- SpectralSounds, on 11/14/2008, -12/+142Right now he is supporting about 6 feet of dirt.
Too soon? - ohnoerino, on 11/14/2008, -4/+108I bet Heath Ledger will get best supporting actor.
- TheTyPod, on 11/14/2008, -1/+97Sooo... you liked his voice? Or not?
- mikbunn, on 11/14/2008, -4/+88What?
- pitchblack16, on 11/14/2008, -23/+99Christian Bale had an awesome Batman voice, I don't care what anyone says... Seriously speaking that was probably the only bad thing about the movie.
- Shogi, on 11/14/2008, -3/+72Wrong. Two-Face's role may have been small, but he had perhaps an even bigger impact on Batman than Joker did, because Dent was Batman's way out, Dent was the sign that the city was changing for the better, that Gotham could be fixed and wouldn't need Batman anymore. Joker didn't just destroy that, he corrupted it and showed Batman a Gotham that may never get better, that can just as easily go from good to bad overnight.
- Zippo, on 11/14/2008, -1/+65obligatory (gargling rocks) "WHERE IS SHE?!?!"
- Llanowar, on 11/15/2008, -2/+64I find your humour to be disgusting and absolutely tasteless!
I applaud thee. - irfanmp, on 11/14/2008, -2/+61I bet it'll win the Academy Award for Best Movie Ever Made. Like Highlander.
- vic42482, on 11/14/2008, -6/+46Why supporting? That movie should've been titled The Joker. He was the lead actor in that movie and the best part of that movie by far.
- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -3/+35Perfect. If you didn't I would've eventually.
- dthomp17, on 11/15/2008, -3/+31its cool to hate on Dark Knight now? i didnt know that.
- wukillabee, on 11/15/2008, -3/+30Rambo is easily the best movie of 08, it should win at least half the oscars
- Falldog, on 11/15/2008, -1/+24What, no nominations for Morgan Freeman playing Morgan Freeman, Wayne Enterprises CEO?
- Falldog, on 11/15/2008, -1/+24Am I the only one who thinks Aaron Eckhart's role is highly under appreciated?
- supersteve, on 11/14/2008, -1/+23oh well the sales speak for them selves. Does it really matter if it wins any or not. They made a crap load of money. Only second to Titanic (unfortunately). Then again it would be sweet for a comic book movie to win an Oscar.
- scoottie, on 11/15/2008, -1/+23The oscar winners have been so politicized and the wrong movies have won for some many years its a surprise anyone cares anymore.
- smjenkins, on 11/15/2008, -4/+26i agree...not even close to one of the best movies ever made as it is constanty claimed to be (although it is a good movie)
- NathanielJ, on 11/15/2008, -1/+23"2 - The Dark Knight is still pushing hard in the Best Picture category - the only Oscar that people actually care about - and at this point it’s hard to see how it could lose."
Really? I loved TDK as much as the next guy, but has the author ever watched the Oscars before? - Vodd9, on 11/15/2008, -20/+42I think The Dark Knight was a incredible movie, but overrated.
- afeitarse, on 11/15/2008, -2/+23Ah, yes, I'm glad you're so cultured, Mr. 'Aristotle Dude'. We all bow to your off-topic, irrelevant, and stereotypical opinions of anglos. It really does take a sophisticated ear to catch Mr. Bale's Batmanian accent, doesn't it? I'm sure a college education will really help with it.
- TheTyPod, on 11/14/2008, -2/+23I'll just send them a letter saying it's okay for TDK to win for best score.
I know it's not a big deal, but everyone just chill out. - inactive, on 11/15/2008, -1/+22http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2yv8aT0UFc
- inactive, on 11/15/2008, -0/+20Silly Digg.
It's like a ***** high school clique. - inactive, on 11/14/2008, -4/+24That was confusing... try using one of these "/s" next time. You wouldn't want someone to accidentally your whole sentence...
Christian Bale's Batman Voice was the only bad part of the movie and it was pretty ***** terrible, imho. - inactive, on 11/15/2008, -0/+20He quit us.
- pitchblack16, on 11/14/2008, -4/+22ummm, not.
- T8erT0T, on 11/15/2008, -0/+17Yes, but you're forgetting... "There can only be one!"
- Ajajadude, on 11/15/2008, -1/+17I agree. The more I thought about it after I saw the movie, the more I realized it wasn't as great as everyone was making it out to be. While it was absolutely awesome, it isn't the greatest movie out there. And the rabid fanboys aren't making it easier to like it more.
- mikbunn, on 11/14/2008, -0/+16Yeah! That'd show.... someone.
- osukwm, on 11/14/2008, -19/+34It should definitely win the Oscar for Most Unnecessary Second Villain.
- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -9/+23what ever happened to that guy?
- Shogi, on 11/14/2008, -1/+14His voice was much better in the first one, I have no idea what happened with it. I ***** love the movie, but there were a couple parts where I couldn't tell what he was saying.
- DavidGuetta9, on 11/15/2008, -1/+14Too soon. It hasn't been 22.3 years.
/south park - Phelyx, on 11/15/2008, -1/+13Funny to me that people don't seem to understand the reason for "the voice." It's a common thing when people don't want to be recognized that they would whisper or use a less modulated voice when they speak - making ransom demands or threats, for instance. Since Bruce Wayne is a relatively public figure, it would have been one of those things in a film where people said, "Can't anyone recognize his VOICE?!?!" if they didn't have the character disguise it like that. It was done for a very real purpose, not just so sound weird.
- Xviper78, on 11/15/2008, -0/+11No Country for Old Men. There will be Blood. See, that wasn't so hard.
- t3hmyth, on 11/14/2008, -0/+11This is as bad as when the There Will Be Blood soundtrack was ineligible for nomination.
- t3hmyth, on 11/14/2008, -0/+11Obligatory: Y'all posin' in a troll thread.
- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -2/+13So ridiculously over the top... how the hell could anyone take his voice seriously? Bale needs to tone it down for round three.
- anagoge, on 11/15/2008, -0/+11That needs to be submitted in its own right.
- Shogi, on 11/15/2008, -0/+10Way to be an ignorant ***** "aristotle", an ironic name at best.
I'm quite good at deciphering accents seeing as half my family are Haitian and speak creole and another chunk are Nigerian with strong accents. The problem however, arises when Mr. Bale exhales more than he articulates, so anything he's speaking gets lost beneath his breathing and growling. Even a truly talented multi-lingual scholar would have a hard time describing that as a "*slight* accent".
Also, I'm not "anglo", I'm African-American, and I'm in college learning a new language. So please, shut the ***** up you arrogant stereotyping *****-flap. - GawtMilk, on 11/15/2008, -0/+10Thank You For Smoking Eckhart > Dark Knight Eckhart.
He seemed a bit out of place in this movie. - palehorse864, on 11/15/2008, -1/+10@jave8u
Why so serious? - andrewlotta, on 11/15/2008, -0/+8"To the casual observer, it looked as though The Dark Knight would win every single Oscar that it put itself in for, but already that’s not the case."
Who the hell thought TDK would be nominated for any Oscars besides possibly "best supporting actor"?
I know I will be dugg down for this, but I think it was just a bit overrated, or maybe the buzz/hype killed it for me. - whatthefu, on 11/15/2008, -1/+9I liked it and I'm not being sarcastic. :(
- FrankenTank, on 11/15/2008, -1/+9When I first read this comment, I thought "nobody can be this stupid." Then I looked at the name of the poster, and I just had to digg it. Because it made me laugh.
- antdude, on 11/15/2008, -0/+8"Why so serious?"
- NathanielJ, on 11/15/2008, -1/+9Obvious troll is obvious. Give less over-the-top reasons next time if you want to get a rise out of people.
- swik, on 11/15/2008, -1/+9Actually he might have been the most necessary second villain ever. I say this because if the third movie is even close to as good as TDK then he becomes vital. He completely sets up Batman's relationship with Gotham and his role in general.
- JessicaSarahS, on 11/15/2008, -1/+9Posting in character I see...
