- RapidDave, on 08/14/2008, -3/+17This trailer just falls apart 7 seconds in. There is just too much confusing dialog for a trailer.
- Kakemonstere, on 08/14/2008, -0/+14Dude, dont worry. Leo dies in the end of every movie!
- dema, on 08/14/2008, -4/+17> The Next Great Spy Movie?
No. - ByteGuerilla, on 08/14/2008, -0/+12This one, on the other hand, said far too much. It looks like it could be a good film, but they really didn't need to show me the whole ***** movie. It would have been nice to not be expecting DiCaprio's character to threaten to quit. It would have been nice not to be shown every ***** time something blows up so that I would actually not be expecting some of them. It would have been nice for the movie to tell me most of the story, instead of the trailer trying to make it obsolete.
It's a spy film, in the Middle East, where a CIA operative comes up with a plan and has to convince someone higher up to back him. He doubts his CIA backer, and there's a pervasive issue of trust throughout the film. Chuck in a couple of varied action scenes, and there's your trailer. That's all they needed to tell me. Trailers these days give far too much away. - ben0, on 08/14/2008, -3/+14Trailer didn't sell the film for me
- Jonmad17, on 08/14/2008, -1/+11Want to see an amazing trailer? Watch the trailer for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button".
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -2/+11Bourne > Body Of Lies
- cgruber, on 08/14/2008, -0/+8Seriously.. does he have the record for an A list actor that dies in movies?
Quick and the Dead
Romeo + Juliet
Titanic
The Departed
Blood Diamond
Total Ecilipse - Krysis, on 08/14/2008, -1/+8Every time I see this trailer, I can't help but to think how much Russell Crowe looks like Beau Bridges.
- Rizzler, on 08/14/2008, -0/+7You try to bash it, but so far you're the only thing selling me on this movie. Kudos
- roessnakhan, on 08/28/2008, -3/+7MUCH better than the trailer attached to TDK. The one with TDK said nothing what the movie was about besides it having Crowe and DiCaprio.
- BXRWXR, on 08/14/2008, -0/+4I guess it must be because I'm still new. But honestly, what is the pint of that, huh?
Really. You're just going to get the crap buried out of you. - BXRWXR, on 08/14/2008, -1/+4For some reason, it's not working for me.
- deeboe, on 08/14/2008, -0/+3Same way I got my wife pregnant. So my kid is a spy?!
- Suzilla, on 08/14/2008, -0/+3The Crepes of Wrath
- GiJoeBob, on 08/14/2008, -0/+3Ridley, don't let me down.
- loneraven, on 08/14/2008, -1/+4The next spy movie: Starring Julia Child
- reckage, on 08/14/2008, -0/+3This looks like it has some promise. Leo is sort of doing a Blood Diamond accent again it seems, or maybe I'm just hearing impaired. Russel Crowe is beast though. I'll watch it in theaters but will refrain from saying its the next great thing.
- lacrimosa2008, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2http://benjamin-button-trailer.blogspot.com/
- perdeisel, on 08/14/2008, -1/+3Leo is harsh as *****! anyone who rocks that terrible a beard is the man. just like mark wahlberg. I will watch anything with those guys.
- Rizzler, on 08/14/2008, -1/+3No two ***** ever look the same
At least, not mine. - slinky317, on 08/14/2008, -3/+5It's directed by Ridley Scott, so it's going to turn into an over-sensationalized film with unrealistic technology, undecipherable technobabble, and unyielding techno music.
- d3dm, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2Has Hollywood made a movie in the last 15 years about a US intelligence agency actually doing something good for this country?
I'll admit that I don't know anything about this script other than what I've seen in the trailer, but it looks to be the same old story of a corrupt egomaniacal CIA case director with access to all sorts of high-tech surveillance equipment that is out to promote his career or some hidden agenda at the expense of the idealistic noob.
"The Next Great Spy Movie?" I don't think so. What has Tom Clancy been up to? - VigRoco, on 08/14/2008, -4/+6I hope Leo DOES take a bullet to the head. (just in the movie of course)
- rowlodge, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2guy shoots another guy, explosion, guy dies, spoiler alert!
- sint4x, on 08/14/2008, -2/+3The next great spy movie will come without you knowing.
- buttsakk, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1for some reason i read "Next Great Spy Movie? Bloody Lies..." I was thinking this was a TF2 machinima. :(
- Valyn, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1I had the exact same thoughts.
- MOJIRA, on 08/14/2008, -1/+2You haven't seen it yet you *****.
- Suzilla, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1DiCaprio had one good role: the Gilbert Grape's mentally-challenged little brother. Brilliant performance. Beyond that ... dishwater. meh.
(Waiting for QoS) - lazyrussian, on 08/14/2008, -1/+2Don't worry, it looks like a B movie anyway that Hollywood will hype up.
Same old *****, same old plot. - Homerr, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1I wish the US actaully had the real time communications and surveillance capability shown in these types movies. We keep getting sold that this is 'real' or 'near real', but it it was I can't imagine we'd now be in Iraq so ***** sideways as we are.
- nobody98, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1I'm more worried about dicaprio letting me down than Ridley
- antdude, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1HD QuickTime: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/bodyoflies.html?sh ...
- seks03, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1I seen this at a test screening in Pasadena about 3 months ago, it was a lot better then I thought, great plot twist and a lot of action from the start. it reflects the idea that America's shoot them all and let god sort them out mentality has its consequences, I would recommend watching this.
- d3dm, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1Yes, she's a trained killer with a butcher knife. "Ooooh, it looks like I've cut myself..."
- VigRoco, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1I still haven't seen Blood Diamond yet. Thanks for the spoiler! (j/k)
- inactive, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1Video lagging at 1802 on 8/14/08. Mirror:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUkk9MsWrFA - xavyre, on 08/14/2008, -1/+1Premise sounded stupid. Trailer mostly looked better than premise sounded. Terrorist bad guy looks and acts lame "...just don't lie to me." and the end of the trailer sews it up into a giant 'already been done a million times by having his boss betray him' packaged. Crappy premise + unintelligent script + two mediocre actors = buried.
- Roger, on 08/14/2008, -2/+2Did someone say great spy movie?
