- 42Vindictive, on 07/15/2009, -1/+16To be fair, a lot of these were movie stars before they hit TV.
- wingwangdoodle, on 07/15/2009, -2/+16I don't get why this is "jump from TV to film" when a lot of these actors were in movies before they were ever on TV. Although I love that they pictured Jerry Seinfeld as the bee rather than himself.
- NathanielJ, on 07/15/2009, -1/+9Some of those actors indeed made a jump from TV to movies, but not from the shows they mentioned. Steve Carell was in well-known movies before The Office started (Anchorman, Bruce Almighty, and the 40-Year-Old Virgin was the same year as when The Office started). His big TV role was as a correspondent on The Daily Show, which was well before anything else they listed.
Similarly, Jason Segel was in Freaks and Geeks (TV), Can't Hardly Wait (movie) and Slackers (movie) well before any of the stuff they listed. Does it really count as a "jump" from TV to movies if you go back and forth? - buzzd1ggity, on 07/15/2009, -3/+11Good to see Seth Rogan in the center. The guy is a winner in boy book ever since Freaks and Geeks.
- jackcharm, on 07/15/2009, -1/+8No George Clooney?
- CaseL0gic, on 07/15/2009, -1/+4This is a dumb list. First off, some of these people were in movies, especially Hayden (that stupid cheerleader movie). Then, you can't even conclusively tell where like 90% of these actors/actresses fall on this map. Tiny Fey is in some ambiguous area between "Nearly There" and "Belongs on TV", which is like the entire range.
- OnShakedown, on 07/15/2009, -1/+4steve carell's jump is incredible. talented guy.
- Kajaah117, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Over to the right, between "nearly there" and "has potential." As soon as Lost is over, I'm sure a majority of the actor's will be pretty big on movies. Most of them are insanely talented.
- crash331, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Hayden was in Remember the Titans and Raising Helen long before Heroes.
- mywhitenoise, on 07/15/2009, -2/+3Yup, like Katherine Heigl. This person seems to really like Judd Apatow.
- pcflynn89, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1this is a pretty horribly done infographic, its confusing and is visually unappealing. The colors all look similar (whats wrong with green->red gradient) the lines are all curly, the boundaries between regions are unclear..... I could continue.
Also, lots of notable, successful former tv stars left out. Seems like the creator was skewed and wanted to show evidence that onlysupported their opinion.
Buried. - ViperX116, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2Get your eyes checked.
- kylere, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2Who?
- shlebede, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2I don't know how they can have omitted Zach Braff, who wrote and directed the first important movie in which he starred after being discovered in "Scrubs".
And Dugg for the Emma Watson side boob link. Made my day. - jonathanseely, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1Even Stevens, glaringly omitted.
- Strongo, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1that graph kinda sucked
- themonkmob, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1i dont think steve carell belongs there
- wakeboarder1335, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2What no Shia Labeouf and Even Stevens?
- blapierre, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1See, your problem was assuming that blog posts that make it to digg are actually researched before some idiot types them up.
- Ragarnok, on 07/15/2009, -1/+1This only helps to make the wait for that Arrested Development movie that much more difficult
- drummerguy520, on 07/15/2009, -1/+1I think my favorite character that Segel has done is Mike from SLC Punk.
- Ibox, on 07/15/2009, -1/+1Emma Watson side BOOB!!!!!
- schleufer, on 07/15/2009, -2/+1Zachary Quinto nailed it, as far as his role as Spock goes. I suppose Quinto only 'has potential' since his only movie role so far seems to be Star Trek.
I like Jennifer Anniston in most of her movie roles, and Steve Carell definitely deserves to be in the center.
A Bee Movie and Jerry Seinfeld is somewhat of a joke around my household. We can barely think of a worse movie in recent years. Don't get me wrong, Seinfeld was awesome on his own show... but that Bee Movie was horrible. - MLGLies, on 07/15/2009, -3/+1Where's Matthew Fox?
