    • musicbear, on 03/14/2008, -4/+3It's pretty sweet looking, but the hulk still looks like a giant gumby doll. It completely takes you out of the film with it's bad, gumby, unrealistic way of moving and behaving. The rest of the film should have been made like Beowulf where everything was CGI and hyper real. That way the Hulk wouldn't look so incredibly unreal and fake in a live action setting, he would be part of a hyper realistic world. They might as well have had Peter Griffen VS. The Chicken. I wouldn't have been any less removed from the film. It could be Kyle and Cartman. It just looks like goofy and fake. For all that's been said about this Hulk re-do, it's still a fake poorly animated Hulk trying to look "real" inside a real world setting. Straight to the Wal-Mart $6.99 bin...

Last time I heard that from actors was when that crappy Jack Black Envy movie, and we know how that turned out.

I know he wrote the script, with his brother or someone else...not sure who. So I would think that he would have some if not a lot more control over the overall movie. He is a pretty big actor, and I am sure he holds some weight.

Unfortunately, things like story, editing, photography, scoring, everything always take a back seat to bottom line and the people who put up millions to make movies are taking a big risk so they can't really play nice. Let's hope the fan boys who put together those gay, story-less Star Wars short films with fabulous production and painful wooden acting will eventually join forces with people who can write...remove the middle man, let people make the movies people want to see.

      • TimDigg, on 03/14/2008, -0/+1I think Superhero movies are typically judged on stricter standards mainly because they are the type of movie you would go see anyways even if it was bad. For example I knew FF2:ROTSS would be terrible but I went to see it anyways. Same with the last superman movie.

        Even if they made a really cheesy and poorly acted Captain America movie, we would all go see it, just because its Captain America.

        So with these movies we tend to judge beyond just sales.

        Almost any superhero made is enjoyed "a little bit" by most people, which is why they are judged so harshly.

    Hopefully by the time it hits theaters it will look perfect.

And then there was Hulk's goofy father, with the classic line: "Do you really think that I am separate from you?"

    To be honest this revamp looks like a "copy and paste" ! Movie version of the 70's series done by Bill Bixby ! Everything will be about banners feelings and such and only show the Hulk when trouble is abound for 2 mins before he reverts back ! I honest don't think liv tylor can out act Jennifer Connoly my 2 cents

    I liked the Ang Lee version - it grew on me over a couple viewings. But, I look forward to a bit more mayhem. It looks like this one will deliver.
