- rad4Christ, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Is there ANY industry free of fanboyism?
- johnham, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17I don't know. I liked the first two movies but this just looked a little bit more....forced?
It seems like they're kind of running out of ideas; though they LOVE parodying other movies, possibly too much so. - kee440, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1DTA8fjzqQ
- SlappyMc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13I didn't get the same special feeling I did when I saw the first two trailers. The Pinocchio and Boat scenes were hilarious though.
- danakin, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15Your words are marked, as idiotic.
Shrek and Shrek 2 were some of the best selling animated movies EVER. - ryllharu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10@btswrkng
You may be right about your last post on most accounts, but Cars is hardly the classic some of Pixar's other films were. That was a cast-off since it was their last one with Disney before the buyout. There's visibly less effort in the designs and rendering of the characters. - gelgod, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13Crap crap crappity crap CRAP!
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Just you.
- ryllharu, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I was questioning if they *really* needed a third movie when I read the topic, but after watching it I know even if its a lot of the same jokes (from either Shrek movies or other movies), I'll still end up going to see it and probably enjoy myself.
- wisam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Beware, it's a 50 MB download.
- konspence, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Apology accepted.
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9No, Hes an Apple Fanboy. Pixar is closely related to Disney, and is subsequently closely related to Apple, so he is annoyed at Apple's second cousin's rival, Dreamworks.
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10"we don't want to install Quicktime on our Windows machines because Apple seems to keep trying to install iTunes with it"
Or you could download the stand-alone version of quicktime like I do
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html - Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Looks ***** amazing. Can't wait.
- kee440, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10Not everyone can watch QT videos though.
- HP844182, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I really didn't want to go see the first Shrek...I was thinking it was going to be too kiddy for me...but it was really a very funny movie...Shrek 2 was even better and I'm going to go see this one as well.
- doodlebumm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6The nice thing about VLC is that it does just about any format, so you don't need other players. Get used to that one, and use it everywhere for everything.
I didn't have any problems playing it with VLC. It did both audio and video very well. - johnham, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6If nothing else you have to admit that in fifteen or twenty years, the refrences that the Shrek series thrives on are going to be helplessly dated.
Not to say that all Pixar movies are incredible classics, but Toy Story will resonate for a long, long time. - 98acura, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Comparing "Finding Nemo" to "Shark Tale" is like comparing "Days of Thunder" to "Fast and Furious"... They're both about cars... They MUST be the same thing right? My initial response was right.. You're a tool..
*Disclaimer: This does not signify that I like/dislike "Days of Thunder" or "The Fast and Furious" - loof, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5you can opt not to install itunes with it. Youtube's quality isn't very good but it is convenient.
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7you couldn't be more wrong. that is an terrible comparison. Dreamworks does a great job. Yea, they aren't all as good as Pixar, but I like Shrek just as much as any movie Pixar has done.
The comparison is more like Dreamworks Animation is to Pixar as Samsung is to Philips (or vis versa). You get my point. They are pretty close. - ChillyEli, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Anyone have a Youtube link yet? Pretty please?
- Steek, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I liked the trailer you negative nancys can go back to negative town.
- Wootery, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7@Antitorgo
"Apple seems to keep trying to install iTunes with it and we don't want that DRM crap on our computers", solution : K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.
(I'm not 100% sure it's 100% legal, but it has enough codecs included to play just about any video you can throw at it.) - lordsteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2. . . Captain Needa.
- imikedaman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@johnham: "If nothing else you have to admit that in fifteen or twenty years, the refrences that the Shrek series thrives on are going to be helplessly dated."
The references in the Shrek series are already dated - they're parodying movies from like 40+ years ago. I don't think another 15 will do anything to that. - Bartboy919, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2quiet! you jelly filled mutton head!
- wideawakewesley, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2While I realise Shrek 1 & 2 are massively popular, I never found them funny at all.
- ovni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't worry, there are still plenty of adventures to be had by our ogre friend:

http://videoeta.com/movie/65747 - JurneyAhed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hmm, VLC ran it with audio only.
- Cymrubeats, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Can anyone answer a question for me...i loaded it up in FF, but couldn't right clcik/save as source (i'm using QT alternative), but when i loaded it in IE, i could right click and save as...any idea what's going on?
- autoacat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1If this trailer is any indication, they're really running out of things to do with the Shrek franchise. Something that ended properly after the first one and would probably be better off if it stayed that way.
- zouhair, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1KILL TRAILERS MAKERS!!!
- lordsteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Being the first trailer, it's bound to have some technical/visual differences from the actual finished product. I remember thinking King Kong was going to look like crap because of the first trailer I saw for it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Shrek is overrated *****.
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I felt like the ran out of ideas after the first one. Don't get me wrong the second was kinda funny I guess, but not nearly as much as the first.
- kee440, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Uploading at the mo.
- riplikethat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Who said anything about going to the theater? Call them movie studios and see if they can deliver a theater for you at home.. if they laugh at you, threaten them by telling them how you just downloaded their movie off the torrent..
Trailer is good though, as usual. - Cymrubeats, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Nevermind, i don't really care any more, i'll sort it out another time. :P That was sweet though, i loved the first two and this looks like it's going to be just as good.
- naveenjn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For those who don't want to download the large 51 MB quicktime file, and yet have it in high quality, here is the teaser trailer of Shrek The Third (Shrek 3) in high quality AVI format.
http://www.blockbusters.in/bollywood/international/shrek-3-high-quality-teaser-trailer-for-download/ - adiazar, on 10/28/2007, -0/+0I agree with autoacat, trailers are usually nothing.

http://michigan.onlinebizbuzz.com/ - dcbebop, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I have to agree with the negative comments here, unfortunately.
The first two were great. This one looks like they're struggling for material. - johnham, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4@98acura
So you're taking issue with the idea of comparing two Family movies, that are BOTH computer animated, came out within a couple years of each other, feature sea creatures as the main characters, and take place in the ocean? While yes, they are not TECHNICALLY the same movie, they are absolutely comparable, and to suggest that they are so different is ***** retarded. - towle_42, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2First off shrimpdesign is right and iTunes has no inherent DRM just the music store and how about QTFairUse to strip your music of the DRM, so I would appreciate it if all the Apple haters would shut the ***** up unless you know what your talking about. I miss it when digg had less idiots, and every other story wasn't some youtube video.
- radekg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I didn't like the second one but first Shrek was awesome and fresh
- btswrkng, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4@98acura:
So I suppose it's just coincidence that Dreamworks released Antz in the same time frame as A Bug's Life, Shark Tale at the same time as Finding Nemo, Shrek at the same time as Monsters, Inc., right? They (Dreamworks, not Pixar) were obviously inviting such comparisons as the ones I made.
Also, notice how I am merely offering an opinion/argument without resorting to childish name-calling. - VipeNess, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4can't wait to see it. my kids will enjoy this for sure. but 1 thing i did notice in the backgrounds of the beginning and middle parts, that none of the backgrounds are moving. that will prouble be fixed in the final version.
- inthe80s, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2all it did for me, is give me the desire to listen to the Ramones...looks ok, not sure it's worth going to the theater to see it though.
