- bananaspiders, on 07/07/2008, -3/+35I can't wait... everything I've read and seen about Heath Ledger's performance has "legendary" written all over it... ***** yeah!
- nsbomb, on 07/07/2008, -5/+36Buried. MTV destroyed music.
- bjs3171, on 07/07/2008, -2/+18one of the comments under the story:
"Lionk (07.07.08 | 11:11 AM)
I was just wondering but didn't jim carrey portray the joker when val kilmer was batman."
oy vey. - Jeps, on 07/07/2008, -0/+15Buried for not having any reference to Mark Hamill.
- SirTheGuy, on 07/07/2008, -4/+17MTV's still around?
- spookyttws, on 07/07/2008, -1/+11Although I've been avoiding the trailers like the plague, (I want to know nothing of the story) I'm more excited about The Dark Knight, and Ledger's performance than any other movie this year. (Now that Iron Man has passed that is.)
- Andyhannon, on 07/07/2008, -3/+12As much as I'd rather not digg a story on MTV's website...I just love the joker too goddamn much
- kingwalterii, on 07/07/2008, -1/+9You really couldnt post a direct link... http://www.movies-on-demand.tv/movie/2052-Batman_G ...
- GiJoeBob, on 07/07/2008, -2/+9I'm glad the general population and not just comic geeks are getting to see what Batman and The Joker are really all about.
- dagnabbit, on 07/07/2008, -0/+7I didn't know the Joker was based on another character, "The Man Who Laughs". Very interesting, and of course a strong resemblance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS2qLVoHEpA

- Remmiz, on 07/07/2008, -1/+6No one wants to read your blog, sorry.
- madk, on 07/07/2008, -2/+7Get off of my internets MTV!
- MewTwo, on 07/07/2008, -2/+7a wise man once said that
"ledger will play as the joker... nicholson will play as, well, nicholson" - sadsadrobot, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4He probably would have made a better Joker.
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -2/+6As a licensed, professional pilot of butts, I find your comment offensive.
- gogurt666, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4"I hope he does get an Oscar."
Just because he's dead doesn't mean his performance was Oscar worthy. Not to sound insensitive. It's just the truth. - bozodaclown51, on 07/07/2008, -1/+4dugg for embracing a pun rather trying to pretend it wasn't intentional
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3...um...yes mayhemchaos, that is exactly like it
- derpoopflinger, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3I agree, whatever interested I had in batman Digg has sucessfully trashed
- TheBuz, on 07/07/2008, -1/+4Mark Hamill will always be the best Joker.
- MewTwo, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2haha... we're all getting a little belligerent about this.
- Gerz1219, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Hmm, your name is giveupsin and you're obsessed with the Joker's sexuality. Stop tapping your feet in anticipation of the movie, Heath Ledger is dead.
- BaldMonkey, on 07/07/2008, -3/+5It was an accident, not a suicide.
http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20173170,0 ... - inactive, on 07/07/2008, -2/+4I think the destruction of music was a combined effort by the butt-pilots who make ***** music, the butt-pilots who distribute and promote it, and - mainly - the butt-pilots who actually buy the ***** music.
- ansatsu29, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2thanks for the comment, but I'm one of the people that believed in Ledger's talent regardless if I have seen the full version of the film first or not.
I believe the Ledger CAN portray the character very well based on his acting capacity. - jdfwarrior, on 07/07/2008, -1/+3Agreed. MTV is the biggest POS tv channel of all times now. Theres nothing Music about it anymore. Should be STV for s*** tv. Theres nothing but a bunch of stupid reality shows playing now, suitable for a bunch of little drama loving teenage girls. I have enough crap to deal with in my own life and better things to do than to worry about someone else's life(thats scripted in the first place).
- JBrown99, on 07/07/2008, -1/+3Agreed. Nicholson is too full of himself to play a role as anyone but 'Nicholson'.
- ansatsu29, on 07/07/2008, -1/+2Ledger portrayed the best on-screen "Joker" ever. Cant wait to see the film, how he will throw problems on the Bat and invoke fear among Gotham's citizens.
- mediaspree, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Less than two weeks!
- ippey, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1A good read, despite it being from MTV.
Try reading the article, and if you don't like it, bash it for it's content instead of bashing MTV at first glance. - banmaster, on 07/07/2008, -1/+2Yeah, and a lot of people don't get pregnant from sex because they use the 'rhythm method'.
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -2/+3Your comment is a portrait in failing.
"Ledger is the best/can't wait to see a film I've not seen yet."
.... - mayhemchaos, on 07/07/2008, -5/+6Hard to imagine someone accidentally overdosing. It's like saying you accidentally got lung cancer from smoking
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -3/+4***** VIACOM
- derpoopflinger, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1nah all these dark knight posts have gotten worse than spam, plus it isn't making my penis larger
- antdude, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Joker grafitti? :)
- AWOL007, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joker_(comics)
- Khanvalescent, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1Mayhemchaos:
To die from an overdose can happen after one incident of poor judgment.
Smoking-caused lung cancer takes years if not decades of poor judgment. - V-Mob, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1remember when ron paul was popular?
- du4l1ty, on 07/07/2008, -1/+2Sounds like someone's a little insecure.
- derpoopflinger, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1jeezus give the dark knight stuff a break, we really don't need to hear about it a dozen times a day, and because a trailer has an extra second of footage doesn't mean you should post about it. YAYA we get it you're excited to see the movie, I was too, but with all the hype on digg it kinda has ruined it for me
- Niightwitch, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1"Ledger portrayed the best on-screen "Joker" ever."
How can you make a statement like this when you haven't even seen his performance yet? - inactive, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1JOKER OWNS ALL
- mlrigsby, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Actually, music is stronger than ever. As the symbol of everything that is evil and stupid and wrong about corporate music, I think MTV has inadvertently helped create and encourage the independent music scene, if only as a foil.
- charlietuna, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Ugh but really MTV? Can you polish a turd?
- Radkon1, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1no Jim Carrey played the Riddler
- Cerebron, on 07/07/2008, -0/+0Maybe he can play the joker in the next film.
