- yugosakimi, on 12/16/2008, -6/+212I protest vehemently over this. "Blade" was shockingly bad, and The Crow doesn't need remaking in any way, whatsoever. Screenwriters, directors and producers: Use NEW ideas!
- lemercier, on 12/16/2008, -3/+126The Crow is sacred. Leave it be!
- nichesiteexpert, on 12/16/2008, -2/+125Because apparently we've run out of new ideas.
- sagenhoney, on 12/16/2008, -3/+125The first Crow was fine, all others fail...so I second the Boo notion
- TimDub, on 12/16/2008, -1/+119No. No no no no. Do not ***** with this movie.
- codeblue315, on 12/16/2008, -3/+118Nobody can EVER replace Brandon Lee in The Crow.
- esni, on 12/16/2008, -2/+83Boo.
- lotar732, on 12/16/2008, -1/+77Hey, lets remake Shawshank Redemption... it wasn't good enough the first time!
- Miamisun, on 12/16/2008, -3/+73The Crow died with Brandon Lee.
- nightManCometh, on 12/16/2008, -2/+49***** you hollywood. This is one thing you shouldn't touch.
- JeffH, on 12/16/2008, -4/+48Except someone already did in a couple scenes of the original.
Oh snap. - ByrcheWroot, on 12/16/2008, -2/+40Sometimes I hate Hollywood.
- krisscofield, on 12/16/2008, -3/+37Even though it strayed from the original comic book, who gives a *****? The end result was a cult film that people STILL love. You can't recreate that.
- irvin666, on 12/16/2008, -4/+37Why not a remake of armageddon?
- ICLW, on 12/16/2008, -1/+31"fire it up, fire it up"
Keanu Reeves IS the Crow. *shudder* - staffell, on 12/16/2008, -4/+32Make doubly sure the gun isn't loaded this time, ok?
- cubanDUB, on 12/16/2008, -1/+27so we remade movies from the 60s..[psycho]..the 70s [chainsaw massacre, last house on left, halloween] 80s..[prom night,f13,elm street] and now we moving on to the 90s? what the *****?the crow isnt even 20 years old and its being remade? whats next? Scream remake? clueless remake? i also even heard of a "in the mouth of madness" remake coming soon..***** man they should do what they used to do back in "the early 2000s" and re-release movies! seeing the exorcist, grease and e.t. on the big screen was great!
- cle2105, on 12/16/2008, -4/+30Please don't
- Gudlyf, on 12/16/2008, -1/+23I agree. I'll forever remember Brandon Lee for his amazing (and tragic) role in this movie. To remake this is blasphemy. If they want to do a remake, take any one of the craptacular sequels, if anything.
- ByrcheWroot, on 12/16/2008, -0/+22Sweet idea. How about Ashton Kutcher and Eddie Murphy play Andy and Red? Actually Eddie could also play the warden, Hadley, Brooks and Tommy too.
- phogasmic, on 12/16/2008, -4/+25This is the stupidest idea ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Crow is awesome exactly how it is. Why ruin it???? All of the sequels sucked ASS!
- Fuckmypooplease, on 12/16/2008, -1/+20Ehh..Blade was greatly entertaining. I don't care what it does or doesn't do to the comic if that's your argument, it was entertaining and a decent film.
As for this remake, i'm crying. - Jimboquint88, on 12/16/2008, -1/+19great, so next halloween will be filled with Jokers and the Crows. yipee...
/wrist - pbrubaker, on 12/16/2008, -1/+18Make it stop, please.
- nightManCometh, on 12/16/2008, -0/+17“Whereas Proyas’ original was gloriously gothic and stylized, the new movie will be realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style,” Norrington told Daily Variety.
That sounds awful. 'Realistic' ? wtf? - joemofo214, on 12/16/2008, -3/+20http://digg.com/movies/10_Worst_Science_Fiction_Mo ...
pretty soon the list will be changed from 10 to 11 - DanOnTheMoon, on 12/16/2008, -0/+16The Crow (1) - leave it alone. Remake 2 and 3, they got 5/5 coathangers on my abortion scale.
- romlalji, on 12/16/2008, -0/+16the stp song on there was awesome too...big empty i think
- Jonjonr6, on 12/16/2008, -1/+17How about a remake of The Dark Knight? I mean, its so old, it just came out on DVD. Or Iron Man, it's really old. The latest technology could make it even better than before!
- 4NDr01D, on 12/16/2008, -2/+18one of the best sndtrks of the last decade
which will not be reduplicated by today's bands
no just no - dangerdooms, on 12/16/2008, -7/+22Alright, alright. Settle down Shia LaBeouf.
- rsbryswrrl, on 12/16/2008, -0/+15The whole point of the fu**ing Crow is to be gothic and stylized! If I wanted a realistic, documentary style movie, I'd watch Se7en again for the 50,000th time.
- astyguy, on 12/16/2008, -4/+18only if "the cure" do the soundtrack ....
- flashboy131, on 12/16/2008, -5/+19your comment is a waste of energy.
- mywhitenoise, on 12/16/2008, -1/+15Just wait for the abomination that will be the Karate Kid remake. Directed by Will Smith, and starring his son as the karate kid...sad thing is, this isn't a joke.
- tmwsiy47, on 12/16/2008, -0/+14and don't forget the NIN song. Ahh, the memories
- so1omon, on 12/16/2008, -3/+16What the crap?!
- PopcornDave, on 12/16/2008, -1/+14But you know they'll get Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance and 50 cent to do the soundtrack.
- lazyfisherman, on 12/16/2008, -4/+17Seriously, The Crow is one movie that does NOT need to be remade...
- lokee73, on 12/16/2008, -1/+13Although I do have problems with the movie; it was a very good movie nonetheless.
I think that the bigger issue is NO ONE will be able to follow Brandon Lee. He was perfect for the part in every way and if he hadn't died; that was the movie that was going to make him a superstar.
Also, all these franchise reboots seem to have one thing in common: They all make a darker version of the original.
The only way to possibly make The Crow any darker would be to go back to the source material and follow it more closely - bring back the drug use, bring back the rape/necro-rape, bring back the cutting, etc.
The only thing they are going to be able to do is create - not a film - but a....marketing tool to use on all these ***** tween girls that got all gushy over Twilight. - flashboy131, on 12/16/2008, -0/+12that was years ago.
- artfiend77, on 12/16/2008, -1/+12And you know this because you can see into the future?
Jackass. - rsbryswrrl, on 12/16/2008, -0/+11Even being the Johnny Depp fan that I am, I don't want to see another version of the Crow with him or anyone else in it. The original was as near to movie perfection as you can get and one of my all-time favorite movies. Maybe whoever got this *terrific* idea could have put it to use on the latest Crow franchise movie that came out with Tara f***ing Reid in it!
- Neoanarchist, on 12/16/2008, -0/+10Except the Crow isn't really science fiction...however your goal remains in tact as I agree they will most likely ***** this up.
- theberlindoctor, on 12/16/2008, -1/+11Watched the day the earth stood still last night. They sure as ***** are out of ideas. Upon watching it and the trailer to the new star trek (which was nothing but ***** explosions) it dawned on me: They're taking old movies whose worth was weighted in its ideas and emotional depth and just stuffing them full of good looking people and as many explosions as the CG guys can do while minimizing what made the originals good in the first place. Way to miss the point.
***** you hollywood. - leif777, on 12/16/2008, -2/+12Jesus... how long are they going to take to start redoing movies now?... hey I've got a great idea... lets redo Twilight!!!!
- inactive, on 12/16/2008, -0/+9Only sometimes?
- motivatedguy, on 12/16/2008, -0/+9'Come on Hollywood... Hollywood is the only place besides government where you can fail upwards. The Crow is one of my favorite movies... I feel like I'm being raped. Hollywood - "Let's get Christian Bale to Re-boot the franchise"
- Neoanarchist, on 12/16/2008, -2/+11How about the Hulk remake? haha.
