- EztliNahua, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19God your comment is terrible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111
- feelgoodinc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16This crew handling Batman GETS IT. Sure, deviation from the comic to film is understandable given the nature of the two mediums. That said past translations for a lot of comic characters have been done without respect to the pulp medium from which they originate from. Nolan and crew so far - in my mind - have done an excellent job in staying true to the pulp characters while giving a real world spin on them.
And as far as the whole site play goes, this is an excellent set-up in that you get to see the future Two-Face as the shrewd politician he was and the Joker's total disdain for authority. - dougbarrett, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14Higher resolution of what the end result with be.
Warning, it is kind of graphic.

- ArtGuy2k6, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13People always ask me about my charming boyish smile. Jessica used to love it. She was the loneliest girl in high school, and my first big kiss...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+16I take it you never saw/read the first detective comics ? Research your history kid before you spout off. The jokers antics and devices were exactly like that in the 40's right up to the early 90's......get you head out your ass. Jacks portrayal was dead on !!
- SilentRamble42, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13I guess I'm just more of a fan of the version of the Joker from The Killing Joke, The Dark Knight Returns, etc. Y'know, the one that paralyzed Barbara Gordon, snapped his own neck to frame Batman, and beat Robin with a wrench, followed by a quick case of murder.
How is that not better villain behavior than anything described as "antics?"
Thanks for being civil, though. - Emilio8605, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Then consider my ***** teased.
- BobbyMC, on 07/21/2008, -0/+8Wow, just... wow.... The dots keep growing and... I am really digging what it is starting to look like. ^_^
- cam18, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8As long as they got the sadistic part of his personality correct, I could care less what color of clothes he wears...
- reddevil3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Wow...great viral marketing!
Aaron Eckhart is a great actor...I think he would make a great Dent/Two-Face. I guess the Joker will be responsible for turning him into Two-FacE? - SilentRamble42, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7This marketing is the cocktease for the Batman fan.
- gamabunta, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7This is what came in my inbox:
"I always say, you never know what a man is truly made of until you peel the skin off his face one piece at a time. Here is your chance to help:" - carlosauresrex, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7damn it, if it wasn't a jackal the first time what would make you believe it would be a jackal the first time.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Billy Dee Willams was cast as Harvey Dent by Tim Burton for the first movie ass lick !! Harvey Dent is not black. As the King Pin was not black either but they cast a black man to play the part in Daredevil and made in black in ultimate Spiderman MTV animated series. As they did with Nick Fury as well in the series and Marvel Ultimates series............not that it matters, just saying, Plus Tommy Lee jones portrayal was horrible to say the least of Two Face.
The WB Batman animated series had the best Two Face, even better than the comics - gldfshnpcklejar, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6me neither so I used http://10minutemail.com
because mailinator messed up the link. - Spaceomega, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6This is pretty awesome. I can't wait for The Dark Knight.
- contradictator, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6What do I love about both Digg and Halo 3? The ability to silence morons completely!
*buh-lock-duh* - robshoy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6If you reply to the email, you get this:
"People always ask me about my charming boyish smile. Jessica used to love it. She was the loneliest girl in high school, and my first big kiss..." - GirthAgain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Fancy that.
- imdeanlabouty, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Good call putting it on digg.
Get to it, diggers, it's almost done. - contradictator, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5It works, and it looks like we're gonna get a healthy dose of Killing Joke in this movie.
Even more excited now. - imdeanlabouty, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6No need to digg him down, he's quoting the email you get back if you reply to the one you get after filling out the form.
- themanmachine, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5rccola, is that really the end photo? there's a bunch more pixels left to fill
- contradictator, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5It didn't work with my Hotmail, but it did with my Gmail.
Also, try entering your email a second time, see what he tells you..
So damn excited for this movie. - BobbyMC, on 07/21/2008, -0/+3Oh, and please note his face is torn open.
- bocanegra, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6i'm not saying this is fake... but how do we know that the page is from WB?

- BobbyMC, on 07/21/2008, -1/+4Wow, this finally made the front page... sweet. It's been up all day Digg effect free so hopefully this can end soon now.
Some bits of info. If you send a reply to the email address the link comes from you will get another cryptic message. Also, GMail accounts can be reused by adding either +1, +2 etc or adding a period between any name, like bat.man@gmail.com instead of batman@gmail.com
Oh, and it is probably real. Or the best fakery ever. The speed of the servers is way too high for some average punk to have done it. Plus the source of the site seems to come from a bunch of the movie sites who don't doubt it at all in their articles despite IMDB users thinking it must be fake simply due to its sheer awesomeness. - spdrxc, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4It's a Jackal!
- BobbyMC, on 07/21/2008, -2/+3People thought the Joker was gonna be responsible for Two Face. Then Sal Maroni was confirmed, but if this site is to be taken at "face" value (wokka wokka) it implies the Joker has great interest in Harvey Dent.
Actually, it comes off like the Joker is looking to Harvey Dent as he did to Gordon in The Killing Joke. The likelihood of the Joker using his posey on Dent has gone back up. - greenriver572, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1anyone know when its coming out?
- PFinn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1now it is saying that the page cannot be found for the Joker part of this.... anyone know if that means it was indeed a fake?
- Noctem, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I had heard of Eckhart before, but not really seen him in anything before 'Thank You For Smoking' - His performance in that flick made me think he was one of the top actors of his generation. And that movie just plain ruled. Can't wait to see him in this!
- pfleischman, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1If you paste it into word or something like that and remove all of the H's and A's it leaves "see you in December"
- feelgoodinc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1@NenDaiKi
I take it more as the Joker's total disdain for authority and his desires to inflict pain upon those that hold authoritative power. I do agree, though, that there appears to be a subtle "Killing Joke" connection with the way the site plays out. Perhaps the Joker manipulates Maroni to carry out his agenda? - TheSenator624, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"They all looked hand written despite what other reports said. Also I doubt that Warner Bros would only send out a few to one comic book shop in SoCal."
They could easily have been hand-written. It's called an intern... I'm sure WB employs interns they can sit down and have write all over the cards.
And why wouldn't WB send a few to just one comic shop? A comic shop in Australia got a glyph during the LOST Experience ARG. With the internet and sites like digg around, studios don't have to put forth a lot of effort to get worldwide attention.
I've never been to Comic-Con, so I'm not familiar with their tracks or schedule for this year. Anyone know how likely some more viral campaigning will happen there? (A la the Rachel Blake appearance at last year's Con..) - PathDaemon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2The response:
"People always ask me about my charming boyish smile. Jessica used to love it. She was the loneliest girl in high school, and my first big kiss..."
EDIT: Subsequent replies are yielding naught. - Neourotick, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1i cant believe heath leadger is the joker.
- lgrayson, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0If you highlight the Web page (drag the cursor across the screen), you'll see that it's filled with laughter (and a hidden message for those patient enough to put it together). Of course, you could always search the Web - or I'm sure the next post will list it :)
- Sethd85, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Bizarre. If that's the Joker, they have certainly taken a lot of creative liberties with the character. I trust Nolan and Co., they won't let us down.
- Majupra, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Looks like the joker will have scars extending his mouth from a "Chelsea Grin" style attack in his earlier days maybe? With some big stitches in his cheeks... Earlier make-up made him look more like the crow than joker, but this is pretty badass.
- onaps6453, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1When you reply to the email that is sent to you ..... the joker sends something back....i got this "People always ask me about my charming boyish smile. Jessica used to love it. She was the loneliest girl in high school, and my first big kiss..."
hmm...some character development already? damn this is going to be awesome... - sjpspread, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0DO YOU BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT?
http://www.spreadshirt.net/shop.php?sid=252496 - SilentRamble42, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4Maybe, just maybe, we'll finally get a portrayal of the Joker that's true to the comics...
No more 3 foot long anti-aircraft pistols - kalak5, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2EDIT: nevermind, im just stupid.
- RedClover9, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2I dont know if I believe this. Looking at the info that bocanegra posted, in combination with looking at the final picture, it seems fake.
The shot seems photoshopped. Looking at the side of his mouth on the right hand side, it looke like a smudge mark gone too far. And the right side of the head looks a bit blurred and uneven.
I may just be looking into this too much, but if I were gonna do a photoshop job, that pic could be redone without too much work.
I really hope that this is legit. If its not, then my hats off to whoever was able to collect this many emails with this scam. -
