and im excited about this too :)
- cbergstrom, on 07/26/2008, -0/+16I'm 30, and ditto... this and WarGames and the 3000 times watching of each got me into tech... started programming when I was little and imagining Tron and Flynn running through the grid to access my programs. The password on all my early programs was "Joshua". Ah, memories.
- inactive, on 07/27/2008, -0/+16I don't think I'm alone here when I say, ***** the teenagers. Every movie now tries too hard to appeal to 16 year olds and it ruins the movie. Transformers was good, but could have been so much better if they would have aimed it at the people that actually grew up loving the characters than trying to be too hip. For those of us that grew up in the 80's, we deserve this movie to be for us, and please leave out all the 1337 crap and no need for a love story of any kind. You see what happened to Indiana Jones and Star Wars when they try to bring in the kiddies. Lets hope this new Tron and even the new Star Trek will remember the people that actually enjoy the movies and to hell with the kids.
- badfrog, on 07/26/2008, -1/+17Don't forget The Last Starfighter!
- StrangeFamous, on 07/26/2008, -0/+15Tron is basically the most formative movie of my childhood. I rented Tron, played Super Mario Bros for the first time, and was never the same again...
Jeff Bridges is Flynn... that's all I need to know at this point. - anagoge, on 07/26/2008, -3/+18I think I'm going to wait until I can watch it in something other than crappyovision. :)
- LucasVB, on 07/26/2008, -3/+17"Zee"
- shadowman99, on 07/26/2008, -1/+15In light of this awesome event I'll be playing GLTron. - GLtron.org

See you one the grid. - inactive, on 07/26/2008, -1/+15I like the free form cycling. You know, software upgrades! :-)
It looks absolutely lickable. - innocentsinner, on 07/26/2008, -0/+12For many, only what they've seen in Kingdom Hearts II
- klick37, on 07/26/2008, -0/+12I came.
- tasithoughts, on 07/26/2008, -2/+14Wow!
- yaddayaddayoda, on 07/26/2008, -0/+12The amazing part is that this was a total surprise. Nobody knew it was coming. The audience lost it when the light cycle materialized into place... and again when the "2" flickered into existence at the end. I would have loved to have been there!
- badfrog, on 07/26/2008, -3/+14My pants are wet.
I also own a Tron arcade machine. - yaryarhumphump, on 07/26/2008, -0/+11and me
- motivatedguy, on 07/26/2008, -1/+12I wish someone had gotten the Wolverine footage but Tron 2 looks bad-ass!!
- celotil, on 07/27/2008, -0/+10Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to go to your nearest video store and rent Tron.
It is one of the iconic computer movies of the 80's, but unlike many said movies today, it is actually good.
When computer games rose into prominence and the mainstream got wind of such things like global networking and the idea that not only people but computers - personal computers like the BBC Micro, Commodore 64, and Lightman's IMSAI - could call each other cross-country, or around the globe, BUT nearly nobody in the mainstream really knew how it worked, we got creative gems such as Tron and WarGames, another movie to watch if you haven't seen it.
And, because said personal computers were actually a little slow compared to their onscreen counterparts, we were lavished with STORY LINES, and not just fancy CGI effects - there are actually only 15 minutes of rendered CGI in Tron, and that took 1.5 years to render, even though most of the story is set inside a computerised world.
The keyword was, along with all that bad hair and bad fashion, Creativity. -
