Will Smith is beginning to be taken seriously as a dramatic actor because he EASED into it with action/comedy, and never acted anywhere near as hilariously dumb as Carrey did.

    Jim Carrey's now at about the age where he should have been easing into dramedies0, and picking his scripts wisely. I have no idea what he was thinking with The Number 23.

"Man on the Moon" should have gotten him at least an Oscar nod. And he might have upset people with the "Green Our Vaccines" drive...but he also spoke out to draw attention to Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar. With everything taken into consideration, he's a pretty positive role model.
