- tsunamisteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9The film has fallen out of copyright so share away!
- Alegis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Be sure to select 'smooth video' in google video, in bottom right corner.
A feature often overlooked.
I love these old movies. Time to check out plan 9 from outer space. - wurzelgummage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Apparently, the film was always illegal due to being an unauthorized adaptation! It's only due to olde fashioned "pirates" hoarding copies since 1925 that any print of it exists.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?
Remember the episode of the popular 90's Nickelodeon show that concentrated on the kids in the old theater and Nosferatu comes alive and comes out of the movie screen and kills some people???? - Brightside, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"Then who was flickering the lights?"
"Nosferatu!" - itsawebsite22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I hate the resolution on Google Videos, thanks for the downloads.
- CanceledCzech, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Oh, I miss Spongebob Squarepants....
- Pegritz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nosferatu is probably the ONLY accurate portrayal of a vampire ever in the history of the film. Although such films as Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, The Lost Boys, and 'Salem's Lot are all superb films, the vampires they depict are entirely contemporary, 20th-Century Hollywood creations. The vampires of Eastern European and Greek origin are all grotesque, shriveled, vicious reanimated corpses that spread all manner of diseases, feed on anything they can get their hands on, and are about as "romantic" as smelly ol' zombies!
- paulrenegar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Awesome link. Thanks!
For those who enjoyed this film, they might want to check out the more recent movie (from 2000), "Shadow of the Vampire," starring John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe.
The movie is a fictionalized account of the making of the Nosferatu, directed by F.W. Murnau. The story takes place in 1922 in Eastern Europe. - stonebear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Vampyr (German with English subtitles 1932)

Mark of Zorro was the transition between Douglas Fairbanks' early career as a brash all-American hero and the lavish 1920s costume adventures.

Love this movie, but you should check out Werner Herzog's remake from 1978 - MrDarkSim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dugg for all the classic movie links. This is what makes this place so great!
- bakagaigin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://www.torrentspy.com/torrent/485468/Metropolis_1927 is the one I got a few weeks ago, it looks great. I'm not sure if this is the most recent version (for there might be several), but there are a few scenes where the video gets super grainy and messed up, so I imagine those are the "recovered" scenes.
- fightzero01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2civdis24 sucks
- artman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Also check out "Shadow of the Vampire" with Willem Dafoe (as Max Shrek). A creepy fictional account of the making of "Nosferatu".
http://imdb.com/title/tt0189998/ - thegreatsam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Doesn't the res of google videos depend on whats uploaded? Or do they automagically lower the res on everything?
- rhesuspieces00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If someone knows a link for a good version of Fritz Lang's Metropolis (preferably the "restored authorized edition") please link away!
- Tiak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I was intensly excited when I saw good ol' plan 9 in the related video section.
- jamkablam, on 03/03/2008, -0/+1i love how they shot that carriage scene driving fast in the white forest. they made it white by turning the film in negative. and the carriage and the clothes of the coach had to be completely white when they shot it so that when they turn the film into negative, they are all black, while the forest is white.
- Ignignokt01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You can't get any more artsy and wierdly eccentric than the guy who starred in this movie. What was his name?
- bakagaigin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1HOLY CRAP I remember being fascinated by this as a kid, I had completely forgotten about it, This is great!
- Supertrout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11922 and this movie still is scarier than some of today's movies. I always used to think of that spooky dude around Halloween as a kid.
Now I just think of my ex-wife around Halloween. - mojo8472, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Looks like someone was searching for Eve-Online videos :P
- undertg56, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There is now a torrent set up on the official BitTorrent website for this.

http://www.bittorrent.com/users/cult/ - arTech, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1just give me my PLAN 9 and NOSFERATU. Two classics on the same page? Priceless
- myshoeshurt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Love this film. I just saw it with a full symphony playing the original score (which was destroyed in a fire in the '30s... but restored afterward) live! It was really intense. I also reccommend "Shadow of the Vampire".

- theehman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you really want to see something rare and cool, go to Torrentspy and download a copy of the 1910 silent classic "Frankenstein" by Thomas Edison's film studios. Long thought lost, it's now available for download. It's about 15 minutes long. Check out:
